This game is so badass it hurt man, i buy this game in the ps3 haha, i can't live without this game, graphics doesn't matter, the gameplay is what it make it awesome!
When I was an adolescent and discovered thrash and speed metal, it was surprising to then replay TM2 and realize how *heavy* it is. It has a lot of balls.
One of the best games I ever played. Oh, the good old times, when all I needed to care about was getting good grades, driking soda and playing games. God, I played TM2 so much...
@@perfectcell4492 Thus man decided to pool his resources adn take back the land, and make the ultra Man Cave Temple, where men go to play games, tehy build the cities nda power the systems, why not build, the CONATHON. the TEmple to 90's games... most games were badass for many reasons, most had very free artists, and some made good money that were not captured like prince, but its not about money but its about money.. today art is less than steller in most things... its like forgetting to live. So much nostalgia for this soundtrack! So much of Twisted Metal 2 still sticks with me to this day; the badass music the just-as-badass characters (that wacky clown bastard Sweet Tooth in particular) the secret levels to play with my friends the wacky background secrets for the levels (like blowing up the Hollywood sign, or seeing the Statue of Liberty in a bikini) the iconic sounds of each character (Warthog and Axel stick out in my mind the most, despite the fact I almost never played Warthog, and I only played as Axel for one campaign) the way Calypso twisted nearly every competitor's words and screwed them over in the end the wicked howl of my Soul Shadow (primarily drove shadow) and that droning whistle that told you a Ghost Missile was homing in on you... Good times...
I had a night security job at the local mall back when the PS1 was new. I'd pop in game CDs to listen to the soundtracks over the mall's PA. This and the first two Wipeout games I played all night while "working".
Absolutely epic! Frère Jacques mixed with Jacques Offenbach's "Galop Infernal" mixed with heavy metal guitars, sirens and screams. They really outdid themselves with that one! Kudos to the composers!
My way to defeat him (without cheats) was just to hide in one of those 2 buildings that were side by side, because he never entered them and you could just shoot him through the doorway.
On Amazonia, did anyone, when they reached Minion, head for that temple with the 2 destructible entrances, even when playing with a friend, throw everything at it to open it up, then hide inside like a little wuss, firing fire and homing rockets, and ricochets out at him til he was dead? xD That's what me and my friend did, so we could save lives for Antarctica and Field of Screams :P
Yes! I did the same thing, hide inside the pyramid and shoot freeze from time to time, and shoot special, napalm and all i got until Minion was dead. I couldnt face him outside, i tried it a few times but i couldnt beat him toe to toe.
I remember having found this secret platform, if you headed up north (from what i remember) and go into the lava, a fair distance from the coast, and just jumped up you'd land on an invisible platform which made you safe from the lava and just waited for everyone to kill each other while eating lunch. Then hid into the temple for Minion :D
there was an iceburg in antartica that wouldnt ever fall and it was a portall close to the edge when u got to it u could back against the wall on it and ppl would come through the portal then u hit em with richochet they fly right off the edge it was a garanteed easy win in it
Nah the most recent game absolutely wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as good as the rest. Hard to top perfection. Divisive game but it’s just fine on its own.
When I was a kid and played this game,I didnt paid much attention to the music, and was more concentrated on a gameplay.Only now I realize how wonderful and cool it was.
Hidden powers were great, so much fun with mines in VS mode; Napalm, back napalm, shield, jump, freeze... Played it a lot with my sister in HS, hell... we even got mad and angry with eachother...
The Twisted Metal series, and the Vigilante 8 series are both good! But man, Twisted Metal 2 for me. It was a memorable game. Always loved it. A fucking masterpiece!
*21:00** lol that open field level music. It's's crazy I haven't played this game literally in 20 years and I remember what levels all these tracks belonged to.*

Twisted Metal Fans: U forgot what Twisted Metal was? Sony: Oh yeah that’s right, Throws out copies of Fortnite 2 everyone. Twisted Metal Fans: This isn’t Twisted Metal? Sony: Yes it is. It created the “battle royale genre”. Twisted Metal Fans: Storms the Sony headquarters and finds Sweet Tooth in a small cage saying Sorry boys n girls, I’m 2 scary for these kids of today.
Buzid it was an incredibly mature well put together soundtrack. It's evolution from hair metal anthems, to classical orchestra was fucking brilliant, as the later levels get more intense, notably Antarctica being the climax of the soundtrack. It's fucking brilliant sound design. My biggest gripe is finding fucking credits to the soundtrack, I literally find no traces of a soundtrack credit anywhere
Twisted Metal 2. As batalhas, as caçadas, as fugas. As correrias para achar uma sobrevida, os sons da aproximação do oponente, e também de suas armas disparadas. Trilha sonora perfeita, somente de obras-primas. Jogaço emocionante. Super divertido. Inesquecível.
New York City's theme is just so fucking epic.....it's like some symphonic doom metal Also does anyone remember Timesplitters 1? Since I think the song for Hong Kong was used for that game I think unless Crystal Dynamics got the composers for this games soundtrack...which could be a possibility
Yukari Hideki very true. I know I’d personally be way more interested in PUBG if I was playing as the grim reaper in a motorcycle firing flaming souls out of my side-car.
Fire Walk would drive me absolutely fucking insane every god damn time. Falling the lava by accident and dying trying to escape Minion's OP burst of missiles and shit.
God I played this for hours when I was in elementary. Just played it for a few hours seconds ago and the game is still addicting! >:D Music never gets old too!
i think suicide slide was actually the first song that got me into metal. It was so different than the rest..and i dunno what the hell that voice is screeching in between the music but i understood every word it said and it was right. I must metal.
Just hearing the beginning of New York City is so fucking dark like some DOOM metal meshing in some symphonic metal too.. fuckin love that song as well as Antarctica and Los Angeles... those are the 3 that still stay with me to this day Maybe Holland if I didn’t remember it more from Jet Moto 2? Or was it Jet Moto 1? I can’t remember
Discovering that the game disc doubled as a music disc was magical
Loads did on the ps1
Exactly! And I drove around listening to it! 😁 Along with quite a few other PS1 classics
And I never knew this….
I love the mix of heavy metal, guns, cars and blood. I miss badass games like this.
amen brother
This game is so badass it hurt man, i buy this game in the ps3 haha, i can't live without this game, graphics doesn't matter, the gameplay is what it make it awesome!
bruhhh right?
@@carlosdcf8268 I am going to buy it for Christmas this year 2023 and play it. :) That and TM1!! Oh and maybe Vigilante 8!!
One of the best split screen multiplayer games ever made.
those times when i was listening to metal without knowing it was metal haha, i love this game :)

This game was badass. The soundtrack, the gameplay, and everything else just awesome. My favorite off the soundtrack is Los Angeles.
Man, so nostalgic. Golden years for me...
Love the Clown's laugh in the beginning, so sick.
I remember the clown and heavy metal all my life from when I was a kid
the first song was stuck in my head for 20% of my childhood
Wingnut Mcspazatron It will forever be stuck in my head, along with the glorious sound of my Omni Taser.
+Wingnut Mcspazatron I think this is why I grew up to like metal music.
+MrBarelylethal dude you get me lol
Hahaha dude me too!!
Whenever I bust out of traffic to hit open road... in my mind...
Still waiting for Twisted Metal to make its way to PS4. Hell, I would be fine with an HD remaster of 1 and 2
The Superior Spider-Mew it’s been 2 years to late

Joe Barbieri
Oh god, those tense moments when you hear the rumbling and watch the blue flashing on the very glacier you're driving on! ;_;
UNlocking Minion and destroying everything without god mode!
Don't forget running over all the pedestrians 😂

My favorite still has to be the Paris level theme. The whole song sounds like the crescendo you hear on French ambulances.
Absolutely epic! Frère Jacques mixed with Jacques Offenbach's "Galop Infernal" mixed with heavy metal guitars, sirens and screams. They really outdid themselves with that one! Kudos to the composers!
The sound design team put a lot of care into their design.
This game is great indeed, much time spent playing it. One of the best games on ps1. Those times.. those games..
R.I.P. SingleTrac studios
nothing will ever compare to what they achieved back then in the 90s :c
Those 6 dislikes ran into minion without cheats ^.^

Very fun, exciting and adrenaline fueled soundtrack, I love it! Thank you very much for the upload!
Quake zone rumble was the best song for a video game ever made! Paris' farajaka song was pretty sick too
Frère Jacque
Twisted Metal 2 was the best of the series
Now it’s on PlayStation Plus Classics!
Let's hope they add whole series 🙏.
Mi vicio de la infancia :-)
This game definitely needs a come back. I know they f'd up on the most recent attempt of a release, but I know it can be done!
