My first (and only) child was born when I was 41. There are challenges, no matter how old we are when we have children. God's timing may be confusing to us, but His timing is perfect! When I was younger I had a really short temper & next to no patience ... by the time God blessed me with my son, He had provided me with lots of opportunities to work through my anger issues more quickly, as well as stretch my patience. The past 15 years have been the most rewarding years of my life -- watching my son grow and mature into the young man he is. God's timing is perfect. Be blessed, friends. 💚🌱💚🌱
I'm 70 now and my grandson is 18 this month. I took him on when he was 2yrs old and although it's very tiring (I was a widow at 49) I must admit I've loved every minute. He is the light of my life and we are the best of friends (although I threaten to put him up for adoption at least once a week! 😉) I always have a house full of teenage boys, who all call me nan, and all my heavy work is done for me. I love my life...lol 😂😂
I nursed my baby till she was two 1/2 years old 😊.. I'm just pleased to see mother's today in USA 🇺🇸 doing this. It's really is the best thing ever for baby health!
This gives me so much joy. I'm currently 34 going on 35 this year and have no children. I'm married, but I have a few health hurdles to overcome first. You have a wonderful family. God bless you all 💛🌻🫂
Awesome job putting the stroller together, Josiah! You're a wonderful helper to your parents, and I adore how sweet you are toward your little brothers! Selah, you 've become a beautiful and very responsible young lady! I love seeing you interact with your baby brother... you're so caring and joyful with him! Micah, you and Hezekiah look so much alike. I hope you continue showing him what a lovable brother you are! Mom and Dad...your children are such blessings! You're doing a great job raising them!
I was 50 when I adopted my special needs son who was 2 weeks old. Now I am 68 and he is 19 and the absolute joy of my life. There were a lot of people who thought I had lost my mind at the time, but I knew it was the right thing to do. He needed the patience that I had learned over many years of living, i needed the challenge of having someone to love and care for. Today, at 19, he is an amazing young man. There are still many things he can't do, but we have chosen to focus on the many things he can do. He is a blessing to everyone who knows him. Yes, it is sometimes more difficult to care for an infant as you get older, but the child is getting an experienced parent.
It,'s such a joy to see Hezekiah as he gets bigger. He's a cute little guy and looks exactly like Micah. And I must say that Selah is a beautiful young lady inside and out. And, the boys are handsome as well. I'm happy to see how the children are interacting with their little brother. The Lord bless you and keep you, and may his light shine upon and give you peace. God bless you all.🎉
My Grandma was born in 1914, she had 14 children, 0 twins. Her first born was like a second mama to younger 2/3 of the bunch! They always respect her. She’s now close to 90, just lost her husband of many years and recently her granddaughter which didn’t make it to 30. Not sure how many heartaches she can take anymore. 🙏🏻
Mike, I had two children but I never thought I’d be watching 5 grandchildren all at once! Good times! Three in diapers at once, Good times is what I had to tell myself and I was in my 40’s then. The best part was naptime. We have a king sized bed and I could align everyone to sleep horizontally and I’d nap perpendicularly at the bottom for 1/2 hr rejuvenating for their awakening
I was 38 when I had my youngest. He was premature weighing 2 lbs. He was alot of work getting him to gain weight and grow. Thankfully I had family to help as I worked full time. My daughter was 15 at the time and helped me immensely doing night feedings so I could get sleep. When my daughter finished her 2nd year of college, my son started kindergarten ! He's now 26 and taller than me ! You'll get through this time ! Your kids are great to help !
My husband and I were in our late fifties when a 3 day old was placed in our home and we eventually adopted her and her 3 siblings from a crack home. She is 20 now going to college and doing well!!! WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!!😊😢
He is gorgeous, and its good that you have so many interesting things (animals and plants) to distract him. It is lovely that the older children are old enough to truly appreciate their baby brother ❤
I was 42 when I had our 8th, and last baby. Those early days were such a mix of utterly (no pun intended 😅) exhausting, and incredibly precious because we knew she’d be our last. Age gives wisdom and I knew to treasure all the fleeting moments even though I have never been more tired in my life. 💞 You gave good teaching about the sanctification of parenting. It’s truly “the toughest job you’ll ever love”. Sorry Marines. 😉
I can see by your expression on your face Mike that when the baby cries and you can't stop him, how heartbreaking that it makes you feel your love is great for yall children. I love to see parents caring for their children. God, keep blessing you and your entire family.
This episode was so comforting and inspiring to me. I love your honesty and transparency while speaking truth and encouragement. People often do not talk about how hard the infancy season is. Full of blessings and precious moments but also very hard. You are doing wondrously with all your children and with your marriage. By the way, I had my son when I was 42 and my husband was 51. We get it!
He looks exactly like his parents. What a sweetie. It's great you let mommy sleep in since she's be awakened for a snack in the middle of the night. Your children and family are precious.
Mike you and Lacey are doing a wonderful job with little Hezzy! I was 34 and my husband (his 1st baby) was 40. It’s some adjusting. But our baby is 25 years old now. The time really does fly! Much love ❤️
We got pregnant at 40 also, a little birthday surprise. He was born in January and we are homesteading too. It's definitely a big change but so worth it. We had to change a few goals like the garden because things don't always go as planned with a newborn/infant but we are getting there. You got this! ❤
Yaaaaasssss!!!! To every single bit of this! I’m out feeding the livestock and pruning the tomatoes when the toddler and baby are asleep. It’s definitely hard being 40 and doing all this, but I know I’m wiser, more patient (hopefully 😬), and definitely more confident! Good job, y’all! And I appreciate showing others how this life can be: dads and moms actually doing life, growing and working together with their kids, rather than everyone going different directions, apart all day every day.
Hello Fit Farmer Family. You're doing an amazing job with the family and the farm. Don't worry about being behind in the garden. I haven't even planted my tomatoes yet. Hezekiah is growing so fast. All of the kids are amazing and awesome. Everything will be fine. Be Blessed. 💞💖💞💖💞
What a beautiful blessing, Mike, to be with your kids throughout the day. I wonder how the world would be if kids had more access to their daddies throughout the day?
Such a beautiful family! That first look, when you put him into the stroller, was so like his brothers! Good work Josiah on assembling the carriage! What a wonderful help all of the young folks are with the baby. You are blessed! Thanks for sharing!
Hezekiah is perfect! All of your children have grown so much! Selah looks all grown up! I had my baby, Jesse, at 36. The dr kept referring to my "advanced maternal age." I finally told him, buddy if I hear those words one more time, we are gonna have a problem! He never did it again. 🤣 God bless you all every day!
I was your age when my last baby was born. He just finished his first year of med school. While teething, I used to give him a stem from a green onion to chew on. He was very happy.
So cute! He already looks like your other kids! They age as fast as we do! 😂 Doesn’t matter how old you are because you have a close family! Everybody’s growing together! ❤
He is growing too fast. My husband and I couldn't have children so we adopted a girl and boy and they each gave us 3 grandchildren and we have 3 great grandchildren. I feel blessed even though I have been widowed twice and my daughter passed on September 9, 2013 at age 47. I live alone and my son lives over 1,000 miles from me.
Greetings from East Texas! Cracked up over you overturning the stroller! I did the SAME thing when my Daughter was about the same age. I went home and cried and CRIED! I felt like such a HORRIBLE Mother 🤣🤣🤣. She didn’t miss a spit bubble 😊
He is growing so fast! By the looks of his hand eating he must be close to teething. My mom was 40 when she had my little brother in 1963. It was quite the scandal back then but not so much now. The energy issue is a real thing though!
Geez, people were getting on us for having our fifth when I was 37. We had our five in six years. We had already raised our neices for six years before that. I will say, the only major things I notice with being on the older end of having babies is that I am tired faster. We also run a 25/7/364 business with three locations in two different cities an hour and a half apart with over 30 employees and growing. We homeschool as well. We can get it all done we just have to keep moving forward!
I have never heard of pruning tomatoes and cucumbers until watching you all do it. I can see the benefits of it though, so thanks for the new thinking on this.
I remember being asleep and my son latched on from his position in my bed. He started walking at 8 months. THANKS for sharing baby Hezekiah is growing fast.
Hezekiah is just the cutest! I had my last baby at 36. My 2nd born was Micah's age and my oldest Josiah's age. I knew how my body felt at 36 and I was like omgh what have I done lol. Both my ex husband and I are the same age and we just celebrated our 2nd and last born's birthday's this month May7th and May 23rd and they're 16 and 22 while our oldest is 27. It truly was like relearning everything so I definitely understand what you mean Mike. Before you know it, all of your beautiful babies will be grown and off doing their own things. You both are looking fantastic though and Lacie, my girl you're just glowing!
Old is gold 💯 if god decided to blessed you with another little one so let it be it, cause not everyone is blessed enough to have that opportunity. You both are an amazing parents, I know parenting in general isn’t easy but those kids will always remember love and how you both raised them. I have 3 kids two boys and a girl and another one due in august. I’m a stayed at home mum now for almost 9 years with our own painting business. My dream of luxury is to owned a home in the country and live the simple life. Love from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Oh he is so precious! Bringing back memories of my youngest, the 5th child, who was born 2 weeks after I turned 36. She was a very large baby, high needs and hated cuddling. It was so hard and sometimes it broke my heart! But she grew up and at 25 is still my precious baby girl. It was a joy watching my older children help with her when she was little. And it's a joy seeing the special bond that they all still have today. Yes, it is worth all the sacrifice and hard work.
Mike and Lacy, enjoy this little one. We had our last at 45 and hubby 50. Yeah your get tired but they are a blessing. Don't forget to go through the list of things that may be bothering Hezekiah. Diaper, hunger, illness, boredom and yes teething. He sure was gnawing on his fingers when trying to crawl. Don't forget growth spurts...which they want to eat more and more often. Careful with the coffee and chocolate Lacy...I found out the hard way with my first, that it can cause colic. I walked the floor for days with an inconsolable baby. I gave up my "addictions" quickly for her benefit and our sleep. LOL God love you all and baby Hezekiah!
I was 41 with my 3 child, knowing my husband was not going to watch r kids grow up. Life has been the hardest thing us but god blessdd me with 3 of the greatest gifts ever. Knowing i was gonna b 50 with a 10 year old was devastating for a while. Im now 61 and waiting to c my husbsnd again! Prayers to u
I’m 57 raising my granddaughter as well. It’s hard being mama and grandma at the same time. Sometimes I have to tell myself to put on that grandma hat and just be grandma for a while. Blessings to you and your granddaughter! 😊
Yall have got this! Im 56 yo and raising two boys 11 and 13 snd now their newborn sister. I am on my second tour of duty of parenthood and its much different then with my okder kids that are in there mid to upper 30s. I have a total of 8 grandkids ages 13 to 6months and 3 like I said live with me but I do get the others from time to time. Last summer I had my 11 ans 13 yo and my youngest daughters 4 ages ranging from 2 to 12 total and let me tell you yes it was a challenge but the memories we made and the fun and learning that we all experienced was amazing. There were days when I prayed more then I ever had bc I was physically and mentally tapped out. The snuggles, laughter and questions got us through. You all are so lucky that you have each other. Doing it solo is challenging and shows you exactly the grit God has given me and the fortitude to push threw when I thought Id loose my mind. The experiences we are sharing is worth every second of the stress. God blesses us with challenges for many reasons and some of those reasons we may never know or they are lessons for the children to experience. Much love and respect to yall. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so so much for doing a video with your SWEET WIFE and BABY. I HAD BEEN WONDERING WHERE YOUR WIFE WAS I MISS SEEING HER IN THE VIDEOS. I was 39 and 41 when I had my two, and I was always busy, and like you guys you don't have time to think about having less energy, you just keep on keeping on!!!💕
Aww he’s as cute as a button! I see a bit of all of you in him! He’s just fussy cuz he’s teething, poor baby. But, I can tell that he’s going to be a happy boy! God bless him and y’all!! ❤️🙏🏼
Have you ever plant yellow tomatoes and yellow wacks green beans. That’s what my dad planted for me. I’m so glad I found you and your family and the Bible guotes. I’m 73 years old
I had my son at 39. Wow what a difference. There was 14 years between them. My daughter didn’t want to help nit was off to March band everyday so no sitter for us. It was harder and we were so tired. Especially with working full time I was exhausted. Daddies don’t get up at night in my experiences so mommies are beat. You two are fantastic parents and doing great with all your kids.
Yes! The hardest job in the world is raising children. But like other challenging times its well worth it ❤ patience is a virtue and like sowing seeds in the garden , it's reaping the rewards ❤. It's harder for men so i applaud you Mike for hanging in there as well as Lacey ❤❤
Doing an awesome job raising and teaching your children. Tell your wife she's got a good husband. Thanks for all the videos. Your children are lucky to have a Christian based lifestyle.
I had my first when I was a teen and my last one at 42. Huge difference physically, but I had so much more patience and more financial stability, so If I could do it over, I would have all of them later in life. Congratulations on such a sweet happy family.

I was 49 with a newborn. I am 65 now, and he is 16. You will survive. LOL
😮
You’re a rockstar!
You got me beat. I was 43 & the hubby was 46. Our baby is 17 now. We are truly blessed to have him.
Same!!!

Momma is a true trooper! Great job Mom!

Yes, I was of "advanced maternal age" with Micah and I guess being pregnant over 40 is "geriatric" lol ~ Lacie
My Son is now 36 years old & he never crawled - he waited just stood up & walked. Oh Salah is just the best medicine ever - he LOVES his Big Sister 🥰🥰
I was your age when my last baby was born. He just finished his first year of med school. While teething, I used to give him a stem from a green onion to chew on. He was very happy.
Thanks for the tip!
He’s such a bundle of cuteness; furthermore, all your children are precious 😊
What scene-stealers the kiddos are! May God bless all of you and protect the family so lovingly cared for! : )
What a precious family you have there enjoy watching you. Oh and I had my last child at 42. The are a Gods sent from heaven.
That was so cool, watching her give the fussy baby her breast, and probably many didn't even notice! Well done! Love you guys! 💗
So cute! He already looks like your other kids! They age as fast as we do! 😂 Doesn’t matter how old you are because you have a close family! Everybody’s growing together! ❤
This gives me hope that I will make it, as I'm still trying to have my first at 40!
It's soo sweet and precious to what your older children interact with the baby makes me smile. ❤
I was 40 and my husband was 47 when our daughter was born. It was amazing.

Congratulations!
I was 42 and my husband was 57 when I had our daughter. God's got ya'll. 💗💗💗

Micah started walking at 8 months.
The little guy is getting so big and strong. I think he looks so much like his youngest brother. So cute.
Tell your daughter she’s starting to look like a young lady and very sweet
Your little one is beautiful and looks just like your older children. They are lovely to watch with him. Lucky little boy❤

HEZEKIAH IS SO HANDSOME AND CRY LOUD. THAT IS GOOD. 40 IS STILL A YOUNG AGE, KEEP GOING
He's such a gorgeous baby boy
My husband's oldest son is 38 and the youngest is 13.. alot of knowledge and patience was was learned between the 2
Yall have got this! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing! I had my 4th at 36 years & she is totally a blessing, as are the other 3! Blessings to all 🤗💜🇨🇦
That smile is to die for
I love y'all and your little farm. Y'all are teaching your kids how to be a blessing in this world.
Thank you so so much for doing a video with your SWEET WIFE and BABY. I HAD BEEN WONDERING WHERE YOUR WIFE WAS I MISS SEEING HER IN THE VIDEOS. I was 39 and 41 when I had my two, and I was always busy, and like you guys you don't have time to think about having less energy, you just keep on keeping on!!!💕
Mike you're a kid at heart.
I don’t think I’m the only one who misses the “greeting friends” at the begin of the video.
I have 3 daughters. My youngest was born just before my 38th Birthday . They are such a blessing :)
Beautiful family!
What I saw of your garden looked wonderful. Glad you have help.
Aww he’s as cute as a button! I see a bit of all of you in him! He’s just fussy cuz he’s teething, poor baby. But, I can tell that he’s going to be a happy boy! God bless him and y’all!! ❤️🙏🏼

💖🌈☀️🕊️🕊️🕊️☀️🌈💖
Baby is adorable ❤
All the kids are so sweet with the baby! He and Mica look so alike! 😊
Mike and Lacey you are blessed. 1 thing I can say some people should not have children when you see first hand of an abusive parent.
We had our daughter when we both were 44. She's 18 now and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I just turned 63.
I had my first when I was a teen and my last one at 42. Huge difference physically, but I had so much more patience and more financial stability, so If I could do it over, I would have all of them later in life. Congratulations on such a sweet happy family.
He's so handesome, all your babies are beautiful too.
You are such a good dad and your children are wonderful and courteous kids I love your family
You got it in you and he is a blessing to have you as a dad at forty. Thank for the joy you bring to us with your family. All blessings.
Well, you wanted another baby so...he is precious!
