Jeff, you are a wild man! This is what kayak fishing is all about! Watching this is better than going to the movies, plus I learn alot. Thanks for all you do!
Jeff hi at the beginning of this year I’ve been introduced to the fascinating world of bass fishing! Since 2008 I’ve been fishing for trout in the Colorado mountains lakes the most amazing experience and memories I have ever been apart of! I really liked the idea of kayak bass fishing tournaments and starting next year will be fully entered in learning and fishing for bass! Just recently I saw some tournaments in a river and it blew me away following some very popular TH-camrs who love to fish down a river and it looks like so much fun. I saw some tournaments called the kayak adventure series and grew very interested in it and wanting someday to start competing in it as well! Now I’m viewing your TH-cam channel and watching how you engineer, coordinate and work your way successfully through these rivers! You have an amazing body of knowledge how to do it right so I am so excited to keep watching your videos and learn as much as I can. You have amazing experience and I’m going to learn and grasp as much as I can! Thank you Jeff for bringing me this wonderful perspective of bass fishing successfully down a river! Tight lines take care and God bless!
I’m glad that you found the channel. This was the first video I produced. It was a DVD. It’s worth a look. th-cam.com/video/LARxbttUas4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JYhPeqvRJe-fhX5f
@@TheLittleStuff thanks....im a creature of habit with the jig and spinner and your knowledge of the susky has me catching bigger fish without fishing "dead water" lol...thx again your knowledge is priceless
Glad you appreciate my Sharpie artwork and visual teaching! My wife’s eyes are a beautiful brilliant blue. My sons both inherited that and have blue eyes. Mine are “hazel” - a mix of green, blue and a few specs of brown. Other folks have solid brown. I think that these smallmouth have that genetic variation in eye color. Reds and oranges are noticed. What are the other colors we see?
If the motor doesn’t grab, I’ve got two nice big blades on my Werner Ikelos paddle. A solid sweep stroke is part of that. No arm paddling! Use your core. Torso rotate!
Get a longer kill switch leash so that you can get your motor lined up and running at just enough power to keep the boat still or slowly moving forward before you even get in the boat. Jump in with paddle ready and give er hell.
Ugh. It’s just not my thing. My wife has her drone license for agricultural purposes - application of cover crop seeds for example. She does it well with a very big expensive drone, but it still makes her anxious to fly.
I build on Rainshadow blanks: Eternity RX10 for finesse or jig fishing. Judge CB blanks for the power fishing applications. Check out the custom rods playlist.

Thanks Jay. Glad you’re learning!
Does anybody work harder to bring superb content and teach all of us than Jeff? Special thanks!
High Noon
I enjoy it. Thanks for the kind words. More of that is cued up for the next two weeks.
He is the best for sure.
Man the sounds of the night away from everybody and the noise of the city is just amazing
It was quiet there that night. Much better than the tractor trailer parking stop I tried to sleep in up in Wisconsin last month!
Next project for boonedox….. light bars for trucks?? Great video as always Jeff. Your hard work and teachings are greatly appreciated. Safe travels
I just use the NOCQUA lights. Another great NC based business.

Great content !! Thanks for taking us along Nerve wracking watching that turnaround
Thanks mike
If there was better light, you could have seen more of the treachery!
WOW!!! What a workout… Thanks for more great content. Fun to follow along on your trip.
Thanks. It was an adventure!
Unbelievable impressive upstream drag! You're one tough dude, Jeff! Awesome content and info 👊
I love doing all of that. The effort of the adventure makes the experience that much richer. I think that it keeps me young too!
No one carries more gear on their kayak than Jeff! 🙃
I feel like it looks that way because it’s not inside a box.
Luv the channel.. learn so much..
Thanks!
Dig the chapter option, although I always watch the entirety. It will be nice to look for concepts on saved videos.
My buddy Jake encouraged me to do it.
your videos are incredible...keep up the good work...me n my brother are hitting the susky this weekend and all your tips will help im sure
Fish ledges. Focus on whitewater in dominant ledges. You can power fish or finesse, but get on a big dominant ledge.

I love those illustrations! Why do some smallmouths have red eyes and some not?

@@TheLittleStuff makes me wonder if there's any benefit in their environment, one over the other?
Looked like a brook trout
Right on. Thanks for the ID. I had several chase the crank. I think that a bunch got flushed out of the higher gradient tributaries.
The tricky part for me is getting going again, when the water is still moving and shallow. Sometimes it turns me around before I can get going again

Okay coach

Now that's what I needed to hear, thanks
Brook trout
Cool! Thanks for the ID!
A drone would be handy for scouting ahead. Maybe

hey Jeff, what rod blanks are those that you built on? manufacturer, model?!?
