I am one of your viewers who doesn't comment much, if any, but just want to thank you for sharing your creative process and your gentle demeanor. Have had the pleasure of walking on Dartmoor when we visited the UK last summer. A magical place. Have a Merry Christmas.
The t-shirt you wore looked great on you! The mittens for your partner are MAGNIFICENT 😍😍and the rainbow socks you casted on are very beautiful too! I love your podcasts 👌🏻💚
Thank you for another lovely episode. I love to watch you draw, listen to you talking about knitting and books. And now you inspired me to plan to knit a cloak, so I bought the pattern from Maria (Ninja chicken) and now I have to look for yarn. It requires a lot, so I may not find it in my stash.
July is beautiful in Toronto and there are many beautiful places to visit. I would love to meet you and very happy to show you around. How exciting that you are visiting. A big, warm Canadian welcome 🇨🇦
I started making a blanket using all my natural coloured handspun! It's all different size and gauge swatches, both knitted and crocheted! I thought it might annoy me at first but it makes a cool effect. I absolutely love the variety of sheep breeds you use! I'm on a quest to try as many sheep breeds as I can get my hands on... I think my handspun swatch blanket might be very large once I get through even half of them! Swaledale is my favourite so far.
A really pleasant podcast, I really enjoyed your walk with Jack! The scratching you were doing was fascinating! The yarn you dyed is beautiful! Thanks, can't wait to see the finished scratching!
Great to see you again...beautiful scenery, I can understand why you love walking the area. Looking forward to seeing all your new endeavours and following along. Your sweater looks wonderful on you and fits you perfectly.....great color choice as well!
I have just found your podcast. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Now going to play catch-up watching them all. All the very best from up north. (West Cumbria.)
Love every video you make! I love to see you and Jack out on glorious Dartmoor! That river walk looks so beautiful! Your plans for next year sound tremendously exciting!
Thank you for such a lovely podcast Katie. It soothed my soul on such a challenging day for the UK. I dyed my first yarn with lichen recently and my mind was blown by the rich yellow ochre I attained. Isn't nature amazing? Much love, fellow badge wearing lichen fancier Louise x
I had recently frogged my cloak as I was early in the project and changed my mind about the colors to use. So this is very timely and will provide community and incentive to cast on and enjoy the process! So excited to join your knit along 🤗
Oh, I’m so happy that I have the opportunity to meet you next year. Either in Brooklyn or New Hampshire. I’ll just need to travel north or south from Boston. Yay!
Ahhhh the colors of your minis are just fabulous! Makes me want to start dying myself! :) As always I love the footage of your beautiful country, it seems so wide open and no people around! Just wonderful! And thank you for the book-review, I will check it out! I am excited for your upcoming adventures, and wish you lots of fun! Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy New Year 2020, lovely Katie!
Thank you for the book recommendations. I think they will come in handy. I love your hat! Great horns! And Brooklyn General! OMG! I hope I can make it when you are there! Love the knit along. I'll have to see what I can do. I'm currently in the midst of a blanket. :D
Yes, do come to a yarn store here (Toronto) with some of your products! We also have a knitting guild that we could use to let people know of your visit. Arne & Carlos were just here and had a large turnout in a small town. I’m sure there are many knitters here who would like to meet you! 🇨🇦💕
It will be hard to see you on your walks when you're wearing the cloak, you'll blend in so. Keep sweet Jack in his neon green so we'll know where you are. 🤓 And Dartmoor--takes my breath away. Stunning.
Thank you for sharing all the tranquility! Wishing you and Jack and your partner Happy Holidays and a beautiful, loveful, healthy and creative 2020! Greetings out of the Netherlands. Marjan 🌷
Thank you that was an extra lovely walk. Great that you have embraced your Sock mojo. You promised the gift so get cracking it is cold outside and he needs them.

Hi again, missed you and lovely JACK 💕🐶! I’m so very happy for you as 2020 is going to bring you in great places in america ! I hope you will have a nice time in my country , I’m living in Québec city surroundings with my best friend dog also.We just lost my other beloved 14 yrs old furry heart Jack russell (pict) . Seeing Jack is warming my heart so much ; she used to do some of his “touch down and up but” when asked to sit for a treat ! Also when he stopped walking , asking for his treat to move forward during your walk .... so clever boy ! Didn’t bring those treats for nothing ?! It is my fuel ... after Your love , of course! There may have been a little happy dance happening here in NZ when you mentioned the Cornish Fibre Festival! I may get to say hello to you :) I will be well and truly settled in Cornwall by then, and the dates are already in my diary. Really, I am moving to follow my husband.... but... all the yarn and festivals in the UK... what a bonus! :)
Katie & Jack: An advance 'Welcome to Canada'! Please remember Toronto sits on the shores of Lake Ontario and the heat and humidity can be stifling in July. I hope you get a chance to get out to the Ontario countryside and visit some of the lovely markets and yarn shops. Maybe you will get a chance in the US to catch up with Maria of Ninja Chickens too. Looking forward to seeing progress on your drawing and cape. It is cathartic to watch an artist in action. Gail & BlackJack (the kitty) from Calgary, Alberta Canada 😊❤👧
Hello Katie, Another lovely podcast. I would also love to knit the Zelda Mittens for my daughter if you ever thought about publishing the pattern. Have a lovely Christmas. Natasha
oh my gosh! you're visiting Toronto?!?!? how awesome. You must make a visit to the Knitting Loft.... BEST yarn shop in Toronto by far! I'm going to contact them and let them know you're making a visit to toronto.... perhaps you can sell some of your goodies there as well. Us Torontonians would love to meet you. Toronto is a lovely city, you're going to really enjoy it. xoxo
Your sweater is really pretty. I love the mittens you are knitting for your partner. I really enjoy your walks with Jack, who films for you? Your Partner? Jack is so cute in his coat.
Wow, this cloak really IS magical. I am on :-D Heading on to Ravelry right now ..... wonderful podcast dear Katie. Merry Christmas to you and Jack and a gorgeous New Year 2020
P.S. I just ordered my yarn for the cloak :-) Mine is going to be "pine tree needle green" for the main colour. I think the colourwork on the hem will be in brown, beige and grey I might add in a burgundy red though. Haven`t made up my mind about that quiet yet. ;-) This i going to be a wonderful KAL. Such a great idea and I like the fact that it begins on the 21st. That used to be my beloved dads birthday. My dad died in 2001. I loved him so much and he loved nature and walking in the woods also very much. In his younger years he was a mountain climber. So yes, great start for the KAL. I love the name of the cloak as well: The Seer - What a magical project this is, I have to say again. It resonates with me so well. Thank you so much Katie for that. By the way: Lovely mittens - Zelda rocks :-) :-) I adore the rainbow socks as well. They are so YOU! :-D
It was a beautiful moment with you❣️ What a lovely idea to make a kal for Maria's knit, thank you for her😉. I loved your minis , I look forward to see these socks❣️❣️❣️ Oh! And I'm in love with your hat❣️❣️❣️😱 Did you make it? Gros bisous from France 😙💞💞💞💞
Hi Katie. I wonder if you are going to write a pattern for the Legend of Zelda mittens? My daughter love the game so much I'd love to make her some. Another lovely podcast, Jack is a darling!
I don't think I will write the pattern because the image isn't of my own creation, it would not feel right to sell something based on it. However, I might make my charts available as a free download?
Wasn't fully paying attention and then heard "Legend of Zelda" and screeched. oh my god please release said pattern I would buy it!!!! and oh my gosh are those sheikah swatches on your board?(sorry BOTW and knitting are two of my special interests so I freaked a bit) also the pride socks sound fun!!
Haha yes, well spotted - I had to check with my partner but yes, those are sheikah swatches! We were trialling them as a motif for the mittens originally, but settled on the guardian instead :)
So I had never heard of you and I accidentally clicked on your video.... I’m so happy I did. You’re just lovely! ❤️ I deal with agoraphobia and high anxiety so I appreciate what you said ❤️❤️ Here’s to 2020 being the best yet 🥰
Katie that beautiful hat is so you ! ... the cloak sounds wonderful and its given me something to think about... am I right in thinking that the photography you were doing is for the different shades of green you want for clock's colourwork ? ... now I don't celebrate Christmas but I do celebrate the Solstice's .... so to you, your beloved one (whose name escapes me, so sorry) and to the most lovable Jack, ....Bright Blessings to all of you and have a magical Winter Solstice (enjoy a cosy cast-on) ... Warm Regards from Norfolk, England

Do you ever see a Dipper along your river walks?
Love your calm podcast.
Yes we do, not as often as I've seen them up north, but I love their little bobbing dance. One of my favourite birds.

Hi Linda. I bought at at New York Comic Con last autumn, from this talented maker: www.etsy.com/shop/MossFete
I would love the opportunity to win one of your works! Also, I like Maria’s cloak.
Have you thought of wearing a long sleeve shirt under your new sweater? It's lovely.
