yeahh brother. In general all of the video series from Leroy are awesome about the mv-1.He shares not only how the device/workflow works but also a lot of music theory & music tech details. You deserve all the best Leroy!
Since saw your video Style mode had become my favorite feature on the MV1. The combinations of arps, scales, chords, styles and variations make this a very powerful feature.
I appreciate the encouragement. I really wish I could spend more time on these, and polish them up a bit. We'll see how things are going with me in a couple of months. If I'm in a stable position, I may be able to devote more time.
@@mrburns366 Yeah, some of the decisions baffle me, but, then, as I mentioned at the end, if you want to use the arp for, say, a kit track, you can put the kit track in one of the melodic tracks. Since the drum tracks only do that rhythmic style stuff, and there are only 16 choices, it seems a bit wasteful... I'd really like to see them add more rhythmic options (there are SOOOOO many arp options). Also, it seems like a missed opportunity to not include rhythmic styles that use the different pads in a kit track, but, then, since we can import clips and midi files, it's kind of a nit-picky little criticism from me. Sure there's a laundry list of things I'd love to see, but at the end of the day there are also a lot of ways to work around a problem.
woww i didn't knew that you can hold down the style button to see the detailed info of each arp style. 😮😮😮 I am so amazed & grateful from day one of your tutorials Leroy!
Holding down the STYLE button is a nice little extra that I don't remember seeing in the manual. I *think* I learned about it from Brian Lamb in Roland's Cloud Academy. I *do* wish pressing the style button didn't stop the arp from playing (the way it worked before 1.8x), but then, that's a minor complaint. Honestly the arpeggios aren't a feature I use all that often anyway (I should use it more, I always have fun playing with that feature 😆).
@@LeRoy3rd Very nice stuff, Let's hope when version 2.0 comes they will include that without the stop of the arp. also i know its kinda off topic and is not so important as feature request ,but if they gonna improve much more the slice execute for sample chopping or if the zen core engine can handle it a live sample chop mode. With all that mv-1 offers it will be game changer... ;)
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement. I have a lot more videos outlined, but my life's a bit complicated at the moment, not sure when I'll be able to record them.
Thanks! I've got many more videos outlined, just having a hard time getting motivated to make them. (Next will be a video on Resampling, then one on vocal takes, then looper tracks... the vocal processor and effects will come after that...)
Best description of style and arps that I’ve seen.

I'm so glad to hear about people enjoying the verselab. I hope to begin making new videos in February. 🙂
@@LeRoy3rd cool
Very informative. I love how you simplify the complexity. A great teacher! Liking forward to watching more of your videos!
Thanks! I've got more planned, but things are a bit too chaotic right now for a rigid schedule.
Excellent video again
Roland need to be paying you bruv

It's really ridiculous that roland doesnt allow arp on ALL TRACKS. That should've been a day one feature!

@@LeRoy3rd awesome
On melodic tracks if you set chord mode On when switch to styles on tone tracks it retain the previous arpeggio.
I'm not understanding exactly what you mean, could you be a bit more specific? 🙂
8:05 since this is the 1.8 firmware update which added undo will that clear that out fast?
En français n'est possible 🎉
Sorry, I don't speak French. 😢 Some days I can barely speak English 😆
