  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 13 ก.ค. 2018
  • In our last episode of amazing Nigerians, we featured a Nigerian born medical doctor Olutoye who had operated on a 23 weeks old fetus after which he returned the fetus to its mother’s womb to complete the full gestation period of nine months,a feat which has generated a worldwide recognition of the baby that was born ‘twice’ .
Today we are featuring yet another distinguished Nigerian, Adebayo Ogunlesi known as “the man who bought the Airports...
Adebayo Ogunlesi JD, the owner of Gatwick airport, London City Airport, Edinburgh Airport all in the United Kingdom. This outstanding first class airports owner is a Nigerian-born lawyer .
Adebayo Ogunlesi is a highly-successful investment banker and private equity tycoon. He is the founder, chairman, and managing partner of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a New York-based private equity firm, with over $35 billion assets under investment.
“Bayo” for short is brilliant, super rich, sound, and highly refreshing whenever he discusses the implementation of his projects. He’s known as “the man who bought Gatwick airport” and his business acumen is world class.
In 2010, Adebayo Ogunlesi, through his company, made international headlines when he led the bid for the acquisition of London’s Gatwick Airport from the British Airports Authority in a recorded £1.51 billion deal. The acquisition instantly propelled Ogunlesi, into the global spotlight and earned him a place in history as the man who acquired London’s second largest international airport.
. When Adebayo, investment mogul acquired the airport, he promised to make Gatwick a truly first class international airport and substantially improve patronage and the customer experience. And He did it!

@Solution of peace How is Nigeria last in Africa. What do you know about Nigeria for you to make such a condescending comment like this. Nigeria is number one in economic output (GDP) in Africa, number one in Africa and number 5 in the world in Agriculture by output, number one in Africa in infrastructural development, number one in entertainment business in Africa, number one in nightlife business in Africa and lots more. I know you will say we don't have power, but the truth is we generate power from private sources more than any country in the whole of Africa. What do you have to say to all of these.

Wherever you flourish is your home. Beautiful soul delivering in an environment of civility. I saw his body language when he was viewing the OGUN state project with Dapo Abiodun, his body speaks volume of disgust at the project but the crooks wouldn’t listen to a man of his calibre because of corruption and lack of commitment to country and the citizens.

If you said you like Nigeria with all these atrocities, may you and your generation be like Nigeria. More over, that man is just one out of millions of Nigeria. Let all of you come n stay in Nigeria then. Some times you argued and said, after all bad things happen even in U.S.A, yes,you might be right, but why can't the good things that are happening in those civilized country happen in Nigeria as well? Good things like uninterrupted power supply, good road, proper health care facilities, qualitative education, rule of law, obedience to court rulings, worker's salary payments etc. Go to that same man's village in Nigeria, you will be amazed on how bad it's.

Nigeria would have been a great country if the likes of Bayo were appreciated and celebrated. Nigeria is a country that devours its citizens and that's why a lot of us are in exile. But it's too little too late now for Nigeria to harness the talents like Bayo's for its own good. I am glad he has a global focus because wealth and knowledge has no color or ethnicity. Bravo Bayo!!!

Emmanuel Okezi Brother, you are so right, which is our greatest test here on earth. Can we be who God put us here to be? Yes we can! But, who will stand up and be the people God put is here to be. We can move mountains If we would only set aside our petty differences. The main thing is to work on us first, the black and brown people. When they see us uniting as one, maybe, just maybe we can show the world who we've been all along. Being who we are, we first need to prove to ourselves who and what we are capable of and what we are here for. The rest is history, tomorrow will definitely be a knew day for us all. Show ourselves as winners like we know we are for us and only theñ will all others follow suite. As black and brown people we must embrace our selves as a worthy race, and the rest is history. This is how we were to be in the beginning, but we didn't make it, but, we are still here and standing strong, while the most High waits for us all to wake up and show the world why we were here from the beginning.

Leroy Thomas Thanks for your response. It has nothing to do with our race but our continued wallowing in uncivilized tendencies, foisted on us subliminally by the cults of intelligence of those who swore never to allow us see the light of day and united.

Nigerians are great people with great minds! This uncle bayo is just one among thousands of minds from my home country Nigeria and of course of Yoruba tribes who were born from cultured and mannered homes translating his training to impact the world. We say it in our native language: omo ti a bi ni ile ire, omo o ni'bi niran. simply means he shows his from well mannered culture and homes who refuses to destroy his home training or backgrounds training. Uncle Bayo,we are proud of you not because you are known to those who matter but because of your adherence to integrity and strength in your chosen career by way displaying the best anyone can be.
