FrancescRuiz the plant has been here since super Mario bros. Waluigi only exists as a side character of a side character.
Kayden 21 pirhana plant is a generic enemy, waluigi represents all the spinoffs, of which we have no representation in smash.
1ts2EZ piranha plant is a rep for all the random Mario enemies that very iconic.
I like how in Luigi’s Mansion 3 references this game’s art style.

Mario Strikers Charged is one of my favourite games of all time - it gave the characters so much personality, and is the reason for Waluigi and Daisy being my favourite characters in the Mario universe.
I don't think we'll see one again - I don't think it fits with Nintendo's current vision of the Mario series, but the sheer hype if they ever announced a new one would be off the scale.
Maybe they can try to change things up a little and have more intense games like these in the future.
Dude I have SUCH memories of RAGING at this game...
I recall finding that, if the opponent skill was set to Superstar, the team would actually have the potential to gain to an even higher skill than Legend if you were beating them like 5 to 0... The coding of this game was honestly infuriating... I can't tell if it was just my underdeveloped young mind, but the game FUCKED with me like no other game had ever managed to achieve...

Well we have a new Mario Strikers now. So I guess Nintendo does see it as important somewhat.
These two games have a really edgy early 2000's vibe and I adore it.
Oh my god the nostalgia! I played this series as a kid, the Wii one is simply awesome. They aren't perfect, but they are soooo cool. As an incredibly avid football fan, this is way more fun than fifa.

Its ridiculous how competitive this game could get, my friend and I just recently picked up an old gamecube and found all of the old games for it. We spent playing back to back matches for at least 5 hours straight. Some of the craziest clutch moments and heartbreaking shutouts from each of us. This game is really a gem

@@FigureFarter Yeah, but that was in the Wii era. Nowadays, Mario is being forced to be generic and basically be the same friendly nature it usually is, and to remain as generic as possible. This affects spinoff series, and prevents them from having their own unique image rather than being forced to scream "DUUUUUUR! New. Super Mario Bros." Just look at the older Mario Parties and compare them to the newer ones. It's pretty clear what the difference is.
Then again, Luigi's Mansion 3 managed to set it's own unique image. If Luigi were replaced by a non-Mario character, it wouldn't be a Mario game. And Mansion 3 was made by the same developers as Mario Strikers. So, we'll have to wait and see.

More great things about Strikers Charged:
- You get to boot your least favourite character into an electric fence.
- The revamped super strike system. Up to 6 goals!
- Waluigu's goal celebration where he chucks the ball at a random opponent's face.
- When it was functional, online was surprisingly solid.
- You can literally leap over or teleport past the goalie as certain characters, though it takes time to set it up so it can be prevented.
Don't forget Luigi's theme
No doubt about it, this is the most underrated mario game ever
I put thousands of hours into this series, and only JUST realized Bowser was a new addition to Charged.
This is the edgiest Super Mario game ever, AND I LOVE IT.

I loved this, the only thing I could say is on the first Mario Strikers the AI was godlike on one team and literally unresponsive on the other and would give you free goals.
