- Good quality knives make the outdoorsman's tasks much easier because they take a good edge, and keep it longer than most other knives. Check out some stag handle knives from my collection, and compare them to yours.
A subject near and dear to my heart. That's a beautiful collection of knives you have there. Thank you for sharing .
That is an impressive collection of outdoorsman's knives.
OOH NOW YA TALKIN'!!!
Love me a big Crown Stag
Me too!😊
Wow beautiful collection you have 👍
Wow I fell in love with the one you made. I really like everything about it from the way you shaped the blade to the way the Damascus was layered. Heck of a job!!!!
Me too man. I'd never use that thing. I'd just show it to my buddies.
Thanks for the comments. I just suddenly had the urge to tinker with the materials I had on hand, and that knife was the end result.
@@CumberlandOutdoorsman well it came out really nice good darn job
Wow, beautiful collection!! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Nice collection of stag. I do love my Case knives, and the New York Knife Company stag sheath knives that every Boy Scout in NY owned back in the day. I forget who picked up the BSA knife but we all had one, I believe they were sold in the BSA stores all over the USA.
Twin brothers of different mothers . Love to shoot , hunt , fish ; and collect knives . The majority of mine are US made Camillus drop point lockbacks . Also Winchester , Remington , Schrade , Buck , Puma , Boker , Eye Brand , along with many German knives that used Solingen steel . Buy once , cry once . Makes me wonder why we buy "quality" knives that will last a lifetime , but are always looking for another . I too have a handmade bowie type Ohio Buck antler hunting knife . It has field dressed and cleaned numerous deer for the past 50 years , (and 1 finger tip) but still is sharp as a razor . Keep up the GR8 work ! Love watching your videos late at night when I can't sleep .
I remember in the 50s & 60s you would go into a hardware store, the sporting goods section of a department store, auto parts shop, and some gas stations and there would be a good size display stand with a glass front and the person there would open the back of the display and it would be fui of boxed
Knives to get the one yup decided on. They might be Case, Buck, Shrade, Puma, or some other brand. Was always my favorite & first place to go to see if there was anything new. Loved those days. Like your collection. Mine is not quite as large, but I do have alItalian automatic and some military. Keep up the good work. You are one of my favorite channels. Thank You Sir.
Another interest of mine. I recently laid out about 200 knives I had accumulated over the years and let my son pick out those he wanted to add to his collection. I have a blade that I’ve had for close to 50 years that came from a piece of factory machinery that was used to cut textile products. I always thought it would make a great blade to fashion a custom made knife. Now you’ve got me thinking about that blade that I haven’t thought about in years. Now made be the time to follow through on that project.
Beautiful! Thx for sharing!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Knives Sir and the 1 u made is a WINNER

Great knife collection you got some beautiful looking knives there and also did you Har est the little rack you showed in the video and keep up the good work on your videos I am glad that I found your videos love to watch them really entertaining
The Roe-Buck rack was something I picked up years ago. I think it was a deer from Germany.
Great collection!
Beautiful knives!
Here in Lawrence County we have a small herd of Axis deer running loose. Look on my page and i have a video i took a couple years ago when i came across a heard of around 7, feeding along a back road. I was able to video 2 of em that hung around a bit after the rest of the herd ran into the woods! They've been running around for several years now. I think a few guys have taken some during hunting season but they seem to be breeding and holding on. Ive heard tale of 12-15 head seen at a time.
Thanks for that bit of info. I watched your video and those are certainly not whitetails. They are indeed axis deer, and seem to be doing well.
@@CumberlandOutdoorsman they are. I also believe that even the doe have antlers, if I'm not mistaken. They're definitely a beautiful animal! I love the spots. I'm not sure how I'd respond if one walked under my stand, to be honest. I know they are considered "invasive" but they don't seem to be effecting the native deer at all and I kinda like knowing they're around. If the population were to start to explode or something, I most definitely would take one. Since it seems to be a small pocket of 12-15 head, I'd prob just watch and let em pass. Like I did in the video. I had a rifle in the truck and being invasive, I could have legally taken one but I just enjoyed watching them.
Enjoyed the video
Another awesome video Mr CO !!!! I’ve made 3 knives myself using deer antler for handles. I actually made a couple from blanks made in Sweden by Morakniv ordered on line. Pretty decent blades. Thanks for sharing and take care !!!!! 😁🇺🇸😁🇺🇸😁🇺🇸
What type of sharping steel are you using? Great vid!
NICE!!!
That last one you never said what it was... Buck-Mark I'm assuming??
I think the one you are referring to is actually a German made knife.
What type of sharpening steel you use?
Good question. The steel I use in the video was actually made from an old shock absorber strut.
Never mind found the answer futher down in the comments.
Beautiful knife collection. I have several myself.
