Showing the issue I had with lifting the front with liftabrand 3 inch lift cups/strut spacers. The struts are the wrong part so I couldn't get it lined up.

Some Grand Marquis got the air suspension so it differs. I used 02 Moog Expedition springs and the shocks are from the liftabrand 3" inch lift kit for my vehicle. The are basically f150 shocks tho. The front use strut spacers or cups that go on top. I bought everything as a kit and order the coil springs on its own because I didn't want to use the cups in the back. They don't really hold up good and can pop out. I just went with the springs for a more natural lift and ride. Its a good idea to get new upper control arms and change the sway bar links while you have everything broke down. I'm taking it a step farther by replacing the rotors and brakes and even the parking brakes in the back. For me it was a better piece of mind to just replace as much as I could since I will be riding 6s and up moving forward and all the shit have to come apart anyway. Didn't want to put old parts back on. Shit needed changing anyway. The only thing I didn't do was get the extended trailing arms in the back and tubular upper control arms in the front because with a 3" inch lift those stock parts will still work. Once you go 5" and up you will have to change all that because the stock parts wont work. All of what you need to change or replace depend on their condition and you will be able to tell when you start breaking everything down. If your boots on your ball joints are busted, change the upper control arms. Same with your sway bar links. If you never changed your rotors and pads now is a good time to do so. It all depends on how thorough you want to be. Hope this helps
You need an angle grinder with metal cutting disk. You can get it at Harbor Freight. I showed what I use in my last video. Cutting is permanent so make sure you cut in increments so you don't over cut. You have to finish your lift put the wheels on and turn to see where u need to cut. Alot of putting them on, marking where they touch when you turn and taking them off to cut. Best advice is to take your time.
I JUST finished putting all the parts on. I'm doing the final trimming and then ima break it down and send it to the paint shop. Honestly, you going to spend some money if you want to do it right and have a peace of mind riding. I got a 3 inch lift kit from liftabrand, Expedition springs, new control arms, sway bar links, brakes and rotors front and back. Gotta include having to spend money on the right size sockets and other tools at Harbor Freight. I spent some money frfr and I ain't done spending yet lol. I did all my work myself. A lot of time. energy and defeated days and nights getting shit right. I won't say its hard just time consuming based on how thorough you want to be. Plus ordering parts and shit take time also. I'm going to make a final video breaking down everything once she is finished like i did for my 04.
I got Monroe struts on my 07 towncar an fits an rides perfect problem is ppl think they know what there doing so instead trying to do it yourself take an pay someone who can do it
The struts was twisted. Only way to fix it was to decompress the spring and twist the shock in which I wasn't going to do nor that I should have. The part was defective. Have a good day.

You can buy the bare minimum and save money and risk having to come back and do more work but I didn't want that so I replace all my suspension front and back. 2X

You dont need a dealer license. Just find a city auction and get a good one. Try online police auctions as well. Crown Vics arent hard to find

02 springs. Extended shocks from liftabrand 3 inch lift kit. I got the springs because I didn't want to use the cups
