I have last years S9 Ultra, and lets be honest, they're both the same. Although I feel like the S9 Ultra will hold up its own since it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Im in med school and the tabs8ultra has been a lifesaver To be exact the samsung notes app along with the great pen on the tab s8 ultra and the fact that I have a samsung phone and computer. Its great size and the keyboard makes it perfect. I don't even use my laptop.
Corning glass is awesome , but id rather wait for the tab s11 w the gen 4 or x elite for gaming. My tab s8 is still good enough . I thjnk the book 4 ultra is a much better purchase for higher level gaming
Not happy about the switch to Dimensity at all. That should only be for the mid range or FE editions. Skipping this year's upgrade. Hopefully the S11 will be back on Snapdragon :( My S8+ continues the journey I suppose.

@@markpolo7 I agree with you that most apps are more optimized for Snapdragon processors, but I don't think those optimizations can compensate for the HW gap. And 99% of users wouldn't root their devices, therefore it's not an issue.
Should've waited to stuff a Snapdragon 8 gen 4 in it. But the biggest problem for me is that they just lack brightness... they should be pumping out 2000 nits sustained at least, but their 'peak' only is a subpar 930 nits - I mean come on, this is the Ultra flagship and the very latest one at that. Maybe they're avoiding potential sooner onset issues of eventual screen-burn and if that be the case then they should just use similar to their impressive quantum dot LED screens as with their Neo QLED TV's; amazing brightness (2K nits for HDR+) and no screen burn. Falling that, then roll-on the Micro-LED resolution! (not mini-LED which is completely different).

Size is totally subjective, but personally, I love larger tablets. They give you more screen real estate for multitasking, watching videos, or just enjoying content.

I have a Tab S8 Ultra. I wouldn't even upgrade to the Tab S9 Ultra, and I sure won't upgrade to the Tab S10 Ultra. It's all the same now, and that to me really shows where Samsung's direction is headed. The mobile division needs some new hires and new ideas, and needs to seriously bring back innovation because their phones, watches, buds, and tabs are all becoming less worthy of upgrades for for those of us owning any of these devices that are two, maybe three generations back. I miss the innovation under DJ Koh. It really says a lot when Samsung's CEO got pissed at TM Roh and the whole mobile division for the launch of the foldables, buds and watches this year because of how bland the upgrades were, and how much they copied from competition, which led to less originality.
There is a SERIOUS lack of YoutTube Videos that focus on APPS on Galaxy Tabs, not native apps, but regular day to day apps like, Social Media, News, Etc. This question arises as I have heard that most of the APPS running on Android tabs are nothing but stretched apps of mobile versions.
Unfortunately it still has a notch. Maybe someday in the future Samsung will replace it with punch hole or put outside frame just like in the laptop meanwhile 11inch line up deleted because there is Samsung tab A9+ 11inch exist!!! 🙂💡
I'll be waiting for the latest vivo flash chip to come, as vivo phones are usually the first to get new flash chips like Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Mediatek Dimensity 9400. Vivo has done a great job, even better than Apple in some aspects. I recommend the vivo X100 Ultra or Pro for their superior video quality, especially for nighttime recording at 4k 60fps, which is way better than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and they are also a bit cheaper.

Samsung needs to put a chipset that will stay flagship for at least a year. I would not have been happy with 8gen3 and samsung has the audacity to put mediatek chip in it. To all those saying qualcomm is asking more money for snapdragon chips. I have one answer. If oneplus can put an 8gen3 in sub $500 tablet. Fans should not defend samsung saying it would cost more. My tab s9 ultra has a 1.5 tb sd in it now and it's working fine. So the expanded sd storage capacity is a moot point

Because dimensity 9300 got 4 X4 and 4 A720. It's a better tablet chip than 8 gen 3.

I have Tab S9 Ultra and I dont think I've ever brought it outside so the Anti-Reflextion isnt a big deal to me

I updated my s8 Ultra last night to 6.1.1. I'm living in hell now. The battery is draining crazy.
Bro everything you said is on the S10+ too. The only difference is the size. I think the ultra is to big.
Size is totally subjective, but personally, I love larger tablets. They give you more screen real estate for multitasking, watching videos, or just enjoying content.

I have a Tab S8 Ultra. I wouldn't even upgrade to the Tab S9 Ultra, and I sure won't upgrade to the Tab S10 Ultra. It's all the same now, and that to me really shows where Samsung's direction is headed. The mobile division needs some new hires and new ideas, and needs to seriously bring back innovation because their phones, watches, buds, and tabs are all becoming less worthy of upgrades for for those of us owning any of these devices that are two, maybe three generations back. I miss the innovation under DJ Koh. It really says a lot when Samsung's CEO got pissed at TM Roh and the whole mobile division for the launch of the foldables, buds and watches this year because of how bland the upgrades were, and how much they copied from competition, which led to less originality.
There is a SERIOUS lack of YoutTube Videos that focus on APPS on Galaxy Tabs, not native apps, but regular day to day apps like, Social Media, News, Etc. This question arises as I have heard that most of the APPS running on Android tabs are nothing but stretched apps of mobile versions.
I'm coming from the Tab8Ultra been waiting for a decent upgrade.
Unfortunately it still has a notch. Maybe someday in the future Samsung will replace it with punch hole or put outside frame just like in the laptop meanwhile 11inch line up deleted because there is Samsung tab A9+ 11inch exist!!! 🙂💡

I'll be waiting for the latest vivo flash chip to come, as vivo phones are usually the first to get new flash chips like Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Mediatek Dimensity 9400. Vivo has done a great job, even better than Apple in some aspects. I recommend the vivo X100 Ultra or Pro for their superior video quality, especially for nighttime recording at 4k 60fps, which is way better than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and they are also a bit cheaper.

@@IBims1Mark Not worth it at all. 9300+ has maybe a bit better performance but isn't as efficient as 8g2 and gets hotter

Samsung needs to put a chipset that will stay flagship for at least a year. I would not have been happy with 8gen3 and samsung has the audacity to put mediatek chip in it.
To all those saying qualcomm is asking more money for snapdragon chips. I have one answer. If oneplus can put an 8gen3 in sub $500 tablet. Fans should not defend samsung saying it would cost more.
Look at iPad 1600 nits display and M4 chip. We wanted snapdragon x elite chip but samsung had audacity to put mediatek. Anyway after upgrading 3 years in a row. I am done with samsung tablets. End of an era. I am done.

The shear audacity to keep almost same price for something worse than previous is just outrageous..
Both definently supports up to 2Tb SD cards like basicly every device since the LG G3 days... Problem is getting them😂 So just ignore those "max storage" SD numbers.

That processor is a dud. Snap drag gen 4 was a missed opportunity on this one. Samsung is taking L's
The fact they don't offer this with 5G or my S8 Ultra that I currently have, they lost my tablet business to Apple with the Ipad Pro with cellular.
They offer it with 5G.
@@arvandvarahram the new S10 ultra? If so that's dope. I'm pretty sure when I bought my S8 Ultra it didn't have that option so I upgraded to the Ipad Pro back in May of the year. Every high end tablet should have a cellular option.
@@TechxGremlin Yes, you can have both S10+ and S10 Ultra with 5G, at least in Germany. Btw., also S8 Ultra was available with 5G.
