I am currently working as ramp agent here in Japan. I work for JAL. While it's tiring at first, I've got plenty of workmates to be with and the work is kinda fun. Thanks for sharing this video!
Just liked and subscribed i definitely look forward to more about being a ramp agent I've put in 2 applications already and i am eagerly awaiting to hear back
I am planning on being a ramp agent or a baggage handler for Piedmont airlines and the google AI description of a ramp agent is "Ramp agents, also known as fleet service agents or baggage handlers, perform a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth and safe operation of aircraft and ground services" so why does it say I also am a customer service agent and in the preferred section of qualifications, it says "Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider" I am confusion
Training wasn’t hard tbh. You’ll learn how to drive tugs, how to operate the kloader, belt loader and how to load the flights. You’ll catch on quick. And with my company , you can move up to a manager pretty quick id guess, as long as you show you have good work ethic. I don’t plan on staying here tho. Base pay isn’t enough. As for supervisors, leads and managers idk how much they get paid. I hope this answers your question
I just got hired on as a part time ramp agent here in Dallas at American. I just cleared all my background and believe training may start sometime in May possibly. Haven’t heard yet. I am a bit nervous as I’m hoping to do ramp at night, or overnights as I have a full-time day job. What’s the likelihood in having this schedule after training is complete? It isn’t much money so I am surprised they wouldn’t think many would not have another job. They wouldn’t even give a hint really about the schedule after the interview, many were asking as they probably have other jobs too and the role said part time.
it’s likely to get a nightshift position at American. Just talk to them after training. your problem is probably already resolved i’m sorry i responded so late
damnn you probably already started i hope it’s going well if you have. really my advice to you is to just slow down and don’t beat yourself up. you’re a human and you’ll get better at everything you wanna do as long as you keep trying
I will now have a lot more respect for what you guys do as ramp agents in all kinds of weather. Thanks for this very informative video!
thanks so much for the gratitude. glad you liked the video!

Ramp agent for 10 years, best advice for anyone would be don’t work contract companies, find a mainline job.
oh definitely. this isn’t the end goal
@@highinhvnwhat You mean ?
@@christian6455 the end goal isn’t to stay at a contracting company. I definitely wanna go bigger
@highinhvn oh I understand but staying there do help you with your end goals
