    Watch the video to find out the pro's and con's of this camping cot and discover if it will meet your camping cot needs.

    I use the cot every night for almost 3 years as a primary bed and my back loves it with no pad. Ps I have a old back injury and this cot works great for me your mileage may very.

    Just got mine this week too! The red pivot arm worked great for me. I agree about the pack size and weight. I also purchased the Core 6 person tent and it fits well with plenty of room. Enjoy! 🙂

      Thanks for your comment. I've been eyeballing the Core tents, too. Not sure if I want to go that route or the Alaskan Guide tent from Cabelas.

    Have you seen the disco bed cots. Similar in size but pack up nicely. Good investment if you ever take a friend as they can also become a couch for day use. My wife and I have two sets. One kid size and the other 2xl nc I'm a big guy

    Great video, you are helping me narrow down my choices. We have a Nemo Aurora Highrise tent. t has a 90" width so we are go to go for the Teton xxl. Do you know if the pivot arm makes this cot easier to put together?
    Also one thing I did notice as you stretched out on the cot. Was the fact that it swayed back and forth. The motion was from head to foot and back again. The reason I ask is I have lower back issues which cause me to toss and turn at night. Will that be an issue?

    I am having a lot of trouble getting the end rails to fit. I used a hammer handle for leverage but getting the fourth and last one connected is not happening. Pointers? I have the end bars with the grooved sides up. Thanks

    Awesome descriptive video. Thank you. I'm a 300lb. guy at 6' tall and I am always moving and rolling around on my bed at home, so a 40" wide cot would fit the bill. I am sure you did your homework before buying this TETON. Did you consider the EVER ADVANCED Oversized XXL Cot? Almost the same weight and fold out size but folds up to almost half the size of the Teton. The Bed has less play. Just curious if this Ever Advanced was a contender?

    • @hardcorecampinggear
      @hardcorecampinggear  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn't. I'm super-particular and wanted to buy it locally as I've already gone through a couple of different cots that I didn't like. And so for the money, I wanted to try it for a few nights and then be able to take it back locally.

    thanks for the great review. I am a little concerned as I have not purchased the cot yet... I have a gazelle t4 tent and am worried the cot will take too much room inside, is there room for a chair, and small table once the cot is in place.

    • @hardcorecampinggear
      @hardcorecampinggear  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty tight. You might be able to fit a camp chair but definitely not a chair and table. I've since upgraded to the 8-man Cabelas Alaskan Guide tent for this very reason.
      However, I think Gazelle has recently released a six man tent. The only real downside to the Gazelle tents are that they don't pack up small.

      @@hardcorecampinggear Thankyou for the response, I purchased the smaller version the universal.. with the pivot arm.
      Using an ancient wenzel sleeping pad and a new kodiak canvas sleeping bag very comfy... I recently went to Mammoth Lakes in California, and my sleeping bag zipper came apart, my cot was uncomfortable, I was miserable, so it is new cot, and new bag time, the tent worked fine.. good lesson on prepping my gear before I go..

    I am trying to get rid of my current cot as it is insanely noisy when I roll over and it will wake up everyone around me. Does this cot do that also?

      Doesn't seem to. I've spent probably 30+ nights on this cot and honestly-- it's more comfortable than my bed at home. I had to sell it before a cross country move but will be planning to pick up another two + the Teton cot tent once we're settled.

      @@hardcorecampinggear - I tried it for a night as you suggested, got the Teton xxl pad that goes with it and you were right, no problems with my back at all and this is by far the most comfortable cot I have ever sleep on, it’s huge but it will fit in my Kelty 6 man tent with no problems and I should have enough room in my SUV to carry it, if not I will leave some other gear behind because this is definitely going with me lol. @@joevallone7313 Yes the pad did make a big difference, I didn’t have problems with the sagging, there is a slight sag on the sides but not in the middle on mine, I slept very well and I have had 8 spinal fusions & surgeries on both my neck & lower back. I believe they stopped making this pad, I got it for a discount and I don’t see them as being available anymore so I believe Teton might be coming out with a new model.
