I like the way Mick managed to put down her daft questions without being rude. But the fact is, Dylan would never have made it as a singer if he didn't happen to be the world's greatest living songwriter.
Yeah exactly. His diction and phrasing. It's almost more akin to what is seen as desirable in hip hop. I mean you hear an album like Blonde on Blonde and it's all about how it's said and spoken
Bob Dylan’s voice is not perfect but It’s raw. His earlier voice was calming and mellow but now It’s raw beauty that projects his powerful lyrics. He’s a smart jackass, He’s a gifted talented human and his personality is one of a kind. We’ll never get someone like Bob Dylan ever again.

We saw Dylan with his young red hot band in San Diego. We had 2nd row dead center seats. I couldn't understand a word he said but he and his group brought the house down. He was laughing and smiling all night. Good guy.

It’s not “bad”, it’s just unique. Lady is really all over the place and I feel like it’s more Mick asking her questions haha
Neil Youngs voice is thin and reedy but his songs are exquisite and his voice makes them more memorable and beautiful than a perfect voice would - imo.
Mick is a really cool and sophisticated person and personality. I met him twice, and each time he proved to be the perfect gentleman and manager. He actually knows what he‘s doing and he respects what others do, too.
Very often these “interviews” are not interviews at all, they are just a series of rhetorical questions. It is like watching a lawyer question a witness. The questions are not serious questions at all. The questions are designed to be statements.
I love that bit when she says, "your 59 now" and he says, "how old are you". Mick has a great personality, is cheeky, and very witty. I confess, I am a little bit in love with him
You just answered your own question. It's really hard to have a hot and contentious argument, between two people, when obviously, they're both right. The last time I saw Mick Jagger and The Stones live, was over 20 years ago. Mick was both glorious (skilled, prepared, w/perfect execution.) And pathetic. (skilled, prepared, w/perfect execution) Thankfully in very unequal measure. Whatever it is about live performance, that can make some old man look pathetic, while playing the music of the young man, was ALWAYS on display. It's only the focus on the question, as to why they feel the need to perform, that grows old along with them. The listening public NEEDS to listen to such performers. Such performers NEED to be heard. It's why all the greats had such an ear about them. It's also what provides a critic like this the time to have a momentary lapse of reason. In which the critic can feel (pretend) that they are on an equal plain, with their subject. Which will lead us back to, do-re-mi. She was obviously oblivious to the fact, that she was just in danger, by "eating eggs in Sammy's" there. Have mercy, Michael.

It was Dylan's voice that was something of an obstacle to overcome and prevented me from getting into his music until the early 90's. It was an all-star tribute concert that caused me to re-evaluate my opinions. When I heard Eddie Vedder sing Masters of War it blew me away. I immediately went out and bought Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. From that point on I was a fan. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to see him live. I agree that his voice is really ragged. Sometimes it suits the song. His album Tempest is amazing.
