I was partying at a buddies house when the pilot episode of Metalocalypse came on. When the stage missed its target and landed on the fans, then opened up crushing more of the fans I laughed my ass off, Then the single most metal coffee jingle I ever heard assaulted my ears and I was an instant fan.
Honestly I completely wrote off metalocolypse as a kid cause I thought it was gonna be a stupid bullshit show ... Goddamn was I wrong and missed so much good music my favorite moment isn't even from the original series if I remember correctly but it will always be toki auditioning and surprising everyone in the band that he can keep up with skquizgarr (I can't fuckin spell it lol) even murder face was surprised

I always love the way the chords are in all of Dethklok's songs. Brendon Small is ridiculously talented. He could've easily just stuck to the most basic progressions but he poured all of his skills into truly making the best, most beautifully brutal music to grace the human (and piscine) ear.
This song is one of my most favorites outside of deth-harmonic just because the cords are all so smooth and beautiful I still today can’t stop listening to any of their music and now I get to hopefully see them twice this year at blue ridge and their tour
The sad part, is that in brendon's later career he started to fall into this trap pretty badly. Musically it would be very apparent, but lyrically he was trying hard to stay true to what he was known for/good at.
the Greatest thing about Dethklok, is that despite not being a real life band, the music is legitimately among the greatest Deth Metal that has ever been recorded. So epic.

So damned good. You could always sense Brendon's love of music in how he wove it into the series Home Movies via the headbanger character. With Metalocalypse he achieved an outlet for both of his passions. Incredibly, it is a great show and great music. Small's guitar style makes for awesome metal. When the albums started releasing and the Metalocalypse tours began you couldn't help but to be happy to see such a gifted person get to truly live their dream. The fact that this is being posted now is, in the immortal words of Nathan Explosion... "Metal"
