You asked why he used headphone. That because he play accoustic after he recorded an electric one. So he can hear the electric while he recorded the accoustic

Alip is a genius, to be honest, this song expresses the situation and conditions when Alip's father died, where the notes from his acoustic guitar describe the condition of his father still being alive so beautifully and the notes from his electric guitar describe the sad and difficult situation, the notes in describe with screams and cries the very sad condition of Alip and his family at that time...
