The gold pads are probably there to absorb/offset some of the radiation created by the dot projector and ir camera.
They use infrared radiation to create 3d ‘models’ of objects so they (the gold dots) could be there to prevent this from concentrating too much. It could even be to prevent the modules from getting damaged. The dot projectors fail as a result of too much of these waves being reflected back at the module, the module detects the increased presence of the ir waves and ‘kills itself’ as a safety feature as it cannot determine why there is extra radiation being returned. The gold dots would lower the risk of this happening as it absorbs some of the radiation.

I have an iPhone 11 and it has a problem where it randomly shuts off for seemingly no reason and won’t reboot unless plugged in and sometimes will get stuck in a boot loop. It’s done this since the day I got it and I have been dealing with it for over a year now and it gradually happens more often. I was just wondering if you have ever seen anything like it or have any clues as why it would be doing this. Thanks.
Probably the battery. Replace the battery and it should be fine.
