I think they are pretty good, but you NEED follow up. Like all shock troopers. I LOVE shock troopers, but it is VERY frustrating when your team just stands there until you and your troops are dead, and THEN go in.
Another great video. Myrmillones, aka Secutores, are my favorite unit. I have to force myself to sometimes leave them out of my warband, but they are typically a staple of mine on offense or defense and they can reasonably nab 100 kills with just that unit (combined with me buffing their attack using my glaive ability). Also, you inadvertently confirmed a theory of mine: EU players have the luxury of playing with low ping. All those responsive inputs look really fun to play with. On NA, we get to wait a few second between certain inputs or they wont work at all, and for all the rest, there is significant delay and teleporting which causes missing attacks, etc. Man I miss non-international siege.
I love myrms so much. They were my first purple season unit and the first purple unit I fully leveled. And they perform, too-just the other day they got me a Deadly Century all by themselves.
If you don't have controlled immunity your literally throwing in a prayer after you have them charge 😆😆 but if you do then there pretty overpowering but keep in mind there a bit squishy
Something with support abilitites like the damage increase from glaive or the healing from longsword and shield(which is super good since Myrmillones already have healing when in formation), is really effective.
I've loved these guys since they came out and they are very strong in the current meta since they wipe maa and ipg (with cc doc). They did fall off heavily in the monk, yolo cav season but im very glad to see that they have a place again
You should try them bottom line they are much more tankier and also get reduced cooldown on charge which I feel is usless bc the immune cc doctorine has a cooldown of 60sec
Great video, I have to say I disagree you saying" not to use as a shield unit" they are both. with there after charge formation it can work very well as a wall. Also I find a lot of success with them using smaller controlled charges then long winded ones. The unit prioritizes getting into the formation after the 2 bashes over everything. So the further you charge them the harder it is for them to get into the formation as they tend to disperse a bit on the charge. Keep it up great vids from you as always.
I will say if you use the charge damage reduce doctrines on men at arms and correctly time and counter charge and put cover commander on perfectly you can be nullified it's absolutely hilarious
WTF I dont see any halberdiers here in the video, did you see them in game? I can only see the sword dudes and then out o nowhere halberdiers appear ? 7:44 Did they teleport?, is so you got really lucky because you where going to miss the sword dudes.
What is the counter of this unit? I'm a returning player and I can't find any good counters that is actually effective. I don't mean to wipe the unit in an instance but something to compete against it. Reapers maybe? I don't know. Can anyone give an imput?
I'm curious - why do you want to replace the block / -60 damage taken doctrine by an offensive doctrine? It seems they already overkill most things, so wouldn't a defensive doctrine that allows more models to stay alive for another charge while beeing pulled out do more? (I think awareness doctrine would be great on them, less damage taken when beeing hit in the back / retreating)

Which is why i go bottom so at least my braindead team has some time to follow up.
yeah and sometimes they dont go into formation beacuse they get cced

i have a movement speed on mine, put a longsword buff as well and these boys ZOOOOOM

Now that we're getting an exclusive skin for their shield is time to use them more often

i love playing them always been a decent unit to use in your mix....
Id replace spear doctrine 3 for the 400 block one
Playing them with out the cc immunity doctrine is a pain, enemy heroes always have cc on standby to interrupt them
Omg you know I love these
15:45 i know you looked as well, and how you are seeing this comment and think "ah, thats what it was"

You got me good there ^^
ahh i got lucky :)
still wondering if these would be good shock troops or not

FORTEBRACCIO!!! Most undervalued unit, not just versus cavalry. Playing them with longsword hero might be needed though.
Sir Plum!
please do a video for Camel .
Cool bros
Will you be continuing the seasonal units challenge now that this season is almost over?
Hey bro, how do you unlucky season units fast? I'm struggling alot to do what it's required thx 💪🏻

Their block when in formation is already buffed so there isn't much point for more block
The unit is ok, but far to reliant on the team being around you. If the charge doesnt hit the mark, they do nothing afterwards.
1v1 win almost everytime, except a few units
Lets be real, the only reason you play DB is so you can make masterpieces of intro's
do you have a discord?
