Fun facts I have learned from this about barbie Barbie is 61 years old She had more than 200 careers Ken is 50 years old.. They dated for 43 years They never got married She has 17 dogs and 5 cats She has 3 ponies and 12 horses Her full name is Barbie Millicent Roberts (This isn’t in the video but in some of the barbie movies it features her aunt Millicent) her sisters: Kelly, Shelly, Chelsea, Kristine, Anastasia, and Skipper; and Barbie's twin siblings, named Tutti and Todd. her parents' names are given as George and Margaret Roberts from the fictional town of Willows, Wisconsin. .
I think parents project more onto a doll than we did as children, especially when it comes to body image. On one hand, I do think we should think about how all media influences children, but from my experience most of the influence comes from the parents within the home. Also, it depends on how you are treated by others. If you are bullied by people for looking "ugly", you will seek an ideal in ANY entity. The original barbie life in the dream house is comedy gold. Change my mind. There's technically a new one on Netflix, but they aren't even dolls in it and the house isn't even pink!

I think the important thing with Barbies is that parents remind their kids that Barbie is a doll and that real people look better as they are I knew and was told when I was little that Barbie is super thin, not in an annoying way just brought up occasionally in a friendly way
I used to play with the doll back when I was still 7 years old but I never liked them they just made me think that, that's how a girl should look like and I just hated it so I stuck with playing with my brother and his trucks although I did love playing with her hair tho not gonna lie
I’m a fan of Barbie and always but sometime I’m scared of her but sometime not Barbie was just nice and kind but sometime people hate her I know it bc or the pink but her personality is nice and kind
i only got 2 barbie dolls in my life. for the first one, i cut her hair and clothes then i took off her limbs then threw it in the recycling bin. for the other one, I cut hair, clothes and face, melted her body, cut her limbs off, then threw it away too. after that I never got another one.
I have never had body probs and I've been playing with barbie till 3-12 I'm 14 bro still no body problems, and I still play dolls with my sister , and even my sister does not have proplems. So .. that is not true.
Im 12 and I LOVE barbies I don’t see anything wrong with them. I also LOVE the curvy Barbie body. the dolls are SO FREAKING PRETTY!!!! I have like 4 curvy ones, over 20 regular barbie body molds i really want a couple tall ones and a couple petite ones. I don’t see anything wrong with the barbies. How is the makeup over sexualized tho?
im here in 2021 and they have started making "chubbier" barbies, but the thing is, they dont make clothes for them. so if you but one, then they have to wear the same outfit over and over again, or else they'll be naked ;-; i play with barbies still, ive never had body image problems too. but i think that they should make "chubbier" barbie CLOTHES, because if you want the doll it will need more clothes in my opinion
I have more than 999million barbies 👁👄👁 but now I don't like them anymore, more likely got SCARED. I have a friend that is 3 years old she is scared of barbies when she sees them
Lol Barbie didn't make me have bad body image she inspired me to follow my dreams as a kid and helped me get through my child hood abuse and my parents break up 😂
Barbie is just a doll. I think if parents reminded their kids that and if anything high light her ambition and good heartedness(I know some do, not saying that don't.)kids wouldn't have as much body issues. I loved barbies as a kid and I don't care about being thick or have "not perfect" skin. I just don't want to be out of shape or have painful pus sacks on me anymore.
I grew up with Barbies, still love them, I never had body image issues, I never paid attention to her body, I mean she would end up bald, with lose limbs, and naked so what's the point
A few of mine ended up decapitated or tattooed with a pen (to this day, I still don't know why 7 year old me thought giving one of my dolls a heart shaped forehead tattoo was a good idea).
Haha i used to love barbies, then my self esteem went 📉 because of them 🤠 Edit: I’ve seen so many comments about how barbie is a fashion doll so imma give my opinion on it. I of course, have nothing wrong with Barbie its self its an amazing doll but as a person who grew up with anxiety from a young age and probably depression at at least 6 years old (That may not be true as i just over time have been getting more and more symptoms for depression but I haven’t stated yet that i have/had it before in case I don’t have it.) it just didn’t help me because i was already anxious about how i looked since i was being called ugly at school, but another thing is, barbie used to be super detailed, like detailing on clothes etc, now its just printed designs for the outfits that aren’t even 3D, though one of their newest barbies aren’t like that and that’s amazing, so in conclusion i have nothing against barbie and the fact the doll was made slim to fit in smaller clothes, those are just my small problems with it!
What about The animated dream house?! Barbies closet Goes to The beach and The Amazon rainforest the animated house is probably around $1,641,593-$1,284,145 without closet and with probs around $2,596,803-$2,175,631
Oh god precisely all of this dumb observations is what had made Mattel feel like they’re stepping on eggshells and design al their dull new dulls that constantly end up on clearance. What a human must lack in its life to pay so much attention to a TOY people 🙄🤦♀️

Just because someone doesn’t want to get married it doesn’t mean that they don’t want to be together. Someone might not want to proper because they don’t feel like the relationship is right but if that’s the case then they should break up. And women can propose, too, you know
Bro- *When you realise the barbie doll house you used to play with, with your friend at her house was an original* (Consider the fact that me and her are still only 12-)
like da first ones? i have the 2015 one- so i guess mine is a bit more newer!
@@Sunnybunny_roblox no maybe not THE first one, maybe in between the 70's and 80's-
@@Sunnybunny_roblox I have the 2015 one as well. I remember getting it for Christmas 2015 when I was 9 years old. I can't believe I've had it for almost 6 years.
The begging of the video: your probably saving for your dreamhouse now!
me a kid: Does begging your mom for robux count?
The original barbie life in the dream house is comedy gold.
Change my mind.
There's technically a new one on Netflix, but they aren't even dolls in it and the house isn't even pink!
My mom: hey we gotta talk
Me: ok?
My mom: if barbie was real she couldn't hold up her head.
Me: um why?
not a single person:
.SHES TO SKINNY FOR PETES SAKE
Imagine dating someone for 43 years just to split up then they want to get back together just because. Like you are too afraid of committment and I don't have time to wait for you to get ready for me. And if you wanted to date someone with less careers than GO FUDGING DATE RAQUEL!!!!!
I think the important thing with Barbies is that parents remind their kids that Barbie is a doll and that real people look better as they are
I knew and was told when I was little that Barbie is super thin, not in an annoying way just brought up occasionally in a friendly way
Barbie 1959 kind of looks like Betty Boop
those dolls with the acne, and streack marks are so cringy
Yea lol 😂
Let's face it, Barbie is the face of PERFECTION, who can and be anything. Which is IMPOSSIBLE.
8:49 ihave that house
I used to play with the doll back when I was still 7 years old but I never liked them they just made me think that, that's how a girl should look like and I just hated it so I stuck with playing with my brother and his trucks although I did love playing with her hair tho not gonna lie
I’m a fan of Barbie and always but sometime I’m scared of her but sometime not Barbie was just nice and kind but sometime people hate her I know it bc or the pink but her personality is nice and kind
Omg girl look up barbie dark side and then message about what do you think about it because it shocked me
i only got 2 barbie dolls in my life.
for the first one, i cut her hair and clothes then i took off her limbs then threw it in the recycling bin.
for the other one, I cut hair, clothes and face, melted her body, cut her limbs off, then threw it away too.
after that I never got another one.
Just so u know the quote is “Barbie u can be anything” not” Barbie u can have one dream and one job for life”
Every kid: **plays with barbies normally**
Me: **rips heads off and cuts hair then installs head back and drowns barbie**
OMG I do the same thing
But then I ruin her face LOL😂
Do people forget teenagers exist?
More importantly, do people realize that us teens are still children and that most of us still like "childish" things like trick or treating?
I have never had body probs and I've been playing with barbie till 3-12 I'm 14 bro still no body problems, and I still play dolls with my sister , and even my sister does not have proplems. So .. that is not true.
Im 12 and I LOVE barbies I don’t see anything wrong with them. I also LOVE the curvy Barbie body. the dolls are SO FREAKING PRETTY!!!! I have like 4 curvy ones, over 20 regular barbie body molds i really want a couple tall ones and a couple petite ones. I don’t see anything wrong with the barbies. How is the makeup over sexualized tho?
why are ya'll talking like the doll is an actual living person-
im here in 2021 and they have started making "chubbier" barbies, but the thing is, they dont make clothes for them. so if you but one, then they have to wear the same outfit over and over again, or else they'll be naked ;-; i play with barbies still, ive never had body image problems too. but i think that they should make "chubbier" barbie CLOTHES, because if you want the doll it will need more clothes in my opinion
I have more than 999million barbies 👁👄👁 but now I don't like them anymore, more likely got SCARED. I have a friend that is 3 years old she is scared of barbies when she sees them
Lmao my moms name is barbara and all my aunts and uncles call her barbie, and she hates it (because of the doll) 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, I never had a dream house but I did have the diamond castle and it was amazing
The mannequin of real-life barbie is creepy. Also, they said she would have to crawl to walk. Imagine that monster.
I grew up with Barbies, still love them, I never had body image issues, I never paid attention to her body, I mean she would end up bald, with lose limbs, and naked so what's the point
I agree
A few of mine ended up decapitated or tattooed with a pen (to this day, I still don't know why 7 year old me thought giving one of my dolls a heart shaped forehead tattoo was a good idea).
I LITTERALLY ALMOST CRIED BECAUSE I JUST LEARNED THE FACT THAT THERE ARE BARBIES DOLLS IS ACNE LIKE ME 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
16 to 18? Nah. The average American women is 5 to 11. Where do they get these numbers?
My mom showed me her old barbie dolls and they look so much different than mine.
Do you like them better or hate them because they are so different?
If Barbie cant hold a job,she must have inherited a fortune. How could she afford such luxurious?
So umMM- Dont call me weird but I never got a barbie doll when I was little-
Haha i used to love barbies, then my self esteem went 📉 because of them 🤠
Edit: I’ve seen so many comments about how barbie is a fashion doll so imma give my opinion on it.
Love this thanks subscribed
Imagine going down the stairs but say, “_turn the staircase into a slide_” and WeEeEeEEeeee
Hey Ken. Put a ring on it already!
If it’s not her then find Steve and put a ring on that! I happen to know he’s crazy about you!
Wendy Brooks ??????
Who t f is Steve?
Barbie had a dog named Tanner who poops. No, really.
