The volume level isn’t indicative of the quality, and it would make more sense if Saf matched the volume levels when putting the video together.
Andrew Compton well, he probably didnt edit the volume(why would he do that lol). And this comparison is not the only one that has closed and shitty micro audio on iPhone x, every other comparison does too

Gosh man, this is by far the best camera comparison test I’ve watched on TH-cam so far.
So basically, the iPhone X is only better for dynamic range and colours, but the Note 9 is better at everything else

Note 9 got a cinematic look to it.. also you can fix the color balance in the settings if you want for the note 9

@@dangersounds607 not to quibble but in England color is spelt colour (Canadians can use either spelling so we are used to both). It's been that way for a few centuries at least. Not sure what it was for middle English. They spell quite a few words differently.

@@kanoandlupo3707 Well what you said is true but iPhone uses sapphire powder for their camera lens which I think makes shots a little bit better. I'm currently using S8+ and pre ordered the Note 9, but previous generations of the iphone camera does beat the Samsung. Samsung only makes screens for the iPhone because they own the Amoled patent so no phone can do that screen with out giving some $ to Samsung. I dont know about other parts though. I know that iphone screens aren't 100% sapphire, but it still has sapphire which is better than nothing. But I'm still gonna stick with Samsung. Just saying some facts.

The galaxy has way better stabilisation on both cameras. Also sound recording is better on the Note 9.
Stabilization, give you that but Audio is unbeaten, iPhones always have thw best.

@@mazzalean077 For me the audio always been better on iPhone than on any other smartphone, I'm surprised that its mono, the best way to compare is to go to a live concert and record a video, in my experience, iPhone was better than anything, for example, i used to have old Galaxy S3 and iPhone 4s, Samsung's sound was so distorted that it was impossible to listen to it, while iPhone 4s had amazing quality, maybe thats because its mono, not sure, but looks like Note 8 that i have right now records sound very well, but again, not better than iPhone 4s...

I have both devices, I’m pretty happy with both, iPhone is a little faster, but I can’t do as much on the iPhone compared to my note 9, and the battery life on note 9 is second to non!

I got a note 9 not so long back and as a photographer I have to admit the camera never impressed me at all from the get go, however once I new how to get the best from it I think the camera is very, very impressive, no, not perfect but not far off, the low light performance is really amazing and I shall be testing it out much more.

Colors looked much more vibrant on the iPhone video. However, the Note had WAY better stabilization and the colors are more accurate to real life. Also don't forget that they can be edited!

I'm surprised to see how good the dynamic range on iPhone X in daylight conditions! It used to be only ok in this regard so it's nice to see some improvement in camera quality on iPhone.
The video stabilization on Samsung is amazing! When you were running it didn't even look like you were moving at all. The dynamic range I agree is ' a little better On the iPhone. The note 9 shoots some really amazing pics though. Using a s9 plus I'm very satisfies. Can't wait for the S10 plus with those triple cameras! 2 on the front. Awesome video dude !

For what I see in this video. For the video side, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 win both rear and front facing camera in the video stabilization. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has also a very very good dynamic range, good exposure and saturation and it also has a better audio quality and a sharper image. Auto Focus on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is super super fast. The super slow motion in Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is also amazing. Over all Samsung Galaxy Note win!

Dynamic range is better on the iPhone however the details are better on the note
prakhar gupta samsung just needs to tweak the software with updates. Then the HDR will improve. Hardwarewise i would say that samsung's cameras are capable of better HDR.
Altandush Hoffmann but they won’t tweak the software because it’s Samsung. You’ll get maybe 2 major updates before the new Samsung is released, whereas my 3 year old iPhone 6s is still supported

I would have to say it's mostly up to preference for a lot of these. The Note 9 definitely has better audio and video with the front facing camera. The back camera has similar to or slightly better stabilization. The dynamic range is alright for the Note and I can see it does a good job on the iPhone X. The only thing I think I disagree with Saf on is the 2nd portrait mode shot. That one the Note 9 exposes for the subject and not the background which for portraits it's doing it's intended purpose better. Other than that the Note kills iPhone in low light and iPhone really only has slightly better dynamic range. Plus as a photographer I'd use pro mode so for me the note 9 is better. Overall great comparison and it's nice that the iPhone is still not bad for being behind. It did alright. Not for me though, glad I'm getting my note 9 next Friday 👌

Daylight pictures sometimes IPhone X and sometimes Note 9. Low Light picture or video Note 9, stabilization or audio output is better in Note 9.
