      Sorry! It took a couple months for my neighbor to get the insulation he wanted to use and by that time, I was in a race against weather so I didn’t have time to film it.

      I didn’t. It ended up turning into a situation where I needed to get it done quickly because weather was coming and didn’t have time to film the process.

    Was the base secured to the ground somehow??

      I used pressure treated lumber around the base that was partially backfilled with gravel. Nothing actually anchored.

    Question? When well needs to be worked on, how on earth will that happen? Will have to dismantle the whole structure?

      I put a removable hatch on the roof above the well.

    Nice pump house, I have to build one myself next year. Speaking from experience I would recommend putting tar paper under the tin roofing because it will sweat on the bottom of the roofing and drip on everything and just piss you off.

      I’m going to be putting rigid foam insulation up soon. On the sides as well.

      It’ll be insulated so a heat lamp should cover things as far as our winters go.

    If more people like you would treat thy neighbor like you do there probably would be a home in the country for sale. It’s very rarely anymore to find a great home with great friendly neighbors. Great job..

      Thank you! I got to thinking, when I lived in town, I don’t know that I felt as compelled to help my neighbors. There’s just too many of them!😬 country life makes better neighbors I think.

    Nice stuff man! Quick question... how far is your farthest faucet from your pressure tank? Putting my pressure tank about 120 ft from my farthest faucet, but not sure if pressure will hold?

      Thank you! This is actually my neighbor’s house but on my well, my house is almost 300’ from my pressure tank. No issues with pressure but my tank is also close to 40’ higher in elevation.

    You are good person, with a big heart, the kind of neighbor that most people do not have. God bless. Love your saw mill and that your using timber from a fire. Thousands of board feet of timber burned in ID, Oregon and Calif, durning July/Oct 2021, hope they can salvage some of it. Great video.

      This was my neighbor’s well. All of this was setup after the wildfire and insurance probably covered it. I doubt my neighbor knows what it cost.

      The sawdust is starting to bother my lungs. Almost like allergies. Especially cedar which I’ve heard from several people can cause lung injuries.

    I was watching Nathan from otw the other day and said he uses diesel to lube his blade and keep it pitch free. Just wondering what your thoughts are about blade lube and why. As always good luck and God Bless.

    Jason, I hv a question- I thought wood was not supposed to be in contact with ground. With the amount of rain you get, how is this building going to last? In my area, termites would chomp thru it mighty quick.

      The 4x12 timbers I used as the foundation have been pressure-treated to resist rot and insects. I salvaged them from one of my job sites last year.
