You have nailed it with the video. My turbosmart one arrived today from BDPerformance so got straight on here and found your video first. Don’t need to watch anyone else just use yours. 👍👍👍
By the way, Be VERY careful to make sure the ball end is fully in the allen bolt head when you undo these bolts. You can round them off very easily if you are not careful. Put some pressure into keeping the ball end firmly into the bolt head, and carefully turn and they will break loose. I got all my bolts out going through the U- loop of the brake line. I was on the floor looking up at it from left of the brake disc, using my right hand to push on the end of the hex key/ ratchet to keep it tight into the bolt head, and turning the ratchet with my left hand.
Had mine changed for a Forge version recently, heard it was a bit of a headache to try diy so just let SCC do it. You video makes it look easier than I thought though. 👍🏻
quick tip, before you aim your extension allen key//keys to the ballend allen key bollts that hold the receric valve, its best to use electrical tape around the joint/ joints of the extention allen key joints so they dont fall off when you are fiddling about down there.. as you seen in this vid, one of his extensions dropped off while he was fiddling about!..... great video all the same...

@@mastersmods Fitted the recirc. valve today mate, big thanks to you. I had the most trouble putting the new valve back in as it does not sit snug in the hole, kept falling back out much to my annoyance lol. I ended up using a piece of bicycle gear outer cable to thread through the top left bolt hole on the recirc. valve then push the cable into the bolt hole on the turbo, so locating the valve in the right place so I could get the top right bolt in and snicked up. Once one bolt was in and holding the valve in place it was easy. What a difference it has made to my car. Previous owner mapped it and the turbo just sweeps across the gauge when you put the pedal down. I think it was too much for the standard valve so blew past it. The car has noticeably more boost now and sustains it into the higher revs. I speed tested the car a while ago and could only get 130mph. I think I can get the rest now lol.
