Where I live in South Carolina, the schools started back this week. They are starting a modified year round schedule. We homeschool and haven’t started back yet. Don’t plan to for a while yet. But bc the schools are in session, I feel behind. But I’m not!! We are savoring summertime! ❤ Thanks for the video!

I use rubber band balls! Can be kept in the kitchen drawer (much neater than piles). Bands work as clips for resealable bags that don't reseal, in pantry and freezer, and for opening tight jar lids

JanSports are totally worth the price. I paid $20 for mine when I was 14 or 15 years old that was 22 years ago and I'm still using it - no tears or anything! Nowadays, it's my go-to carry on when I travel.

It’s going to be a great day with Kim and her fun shenanigans! Clothes shopping and school supply shopping was something I looked forward to, not only with my 2 sons, but also with my grandson. He will be starting his senior year in high school, and I can’t believe it. My Nana heart is so happy but emotional. Last night was pretty special because his parents and my husband and I surprised our grandson with a new car to start his final year in high school. He was so excited and grateful. Seeing him drive off left a lump in my throat. He’s such an amazing young man, and we’re so proud of him. Enjoy every minute with your sweet kids, because with a blink of an eye, they’ll be all grown up. Thank you for always putting an extra happy in my day, and pep in my step. And my son turned 35 in May. And this really brought me back. It’s funny the things you don’t even think about anymore, but you see a video and it’s sucks your right back. Picking all the stuff. Backpacks and notebooks and all the accoutrements. And it really did give a sense of new beginnings. A clean slate. You could be anything THIS year you wanted. I cannot hardly wait to get my Magic Candle scents. I got the assortment of 10 and the Tiki diffuser. I hope you went back on their and signed up for an affiliate link. You’re talking about it again today. And so many people are shopping now because of you. I realize the 10% isn’t going ro make you rich, but just think, it’ll pay for a new pair of shoes for one of the kids, or a tank of gas. This was really fun to watch. Yesss! My now adult kids LOVED the Book It! Program! And Pizza Hut was very different then, a popular treat, esp w Book It! Now I have revealed how OG I am( well, yeah, I am 68). My oldest grandchild starts kindergarten soon( big school, as he calls it) so I am seeing my daughter with the first “ big school” Back to School season and a three year old preschool student. I so miss school shopping for my boys!! I was in Walmart the other day and noticed in every aisle of the school supplies were 'older' people, like the Grandparents that were buying their grandkids their school supplies for the year.... and I though to myself "I guess that will be me in about 6 years" 😆
Sadly, many of the grandparents you see school shopping are raising their grandchildren for whatever reason. Been there, and believe me, teaching middle school subjects are stressful. I've forgotten more than I've learned by now.

I, on the other hand wanted to stop, look, touch & feel, step back and look again and then say something like "I just can't decide! Can we come back to this section and let me think about it?" And lunch boxes ... don't even get me started!!! I'm about to be 60 years old next month and I have a collection of the old metal lunchboxes! I probably have 100+. PS - My mom still doesn't get it ... she's always asking why I have all of them - "They're just more crap you have to dust!" Lol - I truly love my mom!!! We are SOOOO alike in most things but .... Cannot recommend Contigo kids water bottles enough. Some of ours are over 2 years old and they get used almost every day. Still working. Never gets moldy, easy to clean. Fit our cup holders. I fill them at night and my kids grab them from the fridge in the morning, they stay cold a few hours just around the house and if we’re going out somewhere we add ice and it stays cold a few hours that way. GREAT GREAT GREAT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Just get some. 😂
As the only leftie in my family, there were never any left handed scissors at home. I learnt to use right handed scissors. They forced me to use left handed scissors at school and I couldn’t use them!! I use right handed scissors now because they simply don’t sell them anywhere!! ✂️

I find I get angry about back-to-school supplies. It’s totally gimmicky crap the market/manufacturers create and make us feel we have to buy all these things for our kids. C’mon, do our kids really need all this crap? Mine our grown now, but we were a one income family, and needing to fulfill the “ lists” the teachers sent home was very difficult for us. It often made us feel pressured to buy stuff we couldn’t really afford… and there are many families out there like us., and it’s hard on your kid if they don’t have the “ cool” crap and set them apart from their peers. How do we stop this madness?

We start school in September in Upstate NY. I love back to school supplies and could not wait for it all to come out. I just picked up the last of his supplies and am almost done with clothes shopping as well. 9 going on 16 with his tastes lol. Thanks for letting us "shop" with you.

When I was in High School about 20plus years ago. They made us have mesh backpacks so could see through!
Cannot recommend Contigo kids water bottles enough. Some of ours are over 2 years old and they get used almost every day. Still working. Never gets moldy, easy to clean. Fit our cup holders. I fill them at night and my kids grab them from the fridge in the morning, they stay cold a few hours just around the house and if we’re going out somewhere we add ice and it stays cold a few hours that way. GREAT GREAT GREAT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Just get some. 😂

As the only leftie in my family, there were never any left handed scissors at home. I learnt to use right handed scissors. They forced me to use left handed scissors at school and I couldn’t use them!! I use right handed scissors now because they simply don’t sell them anywhere!! ✂️

I find I get angry about back-to-school supplies. It’s totally gimmicky crap the market/manufacturers create and make us feel we have to buy all these things for our kids. C’mon, do our kids really need all this crap? Mine our grown now, but we were a one income family, and needing to fulfill the “ lists” the teachers sent home was very difficult for us. It often made us feel pressured to buy stuff we couldn’t really afford… and there are many families out there like us., and it’s hard on your kid if they don’t have the “ cool” crap and set them apart from their peers. How do we stop this madness?
