Kanon actually tried to imply that the level of pay to win in Lost Arch is acceptable and this game would be ok as long as it doesn't exceed that... holy fucking copium. The gross level of pay to win in LA is one of the main reasons that game dropped off so insanely quickly after launch.
3:40 heavily disagree. if a game forced me to join a guild i wouldn't play it. Bought Elder scrolls but stoppped a month later because you can't use any marketplace if you're not in a guild. Even if i have access to everything, just forcing me to a social action is enough for me to drop any game. There are some games that require you to apply to a guild around the tutorial time, or those that force you to send a friend request. Those also got dropped by me instantly. So no. don't force people to do things in games. The point of games is the freedom to play, not be forced to play.
You better check your facts sir. There's no PK in the open world. There are pvp events that spawns in the open world, outside of the event area you can't PK. Open pvp dungeons you can PK but be prepared to fight tons of people. There's GvGvG on a structured map that does not touch the open world. The pve casuals will be questing in the open world, you can't kill them. If they join a pvp event it's their own fault.

All of this "preview" on the original Kanon video is from very "outdated" material... Like literal launch promo trailers and early betas. At first I have watched some 17 to 40 something progress over Stoopz (sorry if nick mistaken) Who seems to me to be American living person who got somehow Korean Retail access via what is required and VPN out of interest. His stream was (and is) on high end Machine (PC) and the game My Personal impression is that their ~avatars or ~characters are with a bit more realistic sizes and proportion. Meaning they are more humanly and motion captured like moving. I think this is a bit too early for mmorpg . It`s not bad (his female Sword Dagger user looked quite nice in the face department with a default face, I'd say) but for the most part... and in the actually action hasted pace, that BDO characters are made for, BDO characters do look better. The environment might be in the open fields in T&H corner, but still on the early terrains is also quite simplistic looking stuff. That being said... I have also watched some Kanon on Lvl 50 Avatar. The PvP in ~medium sized skirmish like I'd say 10 vs 10 with extra added bonus another 10 of a 3rd party (with singular party size of like 5 or 6 so around 2 parties per side/guild) and if PvP on that scale does not actually appeal to me since it guild and voice coordination. It did still looked as expected. Coordinated and with meaningful actions for the "limited" (at first sight) options... A.k.a. on button press dash initiations, stuns, dmg dealing skills, parries for his also like Stoopz`s Great Sword + Daggers character and all the other jazz of healing and ranged stuffs for healers/mages/archers. But I also watched him and his group do lvl 50 (character wise) PvE dungeon... and the second boss (and final for that dungeon), on an over all I assume low for the game tier dungeon... Was ~Very well animated and had like well... mechanic requirements, with strict timed positioning and coordinated actions across the party members. On top of that of course like actually timing cooldowns per use rather than spam to oblivion. Surprisingly enough that actually does not appeal to me at the moment as well... but I have participated in such stuffs in older game... for one thing Linage II (out of the same NC soft company) and like Tera Online (when it existed)... It did appeal to me back than but after Tera and a bit of Blade and Soul (and one other team based completely different game) BDO came to me as a literal PLS no actual guild enforcing (I have never been in BDO guild)... Even if the Calph ball did imply even further spicing up the Guild Deal with extra viability. But the point here is... T&H does have amazing small party group based PvE... I don`t know how much if at all will be doable as someone participating in guild (Probably as said in the source Kanon video, in this game solo is just not a thing) as a part of a group and if a group can even be formed in some viable way outside of a guild... and than If you are gonna be seeking groups... why not as well just be in one large organized group... such as Guild... It is just ~too much Group for me... but very well done from what I saw never the less. It is totally worth checking out Kanon`s lvl 50 gameplay even if he stated that he will be in Japan these days on non 100% game able laptop ~or something. Outside of that I did like Blue`s commentator video. The source material even if close to 100% accurate is patched up out of too outdated footage in comparison to the live action I have been watching since launch on twitch.tv.
Modern MMOs live and die by the solo stuff. If this game is taking a hard stance against them it will fail. Though I do agree theres no point in playing mmos without the social element
its NCsoft.. i play their games for few years till i coulnd catch ppl paying, they always start slowl with p2w ... then hit so hard giving so much that u pay or leave game (this is pvp heavy so gona hurt), second combat from what i recent see improve but still look dated simple point click 1234 mob dead, change target 1234 etc
Ok, first of all, it's NCsoft, so the game will be hidden behind a paywall, and second, the number of bots will be ridiculous. Anyone who has played a game from NCsoft knows there will be thousands of bots at launch and after that.

LoL....why do people want BDO combat in every new MMO... BDO combat is a cluster hell 1v1. or 1v20 400AP vs 200DP people.. BDO combat is nice yes...but its doing it 24/7 grinding in one spot can be so boring when BDO doesnt have any dungeon crawling or group content aside group pvp.
