Me to could not find warbat at all
I knew I had no chance in finding warbat or Mecha Godzilla so I got them off EBay in a double pack for $35 which isn’t bad.
It’s not bad relative to other scalpers, but it’s still bad. It’s still over what you should be paying. It’s aggravating
I hated myself for buying a few toys the other year but I really wanted the characters for my show and every toy store trip was coming up dry. I’m very resentful still - I want kids to be buying these toys first and foremost

I did manage to get some of my GvK figures from Walmart but the others I had to wait and find cheap listings online. At first I thought I was just late to get them because naturally they will stop selling them at some point, but now considering scalpers and only the battle roars line are the only consistent figures I’ve seen, (or maybe that line just isn’t sealing well in general), I’m starting to get concerned.
I just came from Mexico, and i saw multiple of these. One of the sets had a gigan but white and blue claws. Wish i took a picture

This opened up a whole new level of nostalgia for me. Coming from a Mexican family who went to Flea Markets every Sunday I grew up with toys like these all the time, I still have a few in my attic somewhere but I remember my absolute favorite was an Anguirus figure that was just solid plastic with no articulation but something about it stuck with me, I used to take it wherever I went, I even took it to Church a few times with my family but just saying as a kid those Mexican bootlegs are more than enough. I only ever had one Bandai soft Vinyl of ‘68 Godzilla from Kmart as a kid and the bootlegs scaled nicely to it and was perfect for it, despite the low quality pain job

I like how, despite the fact this is 2022, and how far toy making technology has come, these still have that amazing pre-80's bootleg figure look right down to the sloppy, minimal painting. It's almost as if someone from Imperial Toys had a time machine, went far into the future to see what Godzilla toys would be like and brought them back and make them their selves.
Those toys are bad ass! I’ve always loved bootlegged stuff!

I'm from Mexico and it's very common to see this kind of figures! You should buy more, as there are some that are very worthwhile and there are others that are not so good, but in general if they are worth it! They are also good for customizing them.

In all seriousness, this bootleg design of Mechagodzilla is WAY better than that butt-ugly Bayformers shit-stain we got in GVK! I’d rather have that bootleg design over the GVK design ANY day! Yes , i get the Mechagodzilla mexican bootleg for 7 dollars in a “Tianguis” , after time i get the original for 12 dollars , the quality in the Bootlegs in Mexico is “strange” , if we also talk about the fact that they are made of garbage plastic by default, and to think that there are people who say "MEXICAN PRIDE" when for me they are not even well made to begin with Godzilla molds look like the American godzilla of 1998 with overweight and in the case Kong is more similar to Peter Jackson's Kong but with Steroids and poorly proportioned

So, as a mexican I could explain a little more about the figures(which are very common to see on diferent places.
This figures are obviusly fake,but yes, there are MANY types of those figures, of pokemon, super mario, dragon ball even FNAF figures, and also the godzilla figures, these 2 are the more detalied, some of them have light and even sound, the figures are arround 1 dollar, we can see it on tianguis (very cheap markets), oh and I forgot to say that I have 3 bootleg figures, 2 of GvK and the other one is an enormous thermo godzilla with sound. and yes, I have seen this guys lots of times

I really like the translucent blue one too! I haven't bought any weird D&D stuff like this online yet but I have found a bunch of the 80s stuff in stores every once in awhile. I will keep an eye out for any Godzilla stuff for you!

I was lucky enough to get one regular Godzilla, Kong and MechaGodzilla off the shelves before they all vanished. But I love these bootlegs. Especially that first Godzilla. He's so chunky. Reminds me of Trend Masters.

I own the Godzilla and Kong figures from the second set, but these are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of Mexican bootlegs, like an other fairly common bootleg is the imperial Godzilla but scaled down a bit, and they come in different sizes, colors and patterns. One day i even found what it seemed to be a bootleg version of the Mechagodzilla 2 figure by Sh monsterarts, but it was black and red with very little articulation, but the mold really looked identical to the Sh figure.

MIB, that's a great video. That Homer Simpson joke was great. I would recommend you getting that figure, the jokes with the with it on Skull Island on the show would be pretty funny.
It has been a while since i went to a flea market where the bootlegs flood almost every stand, but i remember seeing dragonball, pokémon and Ben 10 figurines made out of this translucent colored soft plastic, those were everywhere and also pretty cool

The begining skit is super accurate, the only Godzilla vs Kong toy I would find at Wal-Mart was Battle Roar Godzilla but I don't want that, I wanted a Skull Crawler
I myself went ahead and purchased Mexican bootlegs of Godzilla vs Kong figures which included Godzilla,Mechagodzilla, Kong 1 &2 and two Skull Crawlers. I also tested them for led but they came out positive.
Man, the Sense Of Right Alliance expanded a lot since the last time we saw it. They even got two versions of Mazinger.

Well I am Mexican/Jewish, and I’ve never seen those bootlegs since I live and was born in the United States, but I definitely like the real Godzilla vs Kong for my opinion
Mexican here, these types of toys can be find on local markets, and some stores that sell cheaper toys. They usually sell from whatever movie or show is popular at the time, for example they used to sell transparent DBZ toys.
There were some interesting Mexican Godzilla 1998 bootlegs that I came across a while ago, both so cool that I would have absolutely dropped $100 plus to have them. One was a bootleg of the Trendmasters Ultimate Godzilla, in the same scale, but made completely of soft rubber. It looked like one of those stuffed dinosaur toys youd get from Toys R Us back in the day. The other was even cooler. I think it was a bootleg of the Resaurus puppet, this time the whole body. It was in scale and could stand on its own, and had a tail that was appropriately long for the size of the body. Looked really fucking cool.

I can at least hypothesize for you all that the shortage of these figures isn't just scalpers. I've worked at Walmart unloading trucks during their release and I almost NEVER see packages for these toys come off the truck. I only got my Warbat and MechaGodzilla from taking them straight out of the box and that was only one time that I was able to catch it. Playmates just isn't sending them in, at least in my area (no, we can't just order more, it's actually not possible).

I was scrolling threw ebay when O saw the bootleg bandai godzilla 1984, I was about to get it when I saw a bootleg godzilla 2004 and kiryu 2003, hopefully they are as good as the real ones.
I’m a Hispanic subscriber/viewer of yours & unfortunately I haven’t seen those bootlegs around anywhere, but then again I haven’t gone anywhere lately lol

You can usually find these at outdoor swapmeets. No cap, although I wasn't interested in getting them, they looked pretty cool though. I ended getting a godzilla that I'm pretty sure was burning godzilla but the burn areas were painted gold, his dorsal fins were painted gold, the whole body was black, and he had red pupils
Lol. I have a full collection of Playmates GvK figures, but I would totally buy the first set for how derpy they look.
