This looks like Gwynns Falls Elementary School #60! Ahh, thanks for memories ☺
It is.
I recognized it too....best years were at Lemmel....
Maybe not best years, for me🤣 , but definitely best friends were found at Lemmel! Best memories were trying to get down that hill covered in snow. I lived close to Douglas HS so that walk home was always a trip@@TonisWorld07 🤣
wait so did I I grew up on Smallwood street where did u use to live by Douglass
what years did you attend lempel I attended from 88-90@@525dtmcc
that’s wild seeing oprah at that super bowl party. who would’ve ever imagined where she would be today?
I know right.
I thought that was Oprah. Trying to put the voice with face. I just needed confirmation. Oh. There she goes😅
Miss those days
I love these old videos of Baltimore
Young Marty!😂
These voices of WJZ reporters will be in my head forever. A fail proof test if I’ve lost my mind to dementia etc… play Jerry or Al and if I can’t recognize them, pull the plug.
Same here. Miss Jerry & Al.
Chuck Thompson.
Same here. Grew up in Baltimore in the 80s and 90s I just turned 50 and live in Tennessee now. Sometimes I think about back home. I miss the old Baltimore days.
@@HouseWashingRick the 'old Baltimore' had much more to offer than present day decay....
@@marktwaine9344 yes it did. Do you remember back when they had the American Day Parade at Patterson Park??
1978 was the best year of my life.
WJZ was the All-Star News network for Baltimore.
Thank you so much for this content, Jerry and Al are so intertwined with my childhood in Bmore. Brings a little sadness for sure. All we need is Capt Chesapeake and I'll be done!!!!!!! lol. Thank you for these memories.
good episode
Thanks
Oprah before she sold
Not Oprah Winfrey eating greens in West Baltimore lol
😂 right. I had to play that back to make sure
She for sure took a plate with her 😂
With the Perfect FRO !! 😂😂
Reporter casually sh*tting on DC @ 2:40
Baltimore water is just as bad as dc's
There is no good water as in glacier pure. The amount of pharmacutical residue from global urination is insane.
Lot 🦎 and pimp sting at the TA
I swear he look like Harvey Keitel 4:10
Around January 15, 1978
🤔
THOSE WERE THE BEST DAYS OF BALTIMORE PERIOD
I’m surprised Marty didn’t cover the prostitute story! 😆
11:01 Sounds familiar.
The beat goes on?
We use fluoride as a rat poison

Can someone figure out if this was 78 or 79?
If the one clip is any indication, they mentioned the Cowboys/Broncos Super Bowl which was Super Bowl XII, January 15, 1978
Marty Didn’t age well
It might be that he's wearin a wig, he's always been bald.

2016 Harford Road...@BaltimoreHistoryChannel410...Now and Then Worthy?
Maybe
That block was demolished back in the 1980s. In its place a Revco store was built with a parking lot. It's a dollar store today.
@@neonnorm The sad part is, I only remember that area when it had a SEARS were the North Avenue/Broadway District Court building is now.
