How DARE you even mentioning Cirrus in the same sentence as this work of art! 😝 I have a 1959 Comanche 250 as well and can attest to the solid feel. Piper "over engineered" it and it shows. What an amazing restoration!
I love my Lopristi converted 65 Comanche. I have completely restored mine but my problem is I rarely get to enjoy it here in AZ. The constant turbulence and high wind has me hanging on for dear life all year long. Plus, flying without a turbo at 10.5k makes the plane handle like a leaf in a hurricane. It is best suited for the Midwest at lower altitudes
You do realize that CAPS is a thing with Cirrus only because the plane isn’t spin certified? The only reason they make those things with parachutes is because the FAA forces them too.

Gotta be expensive to do all that work on a 65 year old plane. Looks great. Performance in 1959 put this ahead of even the Bonanza IMO. A dream plane.

Beats a (*!@ all day long......Beautiful bird!
Nice ship! Not one shot of the interior? Must not be a selling point
@@lanceg.8458 should’ve gotten some interior video, but plenty of photos on live listing www.masonamelia.com/showroom/n5693p-piper-comanche-250
You clearly didn't watch the whole video LOL
@@boogerwood Twice, I'm not talking about the panel.... clearly-
No engine shot, no talk of radio capabilities, exterior wow factor alone doesn't justify the price tho.
Feel free to pursue the listing:

Cirrus "like" performance until the engine quits...Then you'll wish you were in an actual Cirrus with CAPS
I own a Cirrus! For the Comanche or legacy aircraft fanatics, this one hits the spot…
