  • Do you want to replace Spark Plugs and Spark Plug wires so you can do an easy DIY tune-up on your 2004 Cadillac Escalade with a 6.0 engine that uses a square block coil? I will show you how much it costs and how easy it is to replace your spark plugs and spark plug wires and some simple tricks and tips you should do. This applies to all 2005 GMC Yukon and 2000 to 2006 GMC, Truck, Yukon, Denali, Suburban, and Tahoe. I've had this vehicle for about three months and it runs perfectly,. About 4 days ago I started to notice when I accelerate it hesitates, the first thing that came to my mind was that the fuel pump may be going out. I could do a fuel pressure test to make sure that it is a fuel pump. But I don't know when the last time this vehicle had a tune-up and wires replaced. So I decided to change the spark plug wires and spark plugs and fuel filter first, just to rule that out. repair pal says the average cost for a 2004 Escalade spark plug replacement and wires is between $250 and $350. Labor costs are estimated between $132 and $167 while parts are priced between $95 and $112. This Estimate does not include taxes and fees. You have a 6.0 engine is going to cost you more. So as you can see you can save some big money if you do it yourself. You can get these parts at Autozone or costless auto parts or on amazon or eBay. So this is a video of how I changed out the spark plugs and spark plug wires. But I'm 90% sure it's probably going to be the fuel pump or system. So stay tuned for the next video.

Thanks for the video. Helped me on my 2005 Cadillac Escalade. That Number 1 got easier when I moved the bracket holding the red box saying battery. I could get my hand in the area easier to tighten the spark plug.

Hi. You said your plugs were in good shape. Was your issue the need for a tune-up? Or did you find your problem was something else?

Well it was running a little rough but i always do a tune up on all my vehicles when i first get them. Then i know when and how and what plugs are in there. i wont have a tune-up problem for a long time.

I couldn't even get the boot off my spark plugs it seemed to be seized or melted on don't look to me any tips for me getting the boot off the spark plug. I twisted trying to pull diagonally did it win the engine was warm and I tried to pull him off when it was cool. Keep in mind this is the rubber boot.😅 What a pain, I just wanted to inspect a couple of the spark plugs, vehicle seems to be having a hard start every once in awhile.
