- Lincoln's Premature Baby Birth Story. How cool was this to be able to sit down with him and have this conversation?! If you asked me 9 years ago if I thought I'd be here today, it would have been something I couldn't have even fathomed. What an amazing gift!

Awesome...Sad....Scary....must be for you as Lincoln’s Mother to experience this whole process. Now, Lincoln is just a normal growing up boy even with Cerebral Palsy. The whole family must be so grateful to the doctors, nurses and most of all to God who let Lincoln live a much better life now. Great story!

I have cerebral palsy too! I was born at 32 weeks and weighed 3lb 10oz I was in NICU for a month.

Hi family. I love that I found you by pure chance. Think I’ve put my wee story on one of your other posts?
We we’re born very premature @ 23 weeks. My twin didn’t survive. I would have fit in your hand head to toe. Then @ 6 weeks I developed Meningitis CEP B. Surviving that, I grew up with many problems. Then @ the age of 11 I developed Hydrocephalus. First shunt in. That became blocked, 2nd shunt. Then at the age of 12 I’d a further operation where they drilled a hole to relieve the pressure.
I now @ the of 44, do everything I can to raise money. My highest and proudest to date is £1,010.00 for The Meningitis Research Foundation N. Ireland.

Hi my name is christian I was born at 24 weeks gestation and I also have cerebral palsy caused by a mixed grade III/IV Intraventricular hemorrhage (severe brain bleed). The IVH also caused complex hydrocephalus that I have had 8 brain surgeries and a Ventriculoperitoneal shunt to deal with. This has not stoped me I am finishing my freshman year at Missouri State University studying cell and molecular biology with a minor in child development. Keep up the hard work you can do anything you put you mind to. I believe in you and you family.

Hi my son was 13 weeks premature weight 2lb7oz he also had brain hemorrhage and a pda he was on c-pap and high flow and he's 2 now and also has cerebral palsy and autism your story brought back a lot of memory's xxx you all are amazing
Lincoln had pda as well and we narrowly slipped by the surgery! They gave him IB but it made his brain bleed worse, so they had to stop. We basically had to sit and wait. We were so upset, but by the next morning, it miraculously closed 🙏🏽 I bet your little one is an angel! Thanks for sharing ♥️
Hi guys, who would believe that baby is Lincoln, very determined, to accomplish the goals, while people say no, Lincolb says how & when, there is no No, I admire you guys, and Lincoln who will go the extra mile, and my only wish is to see Lincoln walk on his own, it reminds me of a scene in Forrest Gump, where Forrest Gump is walking with Braces then starts running until he loses the braces, Tom Hanks did a spectacular job, in the portrayal of Forrest Gump, so when I see Lincoln the way he goes running with those crutches, I think he is going to start walking/ running without the crutches.

It's obvious all the love and support he has, and should here the story often and he grows up. The parts that probably make him sad, are the parts that make you cry. He's a lucky little boy, and the rest of the family is lucky to have him just the way he is. It's what makes your family dynamic.

Why does he shake his head like that? Is it a cerebral palsy thing?
It’s the way his brain processes all the stimulation going on around him. It’s regular stuff for us, noise, lights, movement, etc.
I weighed in 8 pounds and 3oz 19 in a half inches long
Scottie was 8lbs 8oz’s
I was in the hospital for 3/1/2 months for hepatitis
Not fun!

Yes. We were able to hold Colten. For a bit. We weren’t able to hold Lincoln until he was over a week old.
I have medical problems and mentality problems and I'm medically disabled developmentally delayed and medically challenged I'm about 6 years old in the brain i can't help that and everyone thinks it's my fault and it's not fare to me trisha

At 18 months old i weighed in about 16 pounds
I weighed in at 8 pounds and 3 oz and 19/ in a half inches long

Lincoln was born 12 weeks early. He was in the NICU for the first 4 months of life.
I was born 3 months early.
Oh.. so 12 weeks early and not 2 weeks. Ok. Yeah, you and Lincoln were both born 3 months early then.

All of the self-help books in the world would not help with parenting because every parent and child are unique. Believe me I know first hand BUT what you are providing and sharing on your channel is far more relatable and valuable to parents having children with special needs, interactions with brothers and sisters and teenagers.You are creating a virtual support community which is very comforting and powerful. AUDREY LYNN OMG... the depth of his understanding kills me. It’s actually been like that since he was very very little. I made a coming home video from the NICU and as we’ve tried to show it to him when he was a little older, he would get so choked up and couldn’t watch it.
