    I took like an ass backwards approach and bought a steadyview X to have a ground station setup, but then I got tired of needing the screen and wanted to be able to turn my head to move patches so I decided to get goggles. Tried to cheap out on skyzone and got the 04O's. I put the steadyview X in combined with the included receiver and would get all 4 signal strengths in the OSD no matter the mode so long as I did an RSSI calibration for each. I'm still not entirely sure if it's working beyond 2 antenna diversity anyway. But the thing that's confusing me now is that the steadyview receivers are not supposed to support audio output but somehow my goggles DVR is picking up the audio from my microphones. It's just not steady audio and it cuts out completely depending on the signal strength. I was using a separate cheap 5.8 receiver that that has audio out just for that purpose, but am now realizing that somehow I am getting audio in my DVR videos.
    IDK which receiver is giving me the audio but this is probably a reason why some people choose a different receiver when in reality it does actually have audio..

      @@alishanmao no I actually want it, it's just I thought it wasn't even supported so it's a bonus for me. IDK why they advertise it as having no audio.

    After using a bunch of cheap goggles when I started flying Kwads and getting a bit frustrated at not getting better as expected due to fear mainly of crashing or losing another Kwad due to sudden complete signal loss...
    I finally had option to go big on some equipment to see if it really matters or helps piloting in general and can say
    Wow, it does.
    The SKY04Xv2 goggles have made a huge impact on how I fly and feel while flying. No more dread or anxiety going around any tree or line of sight obstacles between me and my Chimera4 Kwad.
    Still crash now and then, but now I see it coming or what happened and no more being cross-eyed for a bit when take goggles off. The Old cheap goggles are for Spectators now.
    No regrets on buying them, but cheaper price would be better now that digital systems are getting bugs worked out.
    OLED image contrast range is amazing and the only way to have a display allow you to see everything.
    Not perfect, Yet, but 👍👍😍 my SKY04Xv2 's

    Nice video!!! I just got the same sky zone, I have a question... can the foxeer module be used with the factory module of the sky at the same time? I have the foxeer and I want to use it with the glasses. Cuz i have the wildfire too but with ev 800d didn't improve my range so maybe with skyzone it do?

    • @alishanmao
      @alishanmao  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Goggles will not improve the range buddy. Wildfire is doing its job as its supposed to do, and outputs the video what it receives to your LCDs or Goggles. If you want good range you can try better antennas and match antennas to your model. use higher db antennas, use patch antenna with mushroom together. to get better diversity.

    Hi, I'm new to RC models. How is the flight information shown (speed, altitude, horizontal situiation, roll, pitch...)? Is it built in or you need additional sensor (third party) inside the model?

    • @alishanmao
      @alishanmao  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      of course those are 3rd party sensors. goggles are like mini TV screen. they will play and show only what they receive.

    • @TGiFoosday
      @TGiFoosday 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually the camera video signal goes into a flight controller(FC) pcb that has a graphics overlay IC chip that takes the data you want displayed from the CPU running the FC. Then video signal is sent to a RF transmitter that broadcast it either as digital or analog for the goggles being used.(Analog systems are cheaper with more products to choose from)
      Drone FC boards have at minimum 6 sensors and up to 10 or more can be included on some.
      3 axsis gyroscope & 3 axsis accelerometer are standard, with 3 axsis compass and a barometer (altitude hold) options widely available.
      GPS and other sensors can be added easily to most FC's that have serial comm port connections available.
      FC's can be used for anything flyable and some can do ground vehicles too.
      Hope this helps you and anyone interested in FPV remote control systems.

    How about if you put 2 Steadyview receivers in the goggles. Will you get 4 signals ?

    • @pdmerritt
      @pdmerritt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what I understand, the headset will use both receivers but it will switch between the two for which has the best signal. If you had one directional antenna pointed forward and one to the rear... You'd probably be able to fly all around yourself with very little signal loss.

      well said. at one time it uses only one module to Video out to OLED Screens. now it depends on the module how fast it can switch to strongest signals with in its diversity (only if its a diversity Video Receiver)
      I find Foxeer wildfire to be faster than Steadyview for switching and it has 72 channels support. it has overall better performance than Steadyview. while steadyview has better performance than previous skyzone goggles Receivers
