@@ChrisTheHobbyGuy Yeah we have seen your video when you caught those monster crabs in your crab pot at Mystic Island. Yes, maybe someday we can do a video together😊.
@@thandastones888 That was a really fun video the crabs on Mystic is really big that's why we call them monster crabs. A really great place to crab is on green street at the end where the piers are in Tuckerton by Mystic Island. The 7 Bridges is great also. God bless you my friends.
Thanks for watching 🥰! I bet there were lots of crabs then🦀. It still is such a beautiful place especially in the morning😊and looks like they repainted the mural there by the entrance.
Oh Yes! Your town is so beautiful😊. You’re so lucky to be living near the river and the pier is always clean. We always enjoy coming here and so far the residents we’ve met have been warm and welcoming🥰 .
Hello friends once again ! Glad to see that you are safe and well. Another super-fine day of crabbing ! Wow, 40 today. Love the 'crab whisperer' t-shirt, glad you took my suggestion; now maybe you can start selling them on-line ? I will be at the head of the line.... Stay safe and well, kindest regards...

LOL. Thanks. I can't wait to get back to crabbing and fishing. It was a big part of my life. My dad had started me when I was 4. We had a summer house on Butler Blvd in bayville growing up. Fishing and crabbing every weekend. ( We originally lived in linden). And I used to work on the miss. Belmar before I moved to PA. So I anxious to get back to it. Lol
I really enjoy your advantage. Thank you for sharing. Is this place difficult to get to by car? And are there people who catch crabs with kayak over there? Is there any fee going there? Thanks!!
😊Parking is on the side streets. I haven’t seen anybody catching crabs on a kayak though. There is a crabbing badge required to use the beach and pier so just bring some cash with you for a day’s pass. Around $10. The drive to the place is not difficult at all😊. Enjoy and good luck 🦀!
Only street parking in this pier. No meters, but watch for their street cleaning hours. Use of the pier and beach requires a badge. $10 dollars. You can wait for the enforcer to make his rounds and pay for the day’s pass. If he called out sick for that day, you’re in luck😊.
Wow that’s a lot! I passed by in Liberty State Park on my way back to NY yesterday and it was gross! The water was so dirty, oily and dark. I won’t be crabbing there.
We’ve been here three times and we’ve never seen it get crowded yet😊. Your best bet is to come early in the morning and on a weekday ( avoid weekends ). Yes you can crab at low tide too. The deeper end of the pier should be a good spot even during low tide. But 2 hours before high tide is better🦀. Good luck😊
@@owenkingsr Yes. We were actually there last weekend but we only got 1 keeper. There were so many small crabs 🦀. The big males have been busy with something else, and have been ignoring the bait and traps. Hopefully it gets better next weekend.
Yes, we believe it’s when they were small and got caught, the handling and releasing causes them to sometimes loose a claw or two in the process. By the time they’re keepers after a few weeks, you’ll see them with their missing claws🦀.
One of our fellow crabbers said they caught 29 crabs just last week on this same river ( Toms River ). So it should be good🦀. It’s Pine Beach Pier, 501 Riverside Dr, Pine Beach, NJ, 08741. Good luck !!!😊
Yes, there are signs that you need a badge to use the pier and go crabbing. You can get it from the municipality or wait for the enforcer to charge you for a day’s pass.

What does Sprite do for crabs? Also did you add water to the pot?
No, we didn’t add any water, just the sprite. It makes the meat a little bit sweeter🦀

We think so. We checked their website and they still require to pay the badge for pier and beach use.
