    No, no, no… you’ve *still* missed the point. It’s nothing to do with football being considered ‘like a religion’. Celtic are not and never have been exclusively Catholic. They are predominantly Catholic but have always encouraged all denominations. Rangers now Newco have always practised a sectarian elitist policy of signing only Protestants until the arrival of Graham Souness who was responsible for changing that Protocol. Until Rangers went bust and fell to sequestration in 2012.

    • @crs2385
      @crs2385 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alanbbrady8196 Actually Celtic did have an anti Protestant policy at the start of the club's existence. In recent years Celtic fans, like Rangers fans have chanted religious bigotry. Celtic fans have literally hung effigies of Rangers fans siting violence. Along with ''kill all huns'' ''kill all Brits'' ''orange bastard'' ect ect. Celtic have always encouraged demoninations? What nonsense. Your club literally has demonized area's of their own support for daring to vote conservative, or support the Royal Family. Your club is far from inclusive! Oh sure i'll admit Rangers have had our own problems with bigotry, but to kid on it's just a Rangers problem? It's a myth. Both sides have problems with bigotry, and if there's anything worse than a villain it's a villain pretending to be the ''good guy'', which is what Celtic continue to paint themselves as. Also Rangers as a club didn't ''go bust'', and that ''Newco'' isn't the club, it's the company which operates the club. But again don't let facts get in the way of your bias. After all you already tried to deny your own bigotry, and claim it's only a ''Rangers problem''. This is why most folk hate Celtic because the tims cannot admit their own wrong doings. At least we're honest about our problems.

Glasgow has 2 main teams - in the blue corner are Rangers, protestant team, supporters are generally all about a hatred of the catholic church and everything it stands for - even believe the pope is the anti christ. In the green corner are Celtic, anti protestant, hate the royal family, club was founded to support irish catholic immigrants........ connolly is a celtic supporter.

    Just one little correction about the football/religion part. Glasgow is famous for having two huge football clubs that have historical ties to different branches of Christianity. Rangers have a very protestant, pro uk leaning history, while Celtic have a Catholic, pro independence history. These religious and political differences have caused a lot of hatred amongst the clubs supporters over the years. So when Billy says the terrorists dont even have a football team, he is referring to the fact that the current intolerant, religious zealots in Glasgow do have a team.

    Yeah, Glasgow !
    Years ago I had a job installing computers in banks and call centres. We had a big job on in Glasgow, a 500 PC mortgage centre. We'd been on the road for 6 weeks with hardly a break doing the whole of the UK for a well known bank. I was sick of hotel life so decided to go into Glasgow centre and check out the lively club scene. No one out of 40 other guys on the team had the guts to come, and we'd just done Northern Ireland when the 'troubles' were still a thing. When my taxi arrived at the hotel in Renfrew I asked the driver to take me to a club, any club, as long as it was lively. (I've got an Englishman ! Hell aye... I'm going to fuck him up !). ' Aye, Pal, I'll take you to Bonkers on Sauchiehall Street, you'll love it'.
    The warning sign should have been the bouncers using metal detectors, even on the women.
    I get in, get a pint, there's some banging hardcore house playing, all good. Then the DJ comes on...'Is there any fuckin' English in here ?!' LOUD BOOS from EVERY SINGLE PUNTER !!! I have no where to hide, I think I've been rumbled. But no, after he winds up the crowd a bit more he puts on a hardcore version of 'Scotland The Brave' which must have been at least 160 bpm. The place went wild. People on tables, whooping like cowboys, drinks flying all over the place...
