Pearler. Those nest boxes were put up by the locals and their fire brigade after the fires took out so many trees with hollows etc. Gliders love them. You can see their eyes at night and hear them calling at the campground which is pretty cool.

It’s a great campground, well maintained, but there’s something about it that’s not right… then I clicked, it’s maintained by GECO ( Goongerah Environmental Centre ) the same mob that protested against the logging in the Errinundra Plateau. Bit I give them credit for stopping the logging and maintaining the campground.

The old growth forest will be an amazing video, l just love old trees, the shining gum is special, it must have a close knit grain in the wood structure so it doesn't burn, just like satinay trees on Fraser Island. Loved it Krusty. My sort of country for great, quiet camping spots. I imagine the animal noises at night would be interesting. I reckon my little shitbox Corolla could find it's way into there easily enough. Your efforts at a bit of diversification are commendable. It needn't all be Herne Spur's, and Zeka tracks. I've camped at the Goongerah campground, plenty of mozzies and damp wood from memory. I reckon a few prints of some of the fantastic country you visit would be good merch? I'd part with a few bucks no worries. You'll never find places like this without putting some gravel in your travel. Cheers digger. 😀👍

Last time I was camping at a quiet spot in NE Victoria a few groups of 4wd's arrived late and began chainsawing firewood and running generators, then loudly pissing on 'til late.
