Thank you for a great comparison! I was juggling between these two phones, but decided to go for the s21+ 256gb, for mostly the same reasons that you mentioned in this video. Because of covid-19, I can't go to the store and do a physical test, so I have to trust my visual judgement from TH-cam videos, hope I wasn't wrong! (Getting the phone on Tuesday.)

Can you do a detailed battery test for both the phone like you did with the S20. That will give me an idea about how much improvement the exynos 2100 is
I traded my s10 + in for the s21 + In purple. Great phone and same size as my 10 but I really missed the display and curved screen that I had on my s10+, also the s21+ it was nice and light!. I traded back for the ultra, no regrets except I couldn't keep my color but the phantom silver is dope! I don't think the phone is to heavy being that my s10+ was pretty heavy so I'm used to the weight. Anyway, I have no regrets and I've personally gotten to have both of the phones. In reality it's just a mix of what people want or need/afford. The differences on these phones physically aren't huge at all. Of course the 21+ is the best buy. BTW I traded my s10+ for 800 bucks. So the 21+ would have been 100 bucks over 30 months. Wow right? Well I figured only 400 bucks for the ultra, a phone that is a replica of what I did have and keep it for as long as I've kept all my phones...about 3 years lol. Good luck guys. As someone who has only had 1440p display phones I was concerned scaling down to 1080p as I feared I would be disappointed with the display. I ended up picking up an S21 plus as the price was too good to pass up and I can say I was not disappointed at all with the display. The colors are so vibrant the brightness is great and running at 120hz really is a major upgrade. The only time you can really see the difference in the resolution is when they are side by side and even then it's only really text that looks slightly less sharp. The S21 ultra is amazing but unless you take a ton of photos and need the superior camera I would recommend getting the plus as the ultra is only marginally better and is not worth the upgrade cost for the average person.

Rohit, the Exynos chip also affects the overall image processing and doesn't match Snapdragon's image processing levels. Apart from that, the S21+ is almost the same price as the iPhone 12. Then there's an option for S21 as well, what would you suggest? Shall we wait even more and expect better android devices later in the year?
I am an existing iOS user and switching would be, kind of the exact opposite of yours. :)
Don't go for S21 because of battery. And the difference between exynos and snapdragon is not big this year. Also they both are exynos its just the white balance difference.

Personally, Yes, I do see a difference b/w 1080p Vs 1440p (especially on YT). That’s y I began using my S20+ on 60Hz/1440p earlier this year, so display was one of the main reasons for me to upgrade to the S21ULTRA (& I also love curved displays and I think the flat displays on regular S21s look a bit boring and “not so premium” plus the curves on S21U aren’t so much like we used to get earlier, they have been substantially reduce with the S20 series, so I don’t face accidental touches now).
Then the battery life on S20+ was not good despite having a 4500 mah battery due to Exynos 990 (which was another reason for me to upgrade to the S21 Ultra).
Plus I wanted that longer zoom & macro functionality & minimum 256gb of storage (as Micro SD card has been removed this yr). So I went with the Ultra.
Also don’t forget the trade in deals Samsung is giving: extra 10k trade-in value on purchase of S21ULTRA, but only 5k I believe on the rest of the S21s, and I got 35k for my S10+ (so essentially I paid 71k for the Ultra & also got Active 2 & smart tag free with the pre order offer). All this made S21 Ultra worth it for me, although it is very subjective as u correctly said.

Jokes aside, u got a gr8 deal there on the Ultra bro, if that was the amount u paid for all that, it was a no brainer for sure.
PS: Sadly there’s was pre order offer on Regular S21s, so I couldn’t get the Active 2, it was only with the Ultra (but due to budget constraints, I went with the S21+ & I love it)
See i went with S21 plus because i got it for the price of S21. If i would have traded my S10 i would have gotten s21 plus for 48k. With buds live of course. So it totally depends also that was pre order deals now its different and this video will help people in future.

But maybe I was being greedy idk 😅 But nonetheless enjoying the Ultra, it's a huge upgrade from my S20+ and even from iPhone 12 for sure (especially love the cameras and display). And yes that free Active 2 was a sweet deal (it was one of the main things which actually made me go for the ultra at the 1st place)!
@@_arorarohit_ yes that's true, I already have galaxy buds, airpods pro and sony XB-700Ns so didn’t wanted another set of wireless earphones free with my phone but Active 2 was a thing which I was planning to purchase earlier paying full money (as my galaxy watch is old now). So it's good I got it as a pre-book deal). But u r right, that deals aren't available now and this video will help the people in upcoming time, so your analysis is on point 👍

My main purpose is to shoot my outdoor videos (you may see on my channel) for indoor & outdoor both videos I have to use lapel mic , will its camera work when using lapel mic ? In general when we use lapel mic, phone's camera doesn't work, we have to use 'open camera' application. In that case, we are not able to use phones camera's features.
Do you suggest I should buy S21 ultra in this case?

I still have few doubts reg PPI, for S21 plus it is 394 and 515 for ultra will it make a huge difference. I am asking this because I use my phone regularly to watch movies and also can you tell about macro camera which is not present in s21 plus
you wont notice ppi and i never use macro camera on my phone so cant really comment on that.

Nice analysis! What do you think about the advantage of additional SD memory for Ultra? With higher resolution camera and 4K, 8K recordings (than prev models), the pic and video sizes could be huge! Without SD card, we will end up transferring huge files to our PCs or upload to cloud, etc. to free up phone memory.

I really wanted to go with smaller s21 plus but coming from the note ultra I had to have the s pen. Use it too much at work. Both are phones are great
You are the best. I agree on everything you said here. QHD or FHD there's no difference between them by the eyes. The Ultra just look too thick and too heavy. I bought it but I returned it. I like big lightweight phones than big and heavy phones. The Ultra was actually my choice among them but I just realized that in the long run I'll not like it. And most of all my S20 FE main camera lens actually takes good pictures than the main lens of the Ultra

S21 plus is just a little bit wide but quite slim. S21 ultra is not very wide but its bulky and heavy.

Hii, I have to decide between s 21 plus and s 21 ultra. I have had the opportunity to take a few selfies from ultra and I felt like its coming a bit dark and was quite shocked at that. I have seen some videos regarding s 21 ultra and found that indeed the pics clicked from ultra were little dark as compared to same shot clicked from other devices. Now even you have mentioned in your video that ultra camera is more natural which probably could be the reason for slightly darker pics compared to punchier pics taken from other phones. I presently have an old and sleak s 8 and I still love its camera which is far less natural but I kinda like that. In light of the above, which ph would you suggest me to buy 21 plus or ultra considering that I prefer brighter pics though they may not be too natural. Thanks in advance.

Spot on !! 👍 I compared my op6 size with s21 plus and its only slighly bigger and the regular s21 in 2020 is a compact size phone. I don't think any other android phone manufacturers offers flagship phones in s21's size and grey phantom plastic didn't feel cheap as much I thought.

I got the S21+ exynos last week, it's disappointing to say the least. Coming from the S20+ it's bulkier feeling and the battery isn't much better in my usage. The speakers are much worse with less bass/full sound. I also hate how the video from the camera is pixilated/compressed for some reason especially when zooming in or using the Ultrawide. I also hate how I can't use the flash with the UW anymore and the video in general on the UW is terrible in low light as it's grainy/noisy. Colours are better but that's about it. I'm thinking of switching back or getting the regular S21 and saving myself money. I'm very pissed off as I was expecting much better considering all the good revives the S21 range is receiving.

@@4bros956 S21 ultra is a much better phone. Despite the poor video quality on exynos and other flaws I'd still upgrade.
How does the ultra do when taking photos of fast moving things? Like kids or animals running? I mainly take pictures of my kids and they don’t always sit still.

I have the s20fe. The display colors seem washed out. I put it next to my girlfriend's s21 ultra and my S20FE was a complete joke watching the 4k green 🐍 snake video on YT next to hers.
I went into a t-mobile dealer and put my phone next to the s21+. My colors are very washed out and the picture isn't as sharp while watching that 4k video on TH-cam. I'd say the ultra and s21+ seem almost the identical when comparing to my fe.
Are the demo phones at the store accurate to the ones we actually buy? Is the fan's edition really that bad next to the s21+ and the ultra or is it just my phone?
I hate the infinity displays. I'd much rather have the flat screen on the plus. But will I be happier with the PLUS than with my FE?
