Hi Justin! I still remember going on a double date to see this film as a teenager in 1989. The theatre was packed and it started what we see now as modern superhero films following Superman run in the 70/80s. This figure represents such an important character and I still remember the impact the film had on general audiences and films that followed so it’s nice to see a figure like this from a film that came out almost 30 years ago. And as you can see this figure hasn’t list any of its appeal. The head sculpt is not quite right to me but I think it was the best they could do with such an odd facial feature. Thanks so much for the video 😊💎

I ordered this the day it was released from Comic Sanctorum... it's on it's way and I think it's an amazing 3rd party offer. I like that they really give you the same accessories as the original release. They aren't AS detailed as HT, but they look great. Great review Justin!!! Cheers!!!

Another meticulous review, pointing out all the issues out of the box from the loose ankles to the tie unraveling. You can easily tell you’re a real collector when you point all those things out!

Honestly, the one *accessory* this figure is missing that would make it perfect is a hand with the joy-buzzer he used in the scene where he addressed the other mob bosses...

The DX08 Joker was my very first Sixth Scale figure and still one of my favourites! One thing I was curious about with this figure was if they were going to include that white fabric under-suit to disguise the flesh-coloured wrists. I guess they didn't go for it on this figure. I wish they had done what Sideshow had done and just given him a white body. Are the flesh-coloured wrists noticeable on this figure?

Got it today Justin! Must say is a pretty good deal if you have other figures to prioritize. I got the mime from hot toys and didn’t wanted to spend to much for this so i payed $270 bucks. And really feel it’s well spend money.

Hello there. I just got this figure and, like you, I had to futz around with that ascot to cover the top button. My ankle joints are also very loose, but the figure I got was missing the socks. Are these just standard half socks that I can pick up from any figure? Or are they some specialized sock specifically made for this figure? I really need the socks, so I can plug the socks into the joint or this guy can barely stand on his own. Any input would be great, Justin. Thanks!

@@JustinsCollection The seller said the item was factory sealed. I'm wondering if the socks were only included on early runs of the figure. Aside from your review and Breda's review, I haven't seen the socks on any other Laughing Man figures.

I purchased this months in advance. And got an EXCEPTIONAL price! However, besides missing the stand, this set is missing the money from the Hot Toys set. Further, my shipping box was damaged. Which damaged the box this came in. And worst of all, the long gun was broken in half and lose as a result of the box damage I assume. I am happy with this set. But really bummed at the box damage and the gun damage.
And a stand, the stacks of money and a full deck of cards should have been included.

can you please expand on what you did with the socks to keep the ankles tighter?
I wrapped the top of the balljoint in the end of the sock then pushed them both into the shoe
I got this figure and i think it's pretty good, but i caved and went for the HT version in the end. It's night and day difference to me. The MT doesn't hold a candle to it, like you said.

Re the head sculpt….the tiny surface details are slightly different, but the headsculpt has definitely been knocked off…no two sculptors have the same sensibilities when it comes to interpreting something so whoever resculpted it, didn’t do it from scratch and used the hot toys as a base

Justin -- mate, WHEN are we going to stop pretending that Mars, or Saturn Toys (planetary coincidence, lol?) started from scratch on these Hot Toys 'remakes'?* IMHO, they were provided with the molds & patterns, and cut a few corners (no wires in jacket), or couldn't source the exact materials (buttons, colors, etc) that the original used.
I suspect this is a way for Hot Toys to make additional money on their developmental investments without doing an official 'reissue' (and pissing off their customers in the process) -- and also avoiding licensing fees.
That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. 🤫👍
* To wit: The Romero Joker is too good to have been created by a 3rd party -- it has Hot Toys written all over it!! After the lackluster response to the *original* Dynamic Duo, I believe they felt the Joker wasn't going to sell quickly enough.

Oh ummm yeah not a thing. Hot toys are far too busy making an insane amount of figures per year. I have also spoken directly to the owner of mars toys and I can confirm he is not Howard Chan lol. I love a good conspiracy theory too but this ain't it.

Lots of scamming going on at eBay with this figure. I got scammed out of mine. Very frustrating, scammers are getting so good on eBay with fake feedback etc. I don’t understand how this still happens there.

these two are not different headsulpts. Mars Toys is totally recast (COPY) hot toys’.
Did a little revision doesn’t mean the headsulpt isn’t a copy.
To my eye there are enough differences to say this could be new, without comment from them I am not confident saying either way
