- My top ranked plays of the 2000s decade. Did best I could re: video quality and picking the plays, easily could have gone another 100 deep. All content belongs to NBA blah blah blah, hope it's enjoyed.
The amount of nostalgia this creates can’t be put into words
Nailed it
I feel like I remember 80% of these from watching Sportscenter
You are so so right
It is amazing, I remember all these plays like it was yesterday
Without gather step, zero step, etc… they were still cooking
This era of basketball has soo much athleticism, finesse and swagger to the game
It's so wild to see Chris Paul so young and KD in a Sonics jersey. Time flies, man. I remember the old Suns/Spurs rivalry and how it took Nash 5 years to get past them.
Brandon Roy too....man that guy was destined for the HOF. Sad story.
Brandon Roy was an amazing player and in my opinion one of the greatest "what if" of the NBA. I remember being hyped as fuck when he was announced to play for the Wolves with Rubio and Kevin Love (even though he was already plagued with injuries at that time). He played like 3 games and got the last injury on the knee that ended his career. I also read that much later he got shot when shielding a kid from a shooting. Mad respect for that man.
wasn’t much of a rivalry when spurs always beat the suns lol
@@TsukiRaiki it's a rivalry if they keep playing each other and the series are always close. The Knicks always played the Heat and won but I'd still consider them a fierce rival. Phoenix did finally get past them in 2010 anyway.
@@TsukiRaikisuns beat them in 92, 93, 2000 and 2010
Good job, this takes a lot of effort
I remember when a lot of these happened man good times man
Robert Horry is one of the most underrated players of all time. He may not have been the superstar or the first option but it’s not a coincidence the guy has 7 rings.
He’s a major part of 3 different dynasties pretty crazy
It's partly a coincidence. If he'd been on other teams, he'd have 0 rings.
@@Cannon4545 my point exactly. You can say that about anyone.
@@mummistheword Well, no, you couldn't.
Take Michael Jordan and switch him from the 91 Bulls to the 91 Lakers, and I'll give you one guess who wins.
Or switch him out of the Bulls roster in 96, 97 and 98 onto the competing teams... and the Sonics, Jazz and Pacers are each getting a ring.
The same can't be said for Robert Horry.
@@Cannon4545Hard to say, Phil Jackson’s system is the key, later his system brought Lakers 3 more rings. MJ is undoubtedly one of the best players ever, but without the right people around him, he may not have as many rings. But you can’t change the past, MJ happens to be on that team, worked with one of the greatest coach, with great teammates, and during his era there aren’t as many super strong competitors (there were great superstars but the average talent in the league wasn’t as strong). those factors made him the MJ we all know. So coincidence, or luck, plays a great part in everyone’s life.
Before the zero gather step bs
As a basketballer from the 90s and 2000s, I can confirm that we recorded our games with a potato.
prince block on reggie was one of the best blocks in nba history. perfect timing..
I’m 29, this video brought me back to be a kid/teen watching highlights with my friends getting hyped 🔥 cool vid
Nash to Stoudemire anybody? Think against Finley and Duncan there... 2000's were amazing
This era 2000s along w/ the 90s and 80s were pure nostalgia and were just so magical! 😮
Iverson was smooth. He might not have been the best player ever but he sure as hell looked the best doing it!
We had it so good y'all... Id GLADLY go back to this era of ball ANY DAY of the week.
Best era of basketball in my opinion, perfect combination of physicality and athleticism
My favorite era of basketball my favorite player all time in this era & goes to show Dwade was very underrated & how quickly Lebron became a star throughout this era ⭐️
The greatest era. The skill and defense in their highest point
Nah, definitely the peak of defense in the nba but skill has never been higher than it is today. What the game lacks today is the same sort of artistry the older generations have. Some of the best players still have the artistry (namely kyrie, steph, Luka, Joker, etc) but there is little artistry amongst the role players these days. They play rather robotically because they are expected to do a very specific role, there havent been many jason williams or Rafer Alston type role players that play with flavor lol now, there's a good reason for that: it's not the most efficient playing style. But boy was it incredible to watch lol I think we are seeing a little more flavor in the game now than we have in the last 15 years or so but it's still nothing like the early-mid 00s.
@@DeadSezSo skill of 2020s since Wemby, 2010s was soft and easy cause there were not centers
That’s an absolute lie. 00s is notorious for their lack of offense.
@@alphatrusbensiii8381 BS. Kobe. Tim. Nash. Lebron.
there were just some amazing defensive teams making noise just on their D alone like the pistons.
@@Cristian-vm1bg you named 4 players out of 30 teams
Very nice compilation, thanks for your work
They Gon say they done with the 2000s too 🤦🏽♂️ when we love our old school basketball 💯🔥
I wish they would do an NBA 90s/80s version of this
21:43 that "number 33" is and will always be my #1. So elegant. Never seen anything like it in terms of grace.
8:35-8:39 Steve Nash talking about he would've blocked Ricky Davis is the best part of this video for me. 😂😅 Not saying it's not possible because Steve was a beast on both ends of the floor, but we're talking about a known high flyer (who clearly got the first step away from the hands and area of his defender while coming towards him in motion, and was already in the air), VS a small not known for dunking guard, with seldom hops. Yeah that was funny. Love the confidence doe Steve. 😂😅❤
Enjoyed EVERY SECOND of this video. Thank you so much!!
ouuuh, just what I'm looking for Friday night🙌
3:04 i could watch this era of basketball + with an instrumental track in the back like that for HOURS
SWEAR 💯💯
Merci pour le partage !
C'était le bon temps.
I was at that Pistons game...everybody came back running down the stairs!😂😂😂💯✌🏾and we won!
When NBA was all about competition. Everybody was ready to compete every time. No Superteam BS.
When the first play is white chocolate, you know it’s a good compilation
Amazing, this would atleast take a year to make
I’m so glad I grew up in these eras back when sports was the real deal it was the love for the game.
Makes me sad to see the Kings lose, but these are some great highlights. Nice job!
2000 had the best combination of the tuff era and the skil era of now. By far the best overall talent of ANY ERA--1-8 on the bench
Rasheed at #94 was a buzzer beater you never see highlights of anymore. Very cool!@
Stg Brandon Roy is underrated af. Would've been one of the greats if it weren't for injuries.
thats what i said, roy might be top 3 what if with penny & grant
Tim Duncan with that hammer on Ben Wallace. Everybody talk about who was the best pf in that era that dunk encapsulated it perfectly. When Ben was scaring the s*** out of everyone Tim let him know with his actions how he felt
Fire 🔥 video
Ray allen vs steve nash was an absolute trully one of the ages match,. Triple overtime and that was cold blooded pull the trigger,. God damn
The summer I started watching/playing basketball what a time 😮💨🤞🏽
When basketball was good!
Good video. McGrady should be #1 though
ok, its official, top 3 most underated stars from 2000-2009 are brandon roy, robert horry, josh smith, and the future hall of famer everyone loves to disrespect, the one and only stephon marbary
i actually think brandon roy "what if" ranks with penny & grant
If Shaq played today and nobody could lay a finger on him without getting a foul, he’d have 50 a game.
It’s beyond me how role players were sitting just inside the three point line.
The jerseys in the era are so big, guys are just swimming in them.
AI is practically playing with a jacket lol
Jesus Christ, Marv Albert has witnessed some incredible moments.
Plays of the 2000s, and you could still see MJ there
Nate Robinson blocking Yao is nuts.
luke ridnour was so underrated guy...
39:18 This 4show should’ve been number one,I watched this in real time
The era for me
Hope Gen Z will find this video
That marbury pass 🔥🚒🔥 🚒🔥
I’ve been looking for this
Honestly that Kobe behind the back should have been higher I still haven't seen anyone pull no shit like that in a nba game
Good I’m old…so many I was there moments😂😂
A lot these highlights I never seen b4
Heavy Gratitude
Alotta amazing things here but im gunna highlight Derek Fisher, what a guy. Like steve kerr with the bulls but better
So many flashy passers during that time.
Half man half goat 😊😂
god i miss these days
Damn. 101 was already pretty damn hype.
A lot of Celtics in here lmao
10:44
WHAT IS JAMEER NELSON THINKING?!
...BUT I LOVED HOW THEY DEFENDED IT
The best era of the NBA by far!
Hell yeah to the AI homage.
I remember that missed foul call on Melo at 6:18. I believe NBA apologized.
we needed more yao vs shaq
Carter is legend
You don’t see no traveling illegal screens or carries out there
Yeah I did that 1:11
NBA used to be so pure
are the highlisghts from 2000s better than the 2010s? im really curious. pls make a versus comparison of the the top 10 plays per year ex. top 10 of 2001 versus top 10 of 2011
I mean I think so. I could be wrong about this but I think players then had better basketball IQ and awareness. Where these days and even in the 2010’s it’s all about who has the nicest dunk, back in the 2000’s you had all these nice passes and blocks
@@spacehead4725 tbh kyries top 10 alone could probably trump the 2000s highlights
I think the game has expanded and gotten much more better. Faster stronger athletes. Fundamentals from some American players are lacking though
@@Antbeast23 agree sometimes they make unnecessary moves wherein they could probably just pull up for the shot. Ultimately if a game was set between the 2020s vs the 2000s. It could probably be a draw. imagine players in the 2000s were like mini jokic and lukas
NBA W A S Fantastic
Yo VC coulda been a villain if he wanted to.
How have I never seen the Ray Allen one hand rim hang dunk? That shit was ridiculous.
If you look at d wade, him and kobe was on the same level at a time. After wade won the chip in 06, him as a none were neck and neck into Bryant won his chip
Putting Iverson ahead 13 pts in 35s, come on man
1:26 bruh
What the hell, that was the number one pick, Iverson making open jumpers. Yeah, because he clanged 3/5 of his jumpers anyway
Look, This is The NBA in 2000's. .😮❤
And it is not Even the NBA , Now.😂
Swift was mad at the rim.
D-Wade and Paul Pierce have almost identical stats and people act like Wade was so much better. It’s so strange.
It's no coincidence that Kobe was at #24 and and Bron at #23....
I see you
Lower resolution but higher quality
The announcers used to inhale the fxckin highlights
absolute prime i take shaq c duncan pf tmac sf kobe sg rose pg all in prime
More Videos please
Stephon Marbury is now a Hong Kong Citizen 🇭🇰
A crossover is the best play in 10 years. Haha
18:42 swift two hand dunk fukn krazy
😂😂😂😂
5:30 Dwight enjoyed that
カーメロのシュートフォームが最高。
Golden era
#40 Shaq was wide open lol
5:13 Dwight Howard did that on purpose 😅
Don’t think Jason Williams was bailed out… he knew what he was gonna do
Stromile Swift was not a name I expected to see twice in the top 50
