What impresses me most about the McGrady sequence is that he not only scored 13 points, he scored 13 points in a game where the final result was 81-80. The guy scored 16% of their total points in 33 seconds.
The craziest part about TMac’s sequence is that throughout the whole thing the rockets had to intentionally foul and the spurs made every single free throw…yet he still managed to make the comeback
What was even more impressive about that T-Mac 13 points in 33 seconds was that he did it against the Spurs who had the lowest defensive rating by far that year and in fact had a historic defense and somehow, T-Mac pulled that off.

When you say it it seems wrong but defensive rating is actually a stat that's good when it's the lowest.
Loving the "increasingly" series. Please do more. A few ideas I'd like to see: Misses but they become increasingly more costly Mismatches but they become increasingly more unfair Street moves in the NBA but they become increasingly more unique Cold streaks but they become longer

His heart literally broke when he realized he didn't have a choice, and so did most of ours. In a way I think the fan base literally found themselves living through Brandon while he played, and once he was done, it was a collective recognition of that fact.

I still remember that exact sequence perfectly. MAN I miss those days. Thomas Robinson may not have been positively impactful overall on his teams, but god sake he was so much fun to watch in the little spurts he did get. He was best used like that too - super short little situational spurts of time, like 2-4 minutes at a time, max of around 10 minutes in a game. One of the most inconvenient kinds of role players, but undoubtedly impactful as hell when used that way. And to think, that was what? 2014 or 2015? 7 or 8 years ago now! Like, DAMN!
