I have all the same doctrine except the bleed one, I use block and block recover so it's hard to break their guard. Also works with the other block doctrine. I like the bottom skill tree better also because it deletes infantry units who are trying to break their gaurd, and it works when you use cover commander. Once they are surrounding the player or units, you brace them and they can't do anything. Also great are holding the line because they continously stun attacks.
lol I use them most of T4 era battles with full mastery, but never try advance skill 😂

Ive used to cover commander and die on point trick forever. it works great in normal sieges but your troops disappear too fast for it to matter much during TW.
You should strongly consider the 2.5 cc immunity doc plum. Not only does it get them up off the ground, when pressed it resets their block.
I'm a longsword player that loves the playstyle of these, but my god I need that damn doctrine but rng just won't give it to me.

I wanted to see a showcase of this unit for a long time now, to see what they can do but your choice of doc wasn't what I had in mind myself, the main weakness of this unit is that it doesn't do any dmg especially against high def units you can't kill anything, what I would like to see is a more dmg-focused doc combination to see if it's possible to build this unit in an aggressive manner because what's the point to make them more tanky when you don't play them in a formation ever & have them constantly in cover commander? I would like you to make another video but this time make a doc combination focused on boosting their dmg & see how many kills would you be able to get with them from siege to siege, can you do that please?
It's a defensive unit. It's meant to hold ground while other units do the damage. That's the whole point.
It's a shame that I promoted both Spear Sergs and MAA to Stalwarts and Paladins during the time when that was a thing. Now both are better than their promoted versions, and I don't have either anymore, at least not leveled. I wish the promoted versions had just also gotten a mastery when these did.
Agreed, the biggest slap in the face is when they reverted the promotion change another lvl 1 Stalwart and Paladin showed up in my barracks... they could have just given a units worth of unit kits so players could have recruited which ever unit they didnt have or if they had both used it for kits repairs. Instead I just disbanded both.

If possible, can you make a video analyzing hussar? This unit is coming back strongly, but it is very difficult to choose veterance.

What would happen if you used Stun immune Doctorine for 2.5 sec and then advance into enemy while being in front line?
Imo that would solve the problem of most unit being dazed in very front line not advancing. Could be useful combo in many situations.
put only all defence literally able to tank iron reapers longer. They are probably a favorite unit of shield but They are probably OP if you coop the unit with halbs or IPG.
They are actually as immortal as the ISG with longsword shield
Under rated unit that can do much with the new mastery, only need a suitable hero it will be perfect.

Nice review, but realistically I will never get those doctrines.
the problem is if their damage is so low , why don't you just use spear guard, I still like them anyway, they used to be my top units before season 5
cuz the healing is better with mastery and dmg is more, slightly more versatility
they got nerfed so hard

I prefer the spear Sargents these days, but they must! Be full mastery. Stalwarts have the problem of wearing ass less chaps and get totally destroyed from any angle that isn't the front😂
Fun unit, but doesn't even compare to stalwarts, stalwarts nuke spear sergeants.
Spear sergeants is not a men at arms type of situation. Paladins are trash, meanwhile stalwarts are a solid A+ tier unit.
So no reason to play spear sergeants if you can pick stalwarts.
Did you watch the video? Stalwarts killed 0 sergants while fighting for minute...
Sergants can tank Stalwarts for infinite amount of time.

1)stalwarts didn't attack the sergeants.
2)if you think, this is how you play stalwarts, don't even try to unlock them, waste of time.
3)sergeants get nuked by stalwarts, they are free food for stalwarts.
