- A short form video documenting the first time a convoy of Land Rover Freelander 2's has taken on and complete the Machynlleth Horse Shoe (aka "The Bastard") in North wales. This trip was the brain child of All Terrain UK Ambassador Adam Locker who invited myself and a select few from the 'Freelander 2 OffRoad Group' to join in with this epic adventure! It was seriously good fun to get out laning with these guys and to tick off this well known but hard going trail. In reality, as you'll see the going was not as hard as expected but we did enjoy the few challenges the lane threw our way and I do look forward to repeating it again in the near future.

@@JoelSelfOutdoorInstructor Were any of the FL2 stock ( bar tyres)? it's going to be a while before I can get mine lifted but still up for a challenge regardless :)
Yes Martin's is stock height but has home made underbody protection for the fuel tank as well as an older style Mantec front Gaurd (his is the one that gets the big wheel lift in the clip before mine cocking a leg! 👍🚜

I've been there! Think mines had the starter rebuilt twice now and replaced all together twice too! 🙈💸😅 Unfortunately they dont like water!
Starter rebuild kits are readily available online (ebay) about £25 from memory 👍

Start slow, good offroad use of the vehicle might be exploring gravel tracks and beautyspots - no harm in that, nobody needs to drop straight into the deep end! 👍
Watching this and a couple of your other videos I really can’t wait to pick up my fl2 and would really like to possibly join you guys on a day up the plains keep up the great content

Hi @BoraLáOverland the dark grey FL2 was stock height. The others are lifted, yes.

Late watching this one! I've been trying to work out how the Front Runner Slimline rack fits the Freelander, but not had much success. I see one of the team here has a Front Runner rack, any chance they can comment to say how easy/difficult it was to fit. The fitting instructions online seem to need 4 mounting points, but the Freelander only has 3.
