There's always something with these bloomin' cars. Glad you're feeling better mate. I had my appendix out when I was very young and it's amazing how long it can take you to recover from it. Better out than in though mate.
@@mastersmodsIts actually quite a big op, mine was quite some time ago and I think they must have used a meat cleaver to make the incision, my scar is still massive all these years on. I had mine out the other day, such fun when they're going well.

I recently bought my 1st ST225 preface lift, I am having boost issues, car only boost till a quarter, have changed the boost solenoid, still no joy, cant hear any leaks, any ideas? Love your videos, all the way from South Africa
@@raycosantana1963 I was using a dreamscience handset and the unit I took out couldn't handle the extra stress put on it with the new map. The forge was a more reliable unit going forward for me

Hi hope you don't mind me msg you on here but I wonted to ask how much u know about boost problems? I filled up at Tesco yesterday as normal then drive home used sports button and it seems to be boosting but lack of power and feels like flat spots???? Very difficult to explain but as I'm driving on boost its feels like it's on off like intermittent??? If u have any ideas or you know anywhere local I could take the car that would be brilliant 😅 this is my 1st turbo car so I'm in the dark tbf. Cheers for you time col
@@mastersmods thx for replying I looked at the pipes that I can see and look ok?? not sure about what sensors to check lol I'm getting good boot over 15 on the clock in the higher gears got no lights on dash and ticks over fine no smoke that I can see. Im not sure we're all boost pipes are but the ones I looked at seemed ok?
@MsColing no problem. Maybe try getting a smoke test, that will show you if there's any vacuum being lost through the smaller places that are harder to see and check. As for sensors, there's 2 boost control ones then the MAF and MAP sensors. There is, as far as I know, a flat spot at 4000 rpm that standard mapped cars have. Don't know why it does but it does lol

@MsColing the boost control ones are around 60, the maf is around 110 and the map is around 40ish I think. Also the smoke test will be around 40 or 50 I think
Just recently baught a focus st225, looking to get the exact same flutter you have when you lift off, what mods am I looking at because as far as I am aware, its not just a group a air filter
@@mastersmods turbo control valve! It’s the part that hangs on the bracket you removed with the valve and this can cause lots of boost problems! I know this video is a year old but yeh
Yeah rear heatshield is massive above the back box, I took mine out cuz 1. I don't have a huge resonator there any more and 2. I bolt holes were all rusted through so was difficult to keep the heatshield in one place

Are you getting that turbo chatter from that valve or are you running a dump valve also?
You get a bit of chatter mate but these cars don't always like dump valves and I wasn't running one

First thing would be to check for a boost leak. After that check sensors

I've got the heat shield rattle coming from the back of my st bit annoying

I found the issue, that jubilee clip had come loose again but I've swapped it out and it's 100% now 👌🏼

Just a cheap £20 ebay one. Probably just a Chinese copy of a forge

Could be a few different thing really. Usually either a boost leak or the boost solenoid needs changing
Been doing it since owning my first st so I just thought that was normal had it remapped yesterday and there’s no more power
