we put the chocks on the right rear so you had to go to that side before you left the aircraft. it made sure you were still clear. single point beats the hell out of over-wing.
Danny your 2nd rear plate might be an NYS PC plate or NJ XAA A10-XZZ Z99 in addition to the standard Port Authority Plate. Seen this on a Gategourmet Truck on I-95 NJ Turnpike by Exits 68-69 US-46 and I-80. Licencing it is better to get Class B with X endorsement or Class A with X endorsement. I saw one on a 0:30 gategourmet truck he had a Port Authority plate and a NJ XAA A10-ZZZ Z99 plate 1 month ago on RT-21
After the pandemic when ppl was allowed to go back to work some driver didn’t want to come back so they bumped the salary from the high teens to $26.25-$27. That’s where it’s been since then. Benefits is good not great.
@@DannyLa1980 thanks for giving us specific figures. I don't think the work is all that difficult, but the hoops you have to jump thru to qualify are extensive. In addition to your basic Class A CDL you need a X = hazmat endorsement, as well as a tanker endorsement. A hazmat endorsement is basically a safety clearance that needs to be renewed every five years. Add to that the same thing for the FAA to work in an airport environment and for aircraft access. And finally, you need to pass a test for driving on an airport tarmac. All together, the $30/hr offered at a local airport to work for a global aircraft fueler on Indeed seemed like chicken feed.
Currently getting my CDL but definitely don’t want an OTR job since I’m a father to a newborn. I’m assuming hazmat and tanker endorsements are needed for this type of job?
In various contexts, a "deadman" refers to different mechanisms or devices. One common usage is in the context of a deadman switch, which is a safety feature used in machinery or transportation systems. It's designed to activate when the operator becomes incapacitated or releases control, halting the operation to prevent accidents.
Its like the lever on a gas pump! You hold it down, fuel flows, let go it stops hopefully! Just a hand held version,so you can walk and check gauges, leaks!Hope that helps?@@nowacurmudgeon
Love this video, very detailed on how to fuel aircraft correctly. Good job!!!! 👍🏼

Yes it is. But when I started they allowed me 3 months to get it.
Hey pal-how come you didn't take the ground lead TO THE GROUND STAKE FIRST. Then ground to the aircraft ?
After all those years of doing it that way they discovered you don't need to. It's not required anymore.
@@richstewart1 How did they discover this?
@@davidsmiths5471 Don’t know. Just one day they came in and said we didn’t need to do it anymore. Now it’s just truck to aircraft.
Hey do you know what shifts swissport had at LGA? Do they have 2 or 3 shifts?
I didn’t work for Swissport but I’m assuming it would be the same as Allied. Morning, afternoon, & overnight.
Interesting that you are using a tanker truck to perform the operation when you almost parked on top of a hydrant outlet.
This airport is in the works of laying the pipes in for hydrant.
Do the pilots set how much fuel that will be taken on or do you set the amount?
The final decision as to how much fuel should be carried for a flight is always the responsibility of the Captain of the aircraft.
Why don't you explain how you put that chemtrails stuf on the plane ?
You talking about de-icing?
Is it hard to get a job in that. I'm already a semi driver but what a change
Not at all. Easy to get in. I can help you.
@@DannyLa1980 what do you need to do
Do you have Instagram?

What are the hours like? Is there alot of Overtime?
They got 2 shifts, morning and afternoon. At the moment the company has lose their biggest contract (America Airline). So they had a bunch of layoffs.
@DannyLa1980 Thanks I have a interview with swissport this week for the same position it's at la guardia
Very good instructional video, Elon musk approved

hi is there any vacancy for fueling of aircrafts
They’re always hiring.
@@DannyLa1980 A hazmat/tanker endorsement is worth more than 27 an hour. Not surprising nobody is staying.
