    I’ve been shooting 4K 120 in the S&Q setting. Only 100MB and you set 24p or 30p output. Quality is stunningly good even at the reduced bit rate. Only drawback is no audio. Clearly not an issue in your case. Then to go to normal speed you just speed up the clips accordingly! You need the fast SONY card though. Try it! saves a lot of disc space.

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It’s difficult to achieve that. You could shoot in a LOG profile to increase your dynamic range a bit but it won’t solve the problem. Also could bring a bunch of lights with you but that is impractical. I just deal with it and accept it for the most part.

      @@AdamBrown I use cinematch to adjust exposure. I make sure to overexpose just a little bit. Tell cinematch that you’re shooting in slog3 but don’t tell it to change the the color science. Put your lut after cinematch to change to Rec709. I prefer phantom luts. The exposure slider is essentially the same thing as changing exposure in camera. • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm. Can’t say that I noticed too much of a difference. You may be right though. With 120 fps I’m using higher iso to compensate for the need to use a higher shutter speed at that frame rate so if it is cleaner than 60 fps that would be a good thing.

    • @TheLeeLife
      @TheLeeLife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@InsideRealEstatePhotography Yeah it’s definitely a good thing I used to shoot 60 thinking it would be cleaner from letting more light in etc but I think the 50mps on the 60 is the problem. Hey guys i just picked up the Weebill S and its the business. Will hold any size wide angle lens and super smooth for 60-120fps. Just turn off your cameras built-in stabilizer. Also, be aware of LED lights as I found the high speeds record a lot of strobibg due to the Hz in electricity. I found that at 100fps in the UK - ruined the shot. Have you encountered that Mike?

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes for sure, that's a big problem nowadays with LED lights becoming the norm. The only way I know of to minimize it is to tweak your shutter speed. You'll be off the 180 degree shutter rule but its better than having strobing footage.

    I'm a little confused as to why shoot realestate on a 120fps timeline? I see you export at 24fps, so you're slowing your footage down by 500% in post. But given its real estate that's static by nature, wouldn't you get the same result by filming in 24fps to begin with? Im thinking I must be missing something

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m shooting at 120fps but editing on a 24fps timeline and conforming the footage to 24fps in order to create slow motion. If you film in 24fps and slow it down you want get good results because the extra frames aren’t there so the editing software has to fake it and result isn’t nearly as good.

    My opinion. 4k 120fps seems really dumb. Way too slow of motion. Much worse quality. you have to double the ISO. I've always shot at 60fps, and shoot 1/60ss for interior shots. Keeps the ISO really low and the 1/60ss is more than enough. I'm looking into getting the A7siii so I can shoot 4k60fps at 8bit bc I don't need the crazy flexibility of 10 bit colors. Too much file storage and slows down editing

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree! A7siii has a very clean image, it’s made to handle higher iso. There’s more than one way to go about it. If you prefer 60fps go for it. I shot 60fps for quite awhile now I love the look of the 120fps. Everyone has their own preference and style.

      Thanks! I understand but a lot of time and work go into making these videos. I could just have easily made all these videos a paid course somewhere other than TH-cam that would cost hundreds of dollars. Instead I put everything out for free on TH-cam and the price is you have to watch the occasional commercial (most of which you can skip) so I can get some compensation for all the effort I put in to make these videos. Personally, I think that’s a pretty good deal!
