Great video of the big island 🤗👍🏻👍🏻 keep them coming..🤗 we have spent 7 wks on the big island, home base is Kona..and we are heading there agin in March for another 4 wks..can’t wait..🤗🤗
Yeah, you’re more in the rainier part of Hawaii there on the big island. I was there in 2023 and It does tend to rain often but it doesn’t rain for a really long time though either thanks for the videos they bring back memories for me when I was there in 23. I was at that farmers market too and it was such a cool place. They had so much fresh fruits vegetables whatever you could think of they had there Hawaii is such a beautiful place to visit. I was there for two weeks. I didn’t wanna leave.
Just returend from spending 5 full days with my daughter on the Big Island and it is big. She was there to really see Volcanoes National Park and star gaxing from top of Mauna Kea. Made three trips around the island with different guides. All our excursions went really well. We stayed north of Kona and the weather almost always great on the west side. My favorites though were on the Hilo rainforest side seeing parts shown in this video. Great trip.
The hairy red fleshy one is called rambutan...similar to lychee. The turles are always there in the shallow part at that park.caremallized banana lumpia...so yummy
You missed the amazing Kehena black sand beach and the Pohoiki Hot spring ponds, both a short drive from Hilo. There is a lot to do in the Volcanoes park as well. No less than 2 weeks if you can afford that much time there!
If you go swimming at that spot it’s best to go on the rise of tide. The water is warmer and a lot cleaner. When the tide goes out the freshwater ponds behind that area drain out too which also puts bacteria in the ocean water.
$10.00 for a coconut!! Did I get that wrong? Was it 2 coconuts, or maybe 3? If it was for 1 coconuts, or even 2, you got taken big time. Hopefully, I got it wrong. I’ve recently (for the merry monarch festival & 7 days afterwards) spent 13 days on the Big Island. I know it can sometimes be expensive, but not to that extreme.
Don’t buy a house. Buy land and build your own home. Definitely go to Argus building supply in Hilo for the most knowledgeable and helpful home building experience. Argus has over 50 years of experience building homes on the big island. Buying local is really important. Where your project is our business.
I give it a 5 on a 10 scale, you missed a lot of the really interesting spots on the east side, ( museums/gourmet restaurants/fine arts galleries/blown glass studios/island grown coffee and chocolate shops/Suisan fish market ) and I can't even believe you didn't go to the Volcano national park to show your viewers some actual flowing lava.
@@AncientEgyptArchitecture thank you for your comments and adding to our list of things to do. We did go to the Volcano National park, we made an entire video on it 😀
@@TeamSauceTravels Ah, very good, I'll check it out. As a 40 year resident I can recommend specific attractions on the east, west, north and south of the island if you come 'round again.
@@MissC310 Shootz....Pahoa has become sorta ghetto over the past few years, and the lava incursions through that area/along the coastline have messed up a lot of sweet little spots/made what remains hard to reach because the roads got covered.
