I see people getting out of their cars and approaching moose in Ontario's Algonquin Park and I shake my head. This is a great video and I especially like where you talked about the irresponsibility of the manufacturers promoting their phones as wildlife cameras. While some people are just outright irresponsible, many, like you said, probably just don't know how dangerous it is, and think they're in some sort of petting zoo because it's in a state or national park.

You nailed it. Yep many think because they are slow and do not show much aggression they are harmless. Thanks for watching. I wish more wildlife guys would address this in other videos. It is so frustrating to see young kids being clueless to how bad things can get. Frustrating is an understatement. thanks again !

I see this type stupid behavior as well up here in Alaska with locals and tourists. The problem I think as you pointed to is just lack zoom range and most people when using a camera phone just stay at 1x and feel the need to have to get closer and put everyone at risk. Just today I was on a break from work and went for a walk and only had my iPhone 16 Pro Max with me and attempted to get some good pictures of birds with the 5x zoom and was really disappointed and frustrated with the quality of the pictures that I just ended up deleting them all and cursing myself that I didn't have my R10 or R8 with my RF 100-400 or the RF 800 with me. Cellphone camera quality can produce as good pictures if you use the main 1x camera which is the best camera on my flagships, but you have to be close to your subject otherwise the quality falls apart quickly.
