I find these 70's shows much better than what we're offered today. Something special about the way they were filmed. Great film. Thank you for posting it.
Most US series up until the 90s were shot on Cinema quality black and white or colour 35mm film. This is why classic series up to that time like The Outer Limits (1963), Rawhide, The Big Valley (1968), Dallas, Columbo (1970s), Star Trek (1960s) and many many others, like this series, can still look amazing today. Sadly quality deteriorated starting in the 90s when video tape was used instead. This accounts for the terrible picture quality of ALL the Star Trek spin-offs, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X Files, Xena Warrior Princess, Dr Quinn, The Outer Limits (1995), Twin Peaks, and many others, including the last one or two series of the wonderful Dallas, which then became unwatchable.

Page was one of the greatest actresses this country ever produced. Her three Night Gallery episodes are the best of that series. She's also excellent as the homicidal Mrs Marrable in Whatever Happened to Aunt Alice?
Steve Price oh my goodness I was born in 65, your comment made me realise....oh no!!!!!! I’m 55 this year! The song "Golden Memories" from this episode has now been expanded from the original by Ian Jack and recorded by Australian band Bone Halo. Release date is 26 February 2017 and it will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Google Music from that date.

Thank you! I watched the ending twice and thought it was odd. Why didn't he say "Sit down? No thanks, but they'll have plenty of seating where you're headed!" I half expected the twist ending to be that the sheriff and both of the caretakers were all ghosts or something we didn't see coming. Anyhow, thanks for clarifying what that ending was about.
The biggest mistake of this series was giving Sebastian Cabot an Alias. He was such an enormous star in 1972, they could have had him introduce the episodes as himself and it would have landed a touch of class as it did with Boris Karloff on "Thriller" or Rod Serling on "Night Gallery". The whole Winston Essex thing is just silly Possibly one of Bill Castles ideas.

I worked a lot of evenings and nights in the 70s I never knew this show existed until just now. But I like it. The skeletons though really do not look like skeleton, teeth too white teeth too perfect, top of head has ridge as if attached to rest of head. But all in all I like them for the stories.
I'll be 50 this year never heard of this show but I really like it it was on when I was just born reminds of Friday the 13th the series that used to be on fox around 1987-89
I remember that Series. With the uncle a niece and young man. Have you seen Night Stalker TV Series 1970s about reported Carl Kolchack a reporter of horror stories.
The singer in this episode is American singer Shelby Flint of "Joey" and "Angel on my Shoulder" fame. The song was written by Los Angeles musician Ian Jack. I don't yet know who sang the male part, but I would like to find out. Any bets?
I kind of remember this episode. I also remember Lyn Loring. I never liked her. She always looked demented to me. Other than this episode, I am enjoying the series.
I agree with you so much! I couldn't stand that girl. She had one of the weirdest faces I have ever seen. Huge, crazy-looking saucer eyes! And with all the screaming! But the creepiest thing about it was Rip Torn's (old man) terrible acting!
"She is being captive by demons, acting like they are her family,Everytime you turn around it shows the house with all the spider webs,She has to fight supernatural forces,That is Demon's acting like they are her family,That is !(&$%@$* shit!!!"
I remember when my Grandma Garner would save almost anything because there might be a time when you couldn't get it anymore. She raised 8 children during the great depression. I wonder when hoarding began ❓
I'll have to watch this episode again and pay closer attention. Had the couple exhumed the corpses and reburied them in the cellar? Or had the graves outside been empty all along as part of a ruse? Why were the men murdered, and by whom? Did the old couple actually exist, even, or were they hallucinations on the heroine's part? Did the sheriff intend to arrest them at the end, if in fact they were real and he suspected that they were murderers?
I find these 70's shows much better than what we're offered today. Something special about the way they were filmed.

Stop taking "tonics" from strangers!
😅🤣 😂😂😂🎉🎉😅
I know ppl in these movies make the worst decisions.
Only way I could watch this as a kid was if we were visiting another house. If all the adults talking about the kitchen table we could sneak off to a TV in another room and watch
Lyn Loring's screaming bugged me. Otherwise, I enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Rip Torn.
Geraldine Page. Arguably the best actress ever.
What I like best are the guest stars, actors we haven’t seen in years, here Geraldine Page, Lynn Loring.
Love Ghost Story!
Great series! Thanks for posting.
Spooky show...that title music...
she sure is good at screaming!
Delightful! Well done. My only problem with these is the sound is low and even with headphones at the top, it's difficult to hear, but I endure for the show.
what can I say ...love it ! Thanks
"A Touch of Madness" with guest stars Rip Torn(a very good character actor in film and television),Geraldine Page(film and tv roles),Lyn Losing(has played good and bad characters in many film and tv shows),Michael Bell(has appeared in many tv shows, voice overs, films),),Richard Angarola(veteran of stage, film,&,tv),Stacy Harris(veteran of stage, film,&,tv),Jan Clayton(veteran of film,&,tv),&,George D. Wallace(also tv and film veteran),a weird tale of an emotionally ill woman staying with some mentally unhinged relatives who are mysterious types."-🎃.🌐☢🌐.
"I don't know but I think her Aunt an Uncle are Ghosts!!!"
I worked a lot of evenings and nights in the 70s I never knew this show existed until just now. But I like it. The skeletons though really do not look like skeleton, teeth too white teeth too perfect, top of head has ridge as if attached to rest of head. But all in all I like them for the stories.
Geraldine Page reminds me of Karen Black of 1975’s Trilogy Of Terror... Another GREAT actor.
You are so cute!
She reminfs me of Jennifer Powers.
I'm not clear how the niece came so quickly under the delusion of the aunt and uncle.
je ne m'en lasse pas ... :)
@@abusednomoresilence yeah I watched that when I was watching these and one about a vampire girl and a cat and a mummy and a private detective
The singer in this episode is American singer Shelby Flint of "Joey" and "Angel on my Shoulder" fame. The song was written by Los Angeles musician Ian Jack. I don't yet know who sang the male part, but I would like to find out. Any bets?
l like the song golden memories are sweetest dream that could ever be, my husband/friend are this way now. This song lives in my mind/consciousness.
It sounds a lot like "You don't bring me flowers" But that hadn't been written yet.....
im so enjoying these
"She is in another Dimension !!!"
The two old people sang a song very well but they talked like insane.
Dementia does that. Lol
That's because they were
If I'd woken in the night to see my bedroom was that godawful, I'd have taken a helluva good look at what I was sleeping on!
I thought that too! She didn't seem bothered about what state the bed was in!
Thnx for uploading !
Mr French🥰🥰🥰
Oh! I was trying to place him, but I was thinking Mr. Belvadier. 😊
Best horror in the 70's
I kind of remember this episode. I also remember Lyn Loring. I never liked her. She always looked demented to me. Other than this episode, I am enjoying the series.
I agree with you so much! I couldn't stand that girl. She had one of the weirdest faces I have ever seen. Huge, crazy-looking saucer eyes! And with all the screaming! But the creepiest thing about it was Rip Torn's (old man) terrible acting!
Anything Geraldine Page is in, I'm there. Great Actress!
I wish someone would upload the actual "Night Gallery" with Rod Serling. Does anyone know why it is not available?
@foxfan, Night gallery used to be here on TH-cam I watched quite a few of them.
@Corie B. I have watched Night Gallery on TH-cam before within a couple iof years.
Excellent! It was the two cats and the rat was the butler. Cool!
You had all the same questions that I did. But why did they have the graves as a ruse??? That doesn't make sense to me either?!
