God calls us to be good stewards of what He's given us. Thrifting is a great way to do that. It's exciting to see what you can find in a thrift store. 😊
I'm with Lacie, I love thrift stores. You can find some awesome treasures at a discounted price. Plus there is so much waste as it is in the world. Reduce, reuse, recycle. 😁 The tent is looking amazing. Can't wait to see the transformation. God bless everyone. ❤
Nice tent! I love thrift stores! Lacey, look at you rockin' that hat, and the colors look great on you! I just made two more with alpaca yarn for two of my daughters. Your family is gorgeous. Sending hugs from BanDana Gramma. ❤
I’m with Lacie, I really like going to thrift stores and flea markets. You never know what you will find. I would love to go to that thrift store you were at. That tent is going to be beautiful when you’re done. Hope y’all had a blessed Christmas. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
A futon was the first “bed” I came to share as a new bride, moving into my husband’s existing home on our wedding day as well! He had just used it in the upright “sofa” position for himself before, and it was touching that he had made a big deal of dropping it down/making it into the bigger bed for “us”, as he got up the morning of our wedding day! It was a horribly stiff mattress, very uncomfortable, but sweet to hold hands as we fell asleep together as newlyweds! Precious memory! Yes! Thrift stores are treasure hunts, often of better quality and style than modern stuff! At times when money was not an issue I walked out of department stores very unimpressed with newer trendy styles then as soon as I walked into a thrift store found what was on my list, exactly what I had in mind when I had set out shopping for a item on the list! Wonderful time with the Lord, guiding the better choices, especially blessing His ministries/stores! Well done!
My husband is just like you he hates going shopping unless it’s by himself, because then he can leave when he wants to 😂 I enjoy Thrifting myself and pilfering through all the goodies because you never know what you’re gonna find. You know what they say another man’s trash is another man’s treasure! I love records, something about vinyl the little scratchy noises. Love the rug! That big round basket would’ve been nice to put blankets and stuff in. My husband does love a good tool find when he’s out Thrifting. I think it’s gonna look really nice when y’all get it done maybe a couple more rugs as well.
LOVE THRIFTING!! Miss my records! Oh the memories lol bean bags or big pillows no huge pillows lol Mike is learning how to really thrift lol You got him hooked Lacy! Tent looks amazing! its like an extra room!
Hello from UK. My family love thrifting., sadly thrift shops hardly exist. Visited America many years ago and we visited some thrift shops and we love it. Enjoyed your podcasts and a subscriber.
We still have a futon in our "guest room" along with a couple of folding cots "just in case" we need extra space for sleeps. When it comes to other items to add to the tent to make it a laid back space, perhaps a couple of hammocks (with stands) would be great for napping or reading books. We had a pair of hammocks in our living room for a while while my children were teens and they loved playing video games and "hiding" in the hammocks. But I agree a large beanbag and a couple smaller ones would be fun, too. An emergency radio (the kind that uses a hand-crank maybe) would be good, also even though the tent is not far from the house.
Records are great too, my daughter who is 19 has a record player that she legit got from "the Thrift Store" 😊 and a really great record collection so far❤
I’m a little of both when it comes to regular stores I’m a get in get what I need and get out. But when it comes to thrift stores or “antique” malls etc I like to take my time and treasure hunt because you can get some amazing deals
Awesome I remember the previous video about the tent. I need to clean our roof then gutters then finally put up the retaining wall…never a dull moment.❤ Thrift stores rock!
LOL! I'll shop with Mike and my husband can shop with Lacey! My sweet man loves to browse all the stores and I'm like Mike, I know what I want, I go in and get it, and back home. :)
My husband is like Mike. In the store, get what he needs and out in a jiffy. I like to look around and I have to pick the item up and look at it, then put it back haha My husband is always so impressed with the things I come home with. The good deals and the amount of things I can get. We are a family of five and the last four years have been pretty wild, so every bit helps. For a while I would thrift and then resell it but I’ve been taking a break since shipping prices are so high. I agree with Lacey, thrifting is such a rush! I’m so very happy for all of you and love your channel, so happy others have made their way over to your channel. Such a blessing you all are. ❤🙏
Not much good on TH-cam this evening so I thought I would share what our family would do in the 1950's. Once a week we would make a produce delivery run to the big city at the end of the run with or pockets stuffed with money the las two stops close together was the thrift store and the bakery. The bakery was to refill the van with failed bake goods that were stuffed into flower bags and sold for animal food. Sometimes they were powdered donuts they weren't good enough for animal food. We had a standing list for the thrift store, things we needed , things we wanted but were too expensive and an allowance for the wow this might work really well for us. As a family enterprise homesteading was a very comfortable life.
I've found much better deals in thrift stores and yard sales than ANY BIG STORE 😂😂 LOVE IT!! Texas Nana Psalm 91 (I have LP'S...45, 78, 33 1/2.....😂 belonged to my grandmother and parents 😂👍 TURNTABLE TOO!😂)
I love thrifting, you never know what you are going to find. I brought a bread machine, and it is still going strong. Must of been a wedding gift made in the 80's still wrapped up never opened, for five dollars and it is a work horse, there were three of them one opened and used two not. Have found 65 dollars shirts with tags still on them. Cost $4.00. I love a thrift store it is like my favorite Haunt. Like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're going to get. Find. I found treasure. It can get addictive though. Better then stores. Peace!
You go with a list of "needs" and some "wants" and some things you get when you see them. Not a predictable inventory just like discount grocery stores. You choose from what they have or not.
I'm with you Lacy I love thrift stores. You fine some great items if you take your time and look. It is so relaxing to me. My husband doesn't like going with me. Maybe y'all can add a storage box outside to put your shoes in. Also some artificial turf outside the door to keep dirt from get tracked in. I pray y'all had a blessed ,and Merry Christmas. 🎄🙏🙏💜💜💜
I would definitely not do any electronics or led lighting in that space. That is such a wonderful tent space to just enjoy peace and quiet. To read a book, work on a puzzle . Lanterns for lighting in the evenings. Warm soft seating chairs or a nice sofa. Baskets for storing pillows and , blankets. Another basket by the door for slippers and a place to put your shoes. A shelf unit of stacking fabric boxes to put clothes in as well. Maybe an area for a butane type stove with a few cook pots, french press and a teapot and kitchen gadgets with a portable sink and place to wash your face, feet as well as brush your teeth. I would go more on the Rustic side than bringing in electronics and lighting especially if it's going to be a sleeping area as well. All those electronic devices will interrupt your sleep cycle.. Maybe a portable potty for night time. I know everyone is into electronics now but going back in time to enjoy life the way our grandparents and great grandparents did is so rewarding and relaxing.
They have these door mats at Lowe's that would be great at the front doorway, just before you go into the tent. It would let you take your shoes off and change into slippers.
I don't really like shopping, but if there is something in particular I am looking for or need, I DO like going to thrift stores and flea markets for things. That said, I have to be in the mood for a treasure hunt. And NEVER do I want my husband to come along because he's too impatient when it comes to that. 😂
I absolutely LOVE going to thrift stores. I feel the same way as Lacey, so many treasures❤
What a great idea guys!!! Yes thrift stores are awesome we are recycling 😀blessings to all family 🙏❤️

God calls us to be good stewards of what He's given us. Thrifting is a great way to do that. It's exciting to see what you can find in a thrift store. 😊
Love thrifting ❤😊
I love thrift stores! So much is unique, even one of a kind.
You're right!
I'm with Lacie, I love thrift stores. You can find some awesome treasures at a discounted price. Plus there is so much waste as it is in the world. Reduce, reuse, recycle. 😁 The tent is looking amazing. Can't wait to see the transformation. God bless everyone. ❤

Going to the store is like Hunting. I prep, I get in, execute, get out. Especially grocery shopping.
Greetings friends...😊

I still have a collection of vinyl - 45's and albums, and I remember listening to a few 78's also.
Consider a boot/shoe tray/rack (or a combo of a rack on a tray...to catch the drips and dirt) just inside the door. 😊
My wife is not fond of thrift stores. I absolutely love going! You never know what you'll find or how much money you can save!
You are correct Mike. We are purpose driven but I still like a thrift shop every now n then. Especially a flea market
Records are great too, my daughter who is 19 has a record player that she legit got from "the Thrift Store" 😊 and a really great record collection so far❤
I rarely shop retail stores, always thrift stores. I’ve found some very useful items for a third of the price.

My hubby enjoys thrifting.
Great video I would love to stay in a tent like that 😊 Thank you for sharing ❤
I like going to a local antique mall here in Concord, Gibson Mill. I’ve only ever bought a few things. But it’s fun to go and browse through.
I am a thrift store shopper too..I love to look for treasures. ❤
Smart shoppers always shop the thrift stores and rummage sales. They have great deals and it’s a fun outing.

Forty five was the records I grew up born, and then they were the big twenties songs on the flip flip side
I'd like to know how it holds up in a windy storm.
I think the tent is going to have a lot of good use.👍

My husband loves the thrift store. Im the tired lady sitting on a bench outside the dressing rooms waiting

I still have some 33's and some 45's. I have 8 track's, some cassettes too.
I love going to thrift stores.

My husband loves to shop, EVERYWHERE...I hate shopping but I go get what I need and get out.
Merry Christmas to your family
You need to have like a drinking station/snacks so when they’re on their downtime, they have something.
You could use white Christmas lights to light up the tent
I would definitely not do any electronics or led lighting in that space. That is such a wonderful tent space to just enjoy peace and quiet. To read a book, work on a puzzle .
