An opportunity arose to fish a spot that's not publicly accessible. There just happened to be some seeerious fish waiting for me there. The timing probably couldn't have been more perfect, and I was very lucky that the fish were hanging right near this dock. The fish were very picky, but this was an awesome session. This is about 6 hours of fishing condensed into 6 minutes. I caught a couple other stripers before getting my GoPro.

Its likely those adult eel will be heading out to the Sargasso sea to spawn. The juveniles come as glass eels into the rivers to grow. Opposite of anadromous fish. Some adult eel will stay around until they get the urge!

Oversized slightly rusted top hook was the secret apparently 5:26 😎 That lure has seen some action ! Those WP were silly....only place I have seen them that large was in Marratooka years ago. Love your stuff dude.

awesome, i always assumed that pond held some biggins. And you nailed it, the oversized belly hook is so key! I do that for just about every single plug I throw. Makes for mostly simple releases. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.

@@SouthForkSalt I just love the fact that I do the same thing and continue to use last years hooks...but you make way better videos than I could imagine. Looking forward to your drone stuff this year as I have the past few years....and yeah drop a yak in that pond and go deep. They used to hammer deep diving cranks. We nicknamed them PerchZilla's.
