Purpaleslushii reacting to Blue Squadren reacting to Purpaleslushii reacting to Blue Squadren incoming 😂 Good video tho man I see your points of view I appreciate where you're coming from
i knew Bully_squadron would start his villain arc at some point xD
I hate that you coined this.
I appreciate you drawing more attention to this issue. It has been frustrating me to no end for years and it's nice to see a lot more people trying to explain why this is really an issue.
So many people think it's about the views. Only short sighted streamers think this is about the views. It's 100% about advertising and sponsor revenue. As this problem continues to grow the advertisers/sponsors will offer less per view due to a bad ROI. This will squeeze everyone from the top down to the bottom. Making people who have worked years to build their channel struggle to get their bag. And will make it feel nearly impossible for new content creators to step into the industry.
I don't know why I typed all this since you basically said it all in your video. Glad to see someone see this for what it actually is.
Fraud.
How did you get out of abyss underwater ?
PA forced me out. They added a new shiny treasure item to collect before I bring it down to the abyss. Shiny! @@neverending5316

ayo good points blue. Keeps me motivated that people see through this
I love these reaction videos blue, keep it up
This is the best Blue arc yet, these are too funny
Saw this live and learned new things about twitch embed etc
Imagine Skou (creator of Garmoth, I might be mistyping his name) puts embed on garmoth, places a small muted square at the nottom of the page... he is first in the category, forever, and there is no way you can move him off it, not you, not Choice, not Bicep, nobody...
nevermind, you mentioned it just after, I commented while watching not at the end, I didn't even know they did that
Ayo! Keep it comin
From a weird standpoint. I dont like using mobile data to stream these when i am simply trying to look at a webpage.
That's also a good point, embedded streams siphon limited data. There's also people who have datacaps, and imagine having his page open and it slowly eating away at your datacaps without you noticing.
very informative video
Heyo! keep em comin lmao
Thanks for the video, Blue. Great response. Hopefully you guys could collab later.
great vid
It's simple, the practice is unethical, but both Twitchs and the people embedding profits from it, so the only incentive for this to stop is for the community to self police.
Thanks for explaining this big dog.
For the algorithm!
I am not harming specific thing. Therefore its fine...*insert pasttime*
this drama isnt new tho, bigger streamers (iirc asmon etc) already said its scummy too and should be against ToS embedding it on the website on every, single, tab/page. its a "legal viewbot" pushing ur stream on twitch site higher etc as blue said too (though i have to say embedding on the MAINPAGE of ur own homepage, or partnerwebsite is fine). imagine Twitter or google embeds a streamer on every tab on their website that streamer would have 1b viewers 24/7. cant even imagine the ad rev. - but ppl tend to ignore the fact that as long they doesnt profit it as much or gets annoying its ok, it only becomes a problem when its too late. just imagine some streamer getting a insane deal with Twitter (just as an example) embedding Asmon's or xqc's stream on their website everywhere, then magically people appear and complain how bad it is. - it would be funny tho if porn sites starts embedding twitch streams xd
Based of the point, that the viewers might not count as actual viewers/it's misleading for the sponsors. Wouldn't the permanent BDO-Twitch Drops indirectly cause the same issue? I don't know the exact numbers and increase of chatters during the drop events, but I sure as hell do not count as an active viewer because I set the stream tab to muted. I would also assume, that those views usually would go to the first 10 or so streams, as they are just further up.
Drop events definitely help the entire category and everyone benefits bottom to top on those. They also require people to navigate to a stream page and have it open muted or not. So you did at least get to see it and have an opportunity to experience content. Furthermore you willingly chose to open the stream and view it which is also good.
@@bluesquadronlive Would be interesting to see the difference in active chatters and/or viewership during those time-frames compared to when there wasn't Twitch Drops. But I do agree, there is a noticeable benefit on both sides compared to the embed issue, and it also brings in some form of traction by having to open the stream in the first place as they could potentially keep it unmuted. I do think a part of the viewers is inactive, but it's a much much smaller amount compared to website embed viewers.
Just to add, this also gives him this little kick to get ahead of similar sized streamers, so he's also cheating his natural growth compared to other smaller streamers.
Another thing is that advertizers started suing youtube for a similar thing, where youtube ads were ran on embedded videos that were muted and autoplaying on different sites which was against the promise that they were selling these ads on: namely that people would consciously be seeing these ads and audio woukd be turned on by default.
If twitch is also selling their ads with these additional promises then twitch is also just breaking the law by not following contractual obligations. So the argument that twitch allows it in their ToS is moot.
Also, there's even laws against similar things such as Article 102 in EU law. You can't use a dominant position in 1 market to gain an advantage in another. It's just unethical.
Hes pretty confused, hopefuly he realises and changes for better. He didnt stop to think if he should , just because he can.
I told him that its no excuse hes not getting mega views just to use the embedd and he responded to my comment on his video saying that he would not remove his embedd once he gets bigger and starts getting more views. So he doubled down on it even....
are purpaleslushii and the homies up to it again
It's not jsut about viewer ship it's also if you link the video BLue talks about money luandering in MMO's ad in Twtich Random Sponorships of off key brands or random Talent agency's When they flood these Viewer's from VPN's/Proxy Servers Virtual Machines Web Viewer devices.
If you have Criminal who wants to launder money and you can fudge your viewer ship and the sponser is"maybe" in cahoots then they dont care they get Kick Back and *Cough, Cough* IRS doesnt really check streamers as much let alone
classic bald man blue bullying people :(
as a sorc player who likes their symmetry with their skill cooldowns, slushii's cds make me slightly mad.
Asmongold called out fextra for this embedded shit too. He called it scummy.
that boi is soft
Fun fact. Embedding isn't against ToS, IF you follow the embedding rules. It has to be a minimum size (Which he isn't reaching). Also it gets worse, the stream is hidden if you view a wiki on mobile. It gets pushed to the bottom of the page.
Did you watch Blue's video at all?
@@NothingnessKing Yes. Did you read past the comma?
people should embed the way its suppose to be, large enough to see the stream and sponsors and it would be fine... people dont embed the correct size and twitch doesnt care. Someone at twitch would have to check every embed and inspect the page to ensure the embed is the correct size... not gonna happen.
Delphe looks like a vampire
I would say he looks like a beautiful Targaryen, but Edward works too
Ok, I now have a far better understanding of where you're coming from and just how much bullshit it is to embed. I was ignorant to the full reprocussions of it until you broke it all down. I completely understand why you get so upset over it.
I think purple is believing blue is doing this for clout and riding off of asmongold talking about fex but asmon was talkin about fex embedding months before it went "viral" n everyone started to real get on them about it but not even that embedding is just as bad as botting regardless. if asmon was talkin about it or not ur doin something wrong. Idk why purple thought embedding was a cool kid thing to do becuz it is not, having a link to your content sure or a blog page but a website where ur not even talking about yourself and having your stream in a small little box off to the side where you can't even see the gameplay is wrong. If you really wanted it and was really passionate about embedding on your website it would be as big as a youtube video in the middle of the page not off to the side like a little secret. It isn't an ecosystem becuz people rnt going to your Twitter or reddit or TH-cam channel. If your making a guide about how to play a role people rnt coming there for u they came there for the guide. The excuses rnt good enough but chase your dreams and follow your passion ig. 🙃
@@Longwittyusername agreed I'm just abit confused y purple is hounding about this when anyone and everyone knows it's bad like this is only bad now since fextra got outed and it's only now a good time to hate on it becuz it gives u clout . His approach should have been uk what I thought it was okay now I realize it isn't even if it's unbelievable to believe that, it's better then just saying I thought it was cool.
i just watched a guy watching another guy.

@@bluesquadronlive Yessir!

It's ya boy wakislosh
Just take it on the chin and move on. Too many ppl today can't take criticism.
It'd only be fraud if the customers aren't getting what they paid.
The customer is the sponsor in this case so yes. The sponsor is paying for views as if they are really getting that level of viewership on the channel. They are not getting that level of visibility.
Blue it's not you bringing light to bdo it's the viewers that spam messages to others streamers in the comments and streams. like you do when you rant. You're unique but the community seems to be creating negative experiences for others rn. Any streamer you make a video on is getting flacked rn. Might want to address this and set a standard for your community. I've seen this before it can create a toxic work experience for you and others with drama 24/7. Your takes and videos are entertaining and you educate at the same time. Just wanted you and the community to understand this.
It's almost impossible to police the behavior of people on the internet. The most he'd be able to do is to say that he doesn't agree with it, but to 'set a standard' is based on the idea that he has some level of authority over his audience, which just isn't true or feasible. If bad actors step far enough out of line, report, block, move on.
true, if you see content creator tell their viewers to eat tidepod and they said that it's good for your health just ignore it and move on.
i agree. logan paul, sam pepper, jake paul & andrew tate (to name a few) did nothing wrong. idk why people hating them. they did small little mistake(s), shame on those people ranting about them. legalize scamming. and praise them! Amen.

@@Longwittyusername Excuse me sir what? I think everyone loved the Quendya tier list. People loved the "what your class says about you" video, double your billion in minutes made him look great, and many more. I know you really want to paint me as a villain, but mainly the only time I go in on videos is when they are spreading gross misinformation about our game that could be harmful to players, particularly new players. Again though, you are more than welcome to have your opinion. Hot take tho.
Well he's not "cheating on his test" since it is not against Twitch tos. It might be a bit "scummy" if you view it that way, but it's not like he did an objectively bad thing by embedding. It's not that deep.
Watching the video is so important. You are so fixated on the ToS that you actually didn't take the time to watch the video. SPONSORS pay you money based on the number of VIEWERS you get on your channel. If that number is not valid because embed viewers aren't actually getting exposure to the advertisement, then it is absolutely disingenuous fraud. The advertiser is then not getting what they paid for and will in turn pay less to creators in the future because they got poor return on their investment with an embedder. It poisons the well for everyone.
@@bluesquadronlive I entirely agree with you on your stance of embeds and how they should be banned from twitch. However, I think it's pretty disingenuous for you to repeatedly say this is fraud when it isn't. He doesn't have sponsors so it isn't fraud, plain and simple. Maybe I just play devil's advocate too much but it seems like you are using inflammatory language (fraud, cheating) to support your point when those words don't actually apply. I would've appreciated your stance more if you said it's a bad practice, that we as a community need to stop for the health of streaming, and we need to call out all content creators doing this, big or small.
Saying that it's similar to catching a student cheating on a test is already misleading. It would be more like if you allowed students to have 1 index card with notes for an exam and then a student uses a 0.2mm pen to be able to write 3 lines of text per line of index card. It's an advantage over those who don't do it but it's within the rules. After all you said it just sounds like you're slandering him (which by definition you are doing).
I know this was clipped from a live stream and I know no one can make a perfect statement live but I just feel like it adds to the drama when all that was said. This wall of text is probably not going to be read and after typing all this I should probably delete it, but oh well. I think your heart is in the right place and you only mean to do good but the "I won't apologize attitude" definitely got my fingers moving. I'm glad it's working out for him though now he's pulling in the most numbers ever.
Stay shiny my bald headed brother.
Why do I feel like you're a family law attorney
I mean my only problem with the whole thing is he literally didn’t commit fraud he didn’t take the number one spot he didn’t do any of those things. You can say all day but if he did get the top stop ect but those are hypotheticals. I feel like it’s unfair to insult someone who followed twitch tos if you have such a problem with it get your followers and anyone else who’s willing to Join and spam twitch complain to the people who allow it it’s scummy to do but I think it’s kinda fucked up to go after a guy with 20 viewers instead of just msging him in chat and explaining the things you just said offer to colab if he removes them some many more civil ways to do it then to which hunt him
Sort of, the problem with messaging them in private is that it is less effective in general for someone to change their view/ways by just 1 person messaging them. Even if it is Blue with his platform, it's unlikely to sway someone. BUT when Blue uses his media to call someone out and that person sees the outcry the community has from his comments or his chat then they are more willing to make concessions.
Now I think purple is 100x better than fextra as of right now, mainly because he doesnt have advertisers, it is his own site and you can PLAINLY see the embed, and he doesnt have crazy traffic on his site. But would things be different if he had a TON of visitors to the site or advertisers offering him money? Who knows, I'd assume not. I really like purple even now though and dont really view him negatively from this. Anyways, just my thoughts on the whole thing.
@@soccersoma I see your point and I agree that it would be less effective but the same way he calls out him we should be actively calling out the platform that allows this kind of fraud
@@benji9390 yeah but blue is trying to clean up the BDO community, Asmongold and those HUGE platforms are already at work calling out Twitch and Fextra. Thus I dont really hold him accountable for calling out the platform. It will take more than enough for him to just call out Awake and Purple. Though Purple changed everything quickly and was super humble about it. Great guy.
It ain’t fraud, the dude just found a way to min-max his gains. Dude is grinding for his money.
Instead of hating on others maybe find something to do to increase your views if that’s what you’re into.
