newbie question, but if they're only allowed to carry 2 spare tires per car, do they run mixed tire sets in case of rain?
They can for sure and have in the past. I think they have to get the go ahead from the weather crew if they do.
They usually, X-cross the tyres.

@@John_Wood_ you couldnt be more wrong, legal limit for road is 1.6mm however not certain about the rules in croatia. but these tyres are designed as such and a compound that are perfectly safe for road use, they can also be cut in service area, add grooves or re groove. nothing wrong with the tyres here for road use. they also have to ahete to all speed limits and traffic laws on road sections

@@John_Wood_ again i re itterate, these tyres have tread left and they are designed as such in order to be able to regroove them. theres is no mesh or wires visible here. ive been in the rallying business for decades from working for a hire company, navigating myself on events and would say im married into the highest level of rallying
