    What's with Lowes not allowing the other dock to be used??
    That's alot of work having to put it in EXACT SAME dock, when other dock is RIGHT NEXT DOOR !!

    If you left a small gap between your landing gear and the ground the next guy won't be cursing you for leaving the trailer too high to hook. You want your truck's fifth wheel to have to lift the trailer to hook it up. That will prevent high hooking it by accident and release the stress on the landing gear making it easier when your picking up a loaded trailer. After 25+ years of driving I can say it SUCKS trying to raise the landing gear when you have 45000lbs in the box and you have a gap between your trailer and fifth wheel. Give it a try and the next guy might thank you.

    More G&P drivers need to learn about leaving landing gear up a bit and then dropping the bags. I hauled wheel and tire assemblies for CLI in Spring Hill to the GM plant. One night a week we took turns working the drop yard. It sucks crankin a trailer full of tires to drop the gear. And DAMN, half the time they would drop a full trailer along the fence instead of doing the double drop and hook and putting the full trailer where they got the empty from.

      MARC SPENCER every time I go to Michelin in Greenville to pick up a load the trailers are cranked as high as they will go. I don’t know who’s doing it it why, it’s pretty tuff getting it started when it’s fully extended. I always just crank till I first hear the air sound and then stop and pull the 5th wheel. I can see where leaving it slightly above the ground and drop the bags would work especially if the truck is equipped with an automatic kingpin release.

    To save you a few more seconds all you have to do is hook up one air line to release the trailer brakes
