Why Tata Motors is not sending it's Flagship SUVs Harrier and Safari because the Fiat based engine Kyrotec 2.0L Turbocharge Engine ,the oil fiter is just at the point of ABC Pedals Panel(ABC- Acceleration, Brake and clutch pedal) If it crash to NCAP barrier the oil fiter may exposes to the toes and feet of the dummy on driver side which led to serve injury to leg section and cause to bring 4 star
Wait there is solution for this:
Tata Motors has announced the 1.5L GDI Petrol engine in Auto Expo 23 and soon launch of it in later quater of this year will make to sent to NCAP crash test without fears of 4 stars

The reason behind safari and harrier not being tested in global ncap is 2.0L diesel engine from fiat and placement of its coolant tank. Both these cars will be tested the next day when tata decides to launch the petrol variants.

No doubt tata cars are safe. I've heard the reason tata not testing harrier/safari is the engine. All cars with the same engine are not tested in India. Reason being the engine designed for left hand drive cars and when used in right hand drive cars could cause pedal intrusion inside the cabin due to some part of the engine hitting those. My source is from talking cars. Otherwise the tata twins will easily score 5 stars. May be the new models have some re engineering done. The same engined lhd jeep compass scores 5 stars in euro ncap.
